...And to the woods, to Grandmothers house we go...

Hey! I visited my grandparents for Easter, and since I was bored I whipped out my trusty camera and took pictures. They turned out really well. These have been edited with photo-editing programs, but nothing was added (except the edge shadows on some pictures) ...They looked better on my computer. Darn.




Yes, I'm helping out with Global Warming. Throwing pine cones to be eaten by flames is fun!








You don't see a sign like that every day...








These two (above and below) are my favorites. No, the heart is not photoshop! It was on the bark!









Oh, and these are really blurry and not very good (Apparently, peacocks don't like me. And they're fast runners and high jumpers) but I thought ya'll might enjoy them:

These are all wonderful pictures. I love the fire photo as well as the one with the heart on the bark. The first picture is pretty too. And that "Church" sign is rather commical. I've actually never seen a sign like that before.

You could probably use these to create a Contest or something. I'm sure whatever submission you get would be awesome.

I love these. I like how you actually took a subject matter, rather than just snapped a picture of something pretty, which is what a lot of people do.

I think my favourite three are the one of the church sign, the one of the end of a bench (I like that one because it makes me wonder what else is in that scene, seeing as we only see a tiny portion of the actual landscape) and the one of all the trees in the forest. I like that one because of the way the light spreads out and makes the photo look kind of creepy. Maybe, if you were to take it again, you could take it from the ground so we could feel the full height of the trees?

I think on the top one, the sun behind the tree is too bright. It makes everything all blurry.

But overall, j'adore.

I'm incredibly harsh, but fair. I look for perfection in a photograph, even if that perfection is completely random. Please don't hate me for nit picking or take what I say too harshly, it's just what I do, and remember either practice & nitpicking eventually makes perfect.
(though, some of your photographs already are perfect- well as close as a photograph can get anyways)

starting at the bottom & working my way up:

I like them, and besides the bird ones, they're (for the most part) good.

The one right before the birds.. it's not very... interesting.

the bark with the heart? meh. If it was more brown instead of purple looking,I'd be more impressed.

the next 2 above the bark one. Beautiful. I like the way their done. I especially love the way the flower looks then the feeling in the other one.

the picnic table & the church sign... the church signs unique, and both manage to set a mood, incredible job.

the tree one? I don't like it. with all the trees being so similar in colour, it just makes the picture look blurry in places. The right idea's there, but try to find trees that have more variety in colours, it might keep that blurry-ish look away.

the flames? A good fire shot is hard to capture, but you did an okay job. I just wish you could see everything in the background, or have it pure dark, otherwise it draws away from the flame.

the sun with the trees? (the very top one) is pretty,and well taken. not my style in the slightest, but its pretty. I find it to be almost too centered, and have too even of proportions, or as my photography teacher would say 'you forgot the rule of thirds' (Whatever that means). Not to mention, the sun may be just a tad bit too bright, and be making it a bit blurry,


Overall: their good.

I find the flower, the tree one (the one right below the flower), the church sign, and the picnic bench to be your best. Those ones impressed me.

The church sign is so cute! I love it. I like how its angled. And the picnic table i love too! I don't know why i like those two so much. Your other pictures are good too! But those are my favorite...

I like these, you clearly have skill with a camera! Okay, I don't know much about photography, but maybe you could play around with the focus a bit more, especially on the bird pics. The first five are my favourites. They are perfect from what I can see, I like the way you capture the fire, brilliant. But on some of the others, I think you need to have a main focus in the picture, like on the bird ones, maybe you could have focused on the wire mesh, and had the birds blurry, just for something different. I don't know, as I say, I'm no expert. Apart from my ittle nipicks, I thought these were really artistic, and some were actually what I would call beautiful, which is a big compliment from me, trust me! These were really nice, so thank you for posting!
