"He had kept me in the shadows until then. Before he left, he gave me a scheduel and told me to be at the locations at the propper time. Planetary debates, all of them. I went to...thrity-five of them. All were related to extensive mining done by the Worlds Elite Steel Company. After this, I was sent to a gathering of Sith, to give detailed overviews of what happened, who did what...
"The head of Worlds Elite Steel Company was there. When he spoke, everything got quiet and cold. I made a minor slip of the tongue and said something to Darth Dersun that would have gotten me killed, but The Elite Lord wouldn't let it happen. He killed Dersun before the entire assembly. For some reason, Elite Lord Vengence would brook no resistence to me in his presence." She stopped.
" All proceeds from WESC had gone to a fund to pay off politicians to cast their vote the way they wanted. Elite Lord Vengence wanted to exterminate the Jedi."
Something made her stop.

Name: Darth Vengence
Age: 27
Race: Human
Home Planet: Couruscant
Affiliation: Sith
Class: Lord
Lightsaber color/description: Double bladed red
Description: Cool and caloused, he has power over other warring Lords, including Darth Sario and a handful of others. He can choose to appear as a "tall, dark, and handsome" young man, luring innocents into his plans for destruction.
Bio: When a Sith Lord corrupted him, he killed his own parents. It took very little work to bring the youngster with temper problems to the Dark Side. One of his younger sisters and two brothers also died at his hand, but the youngest was spared (mostly for the money it would bring as a slave, but partly because the soon-to-be-Vengence had a deep attachtment to it that his master wasn't aware of). He later killed his own master and defeated several Lords. He demands absolute submission and obedience of all those beneath him. He is determined to bring about the end of the Jedi, who refused him early training because his violent tendencies.

Darth Vengence smiled to himself. That young man would do well in his service. He had dedication. He had will, and he had power. He'd been following the kid for nearly a week. Austrara Lenx. Austrara...pitiful name, but names could be changed. Same as occupations. Bounty-hunter was hardly his lot in life. and now that his boss was deceased. Vengence leaned back in approval. All that was left was for the Jedi to reject the kid, and Austrara would be his.
A thought crossed his mind. He knew the task the kid would perform to "prove" himself. Bring me Evgrisa. Simple, yet excruitatingly hard to complete. But Austrara wasn't a person Evgrisa would suspect. Now, little Jedi, he thought, just turn the boy down. Turn him down and let him be mine. Give me backing to slaughter the Jedi once and for all.

"Is that all you know? Or is there more?" Vico asked, carefully. "This will greatly help the council in our task..." he was interrupted by a buzzing at the door.
"Enter," he said.
"Master Starweaver, we are approaching Couruscant. We should be there within the hour," the guard who had entered said.
"Excellent," Master Starweaver said.
"Also," the guard continued, "Here is a communication from Grif Syler," he handed the holoplate to Master Starweaver.
"Thank you, William," Master Starweaver said, taking the tablet.
Vico activated the communication.
"Grif? Are you there?" he asked, waiting patiently for his response.

Something wasn't right. Evgrisa felt it, and she started to shiver. Trouble was nearby. It was on Couruscant. There was nothing she could do but listen to their conversation.

((Well, I dunno what I should do, I was waiting for Griffonkeepers' character, but it appears he has gone AWOL. Should I write both parts of the conversation, then?))

Austarara follows the Jedi to 2 Jedi people.
We get off to the rhythm of the trigger and destruction. Fallujah to New Orleans with impunity to kill. We are the hidden fist of the free market.
We are the ink, we are the quill.

((I'll turn things my way, since Sabradan is taking a while. Note: Location is on ship to begin with.))

The message started, but not two words in, static drowned our Grif's voice. Something terminated the connection. Master Starweaver tried again, but Evgrisa knew it was in vain.
"William, can you find the coordinates of the message's orgin and take us there?" She asked.
"Yes, maam, I can."
"Thank you."
Master Starweaver sat still, not trying the tablet anymore. Evgrisa knew the look of one deep in thought, and she left him to his thoughts.

*********************************************************************************************

By the time they arrived on the surface, Master Starweaver seemed to have a plan. They both went to meet with Grif, but Evgrisa hung back. She had no business to meddle with Jedi things so directly.
Someone caught her eye. He was tall, easily two heads taller than her, with dusty black hair and a lean figure. She might not have identified him if it weren't for his vexed eyes with his vulpine craftiness. Evgrisa wandered over, not drawing his attention until she stood directly behind him.
"Ever find out who killed Sario?"
At her words, the man jumped and hissed. "Who are you?" his words were sharp, coupled with intent mind-searching. Evgrisa's mind fogged, as she'd made a habit of.
"You don't know, do you? That's your way of avoiding unknown facts; asking a question in responce."
"Evgrisa." The word was scarcely said, and his eyebrows furrowed. His lip curled as he spat, "You've alligned yourself with the Jedi, then. That Master Starweaver." Evgrisa gave no response, verbally or otherwise. The man continued,
"Why don't I kill both them here? I'm an upstanding member of this society, not to mention I have power in the judicial courts to send you to the death pits of Vegahba."
She smiled. Never had he been so defensive before. "Then do so. But first you'd want to reassure yourself of my dedication to the Jedi and their frail order...and to my severence of you, Elite Lord Vengence."
He cringed, and she refused to stop, "If I were loyal to them, I would report you immediately. "
"Then I'd kill them, and you with them." he spat, and she felt his anger rising.
"What good would that do? i've asked you to end my life before. You would be gratifying my wish."
The conversation between the two Jedi seemed to be winding down.
Vengence stalked away, but stopped and half-turned, "They won't trust you. I don't trust you. He doesn't trust you. Watch your back, little Evgrisa. They'll be there. And look above, for I will be there. Death is not looking for you."

Then he was gone. Suddenly, she shuddered. Her hands refused to stop shaking. She had been asking for death, poking sticks into its cage, and yet she still lived. How? What role was she supposed to play?...and who did she allign herself with?

((sorry, I've been busy))

Master Starweaver and Grif Skyler walked back towards where Evgrisa was standing.
"Evgrisa, this is Grif Skyler. He was my padawan, until a few years ago," Vico said, motioning to Grif. Grif nodded his head politely. Master Starweaver continued, saying,
"Come, Evgrisa, the Jedi Council awaits, and they must hear the news that you have told me. For, we have been given grave news," He paused for a moment, contemplating the force, looking at and pondering Evgrisa. He continued, "It appears that Senator Maeltus of Yavin IV was on a diplomatic mission to the outer rim--Tatooine to be exact. However, his convoy was attacked by unidentified attackers and has been taken captive. We think the Sith may be involved, and your knowledge and insight may unravel some much needed clues to what actually happened, as well as the whereabouts of Senator Maeltus." He told Evgrisa, as they walked into the Jedi Council, with Grif in toe.

((No problem...hope i didn't inconvenience you...Isn't Austrara with us? i think he is...hmmm...Austrara must be waiting outside the doors to the Jedi Council. That OK Fontroy?))

Evgrisa stepped into the room, somewhat near Master Starweaver, but apart from him. The circularly seated council unnervered her for a second while she was struck with one of her repressed memories; a tomb of the living, with flesh falling off their bones, insane, hungry for something not rotting...Relax. She wasn't sure if someone had placed the thought there, or if she'd commanded it herself. Used to such memories and how to keep them from haunting her, she focused on a different memory. The sound of a flute she used to play; she'd worn it around her neck for years. Almost. She could almost hear it with her ears...the memories faded back to nothing, where they wouldn't trouble her again.
"Be mindful of your thoughts."
It was a Cerrelian who said it. He was beyond the prime of his life and was showing some physical weariness of the elderly. Her memory told her that he was connected to green land...not green. Jade. "Master Jade Landu, isn't it?"
Landu. Orith had stormed off after Landu defeated him, near Kazzik...something about Elite Lord Vengence punishing him...something about a trade for income on Tatooine... Which trade? She'd have to find the code word for it first...It would come, but not by forcing. Patience, for now.
A few of the Council were new to her. Familiar, but the time had passed that she was required to identify who they were by one factor alone.

Master Starweaver and Grif Sylver bowed their heads as they stood in the center of the council.
"Greetings, Masters," He said.
"Greetings, Master Starweaver, Young Sylver," said one of the Jedis, a Yavinian, Jade Landu.
"Greetings, Master Landu," Master Starweaver said. "I came as soon as I got the council's message," he said.
"And, we can see you brought a visitor with you," Landu said, dissappointed. "You know that is against the code," he added.
"Master Landu, this is no guest. She stowed away on my ship, and was found by security and brought to me. She has in her possession Orith's original saber. She says she was a slave to Orith. I also feel that she is force sensitive. I can feel it. And, I took a midichlorian count, and she is off the charts, Masters," he said.
"She is too old," Master Landu said. "Although, we may see what the force has in store for her," he continued. "In the meantime, what information do you have for us?"
"Well, Masters, Evgrisa--the girl, he said, correcting himself, has much information that could be useful to us. Ask her your questions," he said, bowing his head.

Something didn't settle right, and she adressed Master Landu, "You say I am too old. For some things, yes. Others, no. Same goes for everyone, everything. If you are going to question me, please do so specifically. I assume you meant I am too old to be considered for jedi training. I am not too old to learn, however, I am too old by your standards to be trained. I didn't come here to seek training. I came to offer my services, to their full extent and limitation. Use it or disreguard it as it pleases you, Masters." She dipped her head.
"I have been severed from Sith society for three years now. I have some recent information, but most of what I know came from before that time. I know more about Darth Vengence than most would, and know how he has operated his organization in the past. I am not certain of his financial businesses of late, but I know that today he has several justices on his payroll. I believe he has a surplus of currency because of this." She said, showing a sample of what she knew.

((Welcome!))

Master Starweaver spoke again, saying,
"Master Landu, I urge you take her information. It may prove very useful. Then, when you see her potential with force, you may wish to begin training her. The force is strong with her."
At this, another Master, a Dagoban ((I don't know what race Yoda-people really are called)) named Yudan, interjected,
"With her, strong the force is. Feel it, I do. Training, rule out we must not."
Jade Landu sighed deeply, and said,
"If Master Yudan says we shouldn't rule out training, then we shall not rule it out. However, I must say that I have my doubts. Please, young one," he said, motioning towards Evgrisa, with his outstreched palm, "please enlighten us."

For a short space of time I remained at the window watching the pallid lightnings that played above Mont Blanc and listening to the rushing of the Arve, which pursued its noise way beneath. The same lulling sounds acted as a lullaby to my too keen sensations; when I placed my head upon my pillow, sleep crept over me; I felt it as it came and blessed the giver of oblivion.
