In Honour

I'm not sure if this should go here and I know it's not put together very well. I placed the pictures together in the best way I could. I don't have photoshop or any good programs like that so I made do with what I had. Tell me if you can read the words and if I should add any more pictures to it.

It's in honour of someone dear who we lost recently and no it isn't a person. I've never missed a dog as much as I miss Wolfie. Never.

I spent like 15 minutes or more, typing up an awesome review for this. Then my computer decided it was time to restart itself, and I lost it. Hopefully I can remember all the points I brought up the first time.

Normally I get to the point but first I must admit it made me go awwwh =[ and not many pictures do that. (Its really touching)

The top left picture, (the largest one). The best picture without a doubt. It's adorable, a good angle, and well taken.

The two below it, both cute but I'm sad the writing covers up the eyes on the right one.

Top right image. Cuteness! (is that a real word? meh. Who cares?) Anyways the eyes stand out a lot but I think the colour in the animals eyes is from the light when you took the photo. Especially without any sort of editing program hard to get rid of.

The bottom right one. hmm.. Cute. However, cute or not I am curious to what the orange thing is and I would of preferred to see the face. I do know that taking face shots of animals isn't easy, but in all the other pictures you did a good job of it.

The words- AWWWWHHH. so sweet ='[ I would of chosen another colour, because theres a couple of spots its harder to read, but I have no idea what colour, and for all I know that might be the very best colour out there.

BIGGER PICTURE- Incredibly sweet, incredibly adorable. Good job, and I'm sorry about your dog. Its well put together.

JUST an idea, but if you wanted you could add more pictures, overlap a couple of corners and such, then in the middle put in a clip art of a scroll or something, and put the words on that. Maybe add a tiny dog bone clip art in the corner. It'd make it look almost like a page out of a scrap book or something, but I'm not sure thats what your going for.

(if your at all interested in the idea, and don't know how I can teach you, and all you need is a word program, a keyboard which I'm sure you have, internet which I'm sure you have, and regular old every day paint,)

Oh when it comes to adding more pictures. That's up to you. It'd be good either way, but the thing is, it's your picture for him, not for us, so do what you think is right.

Hmm... the font and color of the words make it very hard to read... I noticed some of the punctuation and capitalization is incorrect, too.

The pictures are perfect, though! Picture perfect. Perfect pictures, picture perfect... yeah.

Haha sorry for the pretty much useless review... but I like reviewing photography once in a while. I think it is very sweet you did this in honor of... oh yes, Wolfie.

The only reason I made this is because I needed another way to express my grief besides just saying I miss the dog. I can't write poetry so I did the next best thing: Placed a bunch of pictures of Wolfie together and wrote some words to show my pain.

I also noticed the eyes were covered after I posted here *sighs* The orange thing around him is his blanket. He was dragging it around the house so I put it on top of him. I don't know why I chose that picture. I suppose it didn't matter to me if his face was facing the camera or not. It just popped out so I used it.

I made this with the every day Paint as that is all we have. I do like that idea though. It sounds cute and a great way to improve this picture.

My sister took all the pictures of Wolfie as he was her dog. But, I took the large one when he was laying on top of me ^_^ She had all the great photos of him so...

Okay, so, let's critique.


This is great, but I think that it needs to appear less cluttered, dear.

You can do this by using same-sized photos. Align them respectively, so that the sizes match up and you don't have to "puzzle piece" together the rest of the collage.

The big photo, where Wolfie has snow on his nose, is absolutely a great photo for a tribute. That alone can work very, very well, if you had the words at the bottom corner of the photograph, away from his facial features. It'd make a great tribute, dear. ^^

Also! Avoid using pictures that were taken with a flash bulb! The key to artistic photos is not using the flash when you can, and if you do, you have to have the right composition. Toning down the saturation afterwards helps too, because flash tends to over expose, and then over saturate color, making everything look... greasy-ish. And shrinking flashed photos is always a pain.


So! I think that what would be really cool is if you did a big photo in the middle, and put all of these little ones of Wolfie surrounding it.

The colors are a bit distracting, too. It's like "Look here!" "No, look here!". A good way you can remedy this is by using colorization, or going grey scale. Like, leave the big picture in color, and put the smaller ones in grey.


Aaaaand! Font color! You really want to use a font color that compliments the photo graphs, preferrably a brown or grey, and if it blends, use a drop shadow or stroke to make it stand out ^^.

Nevertheless, a sweet, sweet tribute, for a beautiful pet, dear.

Your review was so helpful. I changed everything up a bit so the big picture is in the middle. I purpously put the font on the big picture. For some reason, it seemed appropriate.

The orange font seems to match the colours in the photos but please tell me what you all think of the new one ^_^
