Another one of my favourites. It was from the same shoot as my last picture, but about two blocks away by a shopping center.

So! Finally, we get a taste of your work. And you only give us one? Unfair, Rosey. Unfair. Major unfairity going on there.

Anywho!

So! This is cool! Strangely, although it's graffiti and all, it looks so distinctively different from any graffiti I have ever seen before. Like, not just in a sense that it's smaller and neater and blah-- I'm ranting!

xD Anyway! As for improvements for this, dear, I think that if you were coming from another angle, this would be classic. Like, if you were standing sideways, instead of facefront, so that the words were either coming towards or away from you in the picture, it would totally give a nice, abstract feel to this. Nevertheless, it's wonderful.

The monotony of the colors, and the clarity of this all is brilliant. Well done, dear, and keep it up! (That's an order, by the way; not an option)

Sorry it took me a awhile to get to this!

Meaning
I'm not sure if this is just graffiti or not, but, it holds a deep meaning I think. The "I was here" symbolizes a past and that a civilization was there. Although, I'm sure some kid just put that there as a 'cool' thing to do.

I think you should mess around with the coloring a bit. You can do that on photobucket. Photobucket is free and really great to store pictures.

That will help immensely with any future pictures you have. With this you can change colors and hues of things.


Color
I like how the color is all very similar to each other, although like I said before, phtobucket can let you mess with that. Maybe it might be nice to try?
I also like how it seems to ooze down the metal. This really paints a picture for me. I mean, I can see a kid with a spray paint bottle and him writing that there. It's quite humorous.


Overall: I liked this photo, Rosey!

When I look at it I get the feel of someone leaving behind a trail. Either so someone can follow, or so if they ever see it neccisarry, they can return to where they started. That, or someone marking down there past, making a memory that while may fade in their mind, won't fade from the place.

I will admit, I agree with spring, I would of chosen a different angle. But then again, I don't know where you were or what sort of background you'd of ended up with if you had of changed angles, so either way; good shot.

For graffiti, its a bit more original. As it looks like someone really took the time to put it there. Not many spend the time to do that sort of thing.

I love this.
This is a great picture.. simple with an obvious focus, brings up emotions quite well and easily, is neat and cleanly taken. Nice framing as well.
However, I would recommend some possible play with the exposure or contrast. Or both. It feels just a little washed out to be, and I feel like it could feel deeper.
This is a great piece though, as-is. Just to restate that.

I looked through your other photos, but when I found this one, I knew it was the one I really NEEDED to review. This photo is perfect. Everything about it is brilliant. All portions of the screen have something going on, and the I Was Here, almost made me want to cry... This would be an amazing cover for a novel and for lots of other things. The lighting is perfect and the subject matter, intense. Love it love it love it =]]

Hello! Only about my second art review, and more critique-ish than my last.

Personally, I agree that an angle would have made this wonderful. I think by going head on, you lost some of the magnificence the photo could have had. Maybe a side angle where the bench blurs at parts, or from below. Then again, I love doing different angles with my photography and maybe its more of a personal preference? Who knows. I just think I would have absolutely loved this if there was more interest in the angle.

I also agree that the colors could use a tad bit of work. They look dull (which, as black/greys/whites I know this seems unavoidable), but I think with a bit of touching up you could really make the darks darker and the lights lighter, therefore making the "I was here" really pop.

Other than that, I really, really do like this! Its a unique form of graffiti for sure, and although I prefer natural photography, I think this is actually very interesting and lovely! Well done!

Beautiful. One, it reminded me of this whole wall of graffiti that was by my old house that I still want to take a picture of. Two, it made me think of somebody running away, trying to get away, but leaving something behind just in case they could never come back. (I could write a story from this photo. You win at being inspirational.)

I also liked the fact that the bar itself stood out and the background looked blurry. That's probably rather normal, but I rarely take pictures of things--I stick to taking pictures of my art and showing off my art, not the photos.

Otherwise, fexcellent job.

One thing, though: That photo isn't quite straight, is it? I don't believe so. Somehow. ...My OCD's getting worse, obviously. It's probably not noticeable and I'm just going mad. Eh. Or maybe the fence is crooked. *squints*

Anyway, can't wait to see what else you might post. Keep up the good work.
