I didn't plan on doing NaPo; I was going to be busy with Screnzy.

Then, I found out that our literature teacher is going to "celebrate" National Poetry Month.

And June has begged me.

And I have already written a poem on both days.

Oh well.

NOTE: I wrote this first one for class, so that's why it is what it is.

Me

Like a bear:
protective of those they care.

Like a cat:
sneaky and a sleuth,
but always seeking comfort.

Like the blue and yellow:
the one everyone likes,
and the one only some do.

Like a lemon:
sour if picked too early.

Like a computer:
knows and stores a lot of information,
and on a bad day, is slow.

Like a rock in a gravel driveway:
not noticed,
but always listening.

Like a carriage:
stylish,
but in the wrong time.

Like a teddy bear:
always giving comfort,
and always has free hugs.

(Eek!)

Ha! That's such a cool structure, and it seems like something one of my old teachers would assign us. I really like it, especially the carriage and the colors ones.

Eek!

Stares

Never leaving,
Always glaring,
Staring curiously.

Always on me.
Spotlight’s gleaming,
Or is it just my head?

Every day,
Harder than before,
Almost giving up.

People watching,
Teasing, yelling,
Your life is a show.

Agony inside,
Trying to stay alive,
Holding on to Love.

Er.

Because of reasons (my dad took it) I can't post the poem I did for April 3.

April 4, 2009

In trying

In the stillness of the day
In all the silence, nothing to say

In agonized pain
In keeping sane

In trying to fight
In the darkness of the night

In the trying
In the crying

Happy Poem

My dad wanted me to write a poem
With happiness and cheer
Little flowers and bird singing
About how spring is almost near

But everything I write
Seems worse the Twilight

Bring Closer

The day draws to an end
And I realize all that is close to me
Is farther away
Than what I want it to be

All those things I want,
Bring happiness everyday
More beautiful than a rainbow
And I never want it to go away

Come closer now
Let me be with it
Be with the good
And stay away from the bad bit

Happy poem = epic win. ;)
"Let's eat, Grandma!" as opposed to "Let's eat Grandma!": punctuation saves lives.

"Bring Closer" is a cool poem because it has a very defined tone to it, that I can practically hear someone reading it out loud. Cool stuff ^_^

NaPoWriMo kills
I cannot write a poem
So just deal with this.

Don't you love my haiku?

I absolutely love Bring Closer.

As for the er, haiku; it's interesting...
But I know totally how you feel. Sometimes my head just feels empty and I can't come with two versus for the life of me. But I'm enjoying NaPo. :D

I loved I'm Trying. It's pretty simple, but I just love it.

And the Happy Poem..... Priceless. ^_^

A Week and Six Days

A week and six days
In a variety of many ways
Can make my heart flutter and sing

As I wished with all my might
You asked me that night
And now we are still together

The news spread like a blast
And no one thought it would last
But we proved them wrong

I might be confused in my mind
But our hands are kept intertwined
And I want it to stay

A short time it may seem
But for me, it’s been a dream
A week and six days
