Fooled

This is April Fool's Day
Anything goes
You will get tricked
Egad! This is not a real holiday!

I walk to school
Go into my classroom
Sit down quietly at my desk
Egad! My teacher has handed me a detention slip!

I go to drama club
I greet the instructors
Set myself up in my spot
Egad! I have been dropped from the show!

I go to swim practice
Set my equipment by my lane
Get ready
Egad! Somebody has cut a hole in my swim cap!

I go home
Take a shower
Watch my favorite TV shows
Egad! Somebody has set the parental block!

I am tired
I climb into my bed,
Wrap the covers over my head
Egad! Somebody has short-sheeted me!

That was April Fool's Day
Anything goes

Egad! That was not a real holiday!

Sweet and simple - I like it

It does get a bit tedious, the repetition of the same structure over so many verses, so you might want to think about cutting one or two just to make it a smoother ride for the reader. Some punctuation might also help. I like the repetition of the last verse that links it to the first, though. I don't think April Fools is a real Holiday either
