So on page one, I asked to save a spot ... seeing as the ratio of girls to guys is uneven, I guess I shall make a guy. (Not being sexist ... I'm just not very good writing with the other gender ...)

Name: Kale Ledger

Age: 17

Appearance:This is him. Kale may come off as a very cool, respectable, and graceful person. In truth, Kale just wants to have fun at school! [Hurrah!] Kale has shaggy straight black hair - that has a slight silver tinge when touched by the sunlight. His hair is constantly getting in his eyes. He has vivid bronze eyes that are always bright and full of personality. They perfectly mirror his emotions straight through them - something he absolutely hates, because he hates seeming 'sensitive'. He has tan skin - the type of dark skin that kids from Malibu would look like. He has a pianists hands, meaning they're long, boney, and calloused because of the things he does. Kale, overall, is just a lanky - too lanky - teenage boy.

Personality: Hm ... what word describes him best? Well, in two - sarcastically humoristic. He loves using humour, and is a barrel of fun to be around. He has been known to prowl around the school, slamming himself against lockers, his hands making a gun, just to give everyone a laugh. However, he tends to be shy around most girls, and strangers, and until he becomes confortable, he'll hide behind someone.

Kale can seem very care-free and respectable, but he's the last person you'd want to plan an event. He's disorganized, he fools around, and he acts like an idiot. He neglects his homework, usually finishing it on the morning bus, or copying it off someone in the morning.

Kale comes off as very kind, but doesn't know the first thing about love! He is a horrible flirt, and tends to seem very cold and mean, at times, because he likes someone so much. Kale is protective, though, and would be very worried about his girlfriend, constantly wondering if she's all right - maybe even going to see her and check. He's too protective.

Interests: He used to play the piano, but currently plays the bass (you know, the bass that is used in jazz, the big string instrument ...?). He loves track and field because he's fast, and he's great at high-jump. Kale also has been pratising parkour. Kale has a rickety old blue bike, that he's constantly trying to fix because it breaks. He doesn't have a car.

Background: You will find this out throughout.

Other: Up for love. Wears clothes like this, this, and this.

So ... yah. If anyone wants to bring me in ...?

Kyle

He felt a little foolish, having come to the wrong dormitory, but the piece of paper he'd been given... Kyle retrieved it from his pocket and looked down at it. He sighed. Two fourteen, not one fourteen, it says.

The voice crackled over the school's speaker system, telling them to being the auditorium in five minutes or to face the consequences of lateness. He picked up his bags and started sprinting towards the hallways marked for thentwo hundred's calling out over his shoulder with a laugh, "Come on, don't want to be late on the first day!"
Just as he started turning back around, he bumped into a girl and went stumbling backwards, dropping one of his bags. "Whoah!" he said, "Careful there!"

He collected his bag and looked about himself. "Does anyone know how far it is to the auditorium? Do I have time to dump my bags and then head down?"

Casey~

I knew. I knew I was the only one who knew my way around. Most of them just got here while I was showing off in front of the coaches all morning.

I knew the guy needed help but I wanted to stay with my new friends and get to the auditorium on time. It would be risky, showing the guy where his room was, catching up with the others, and so forth but hey, life is about risks, right?

"I know where the auditorium is. And I'm not sure if you're going to have enough time but I can come with you if you want." I said, already turning back around.

The two other girls shrugged and looked like they wanted to keep going to the auditorium. I went ahead and left them and the boy followed me up the stairs.

"I'm Casey by the way." I said, over my shoulder.

"Kyle."

Kyle

They got I the dorms with little extra trouble, and from there finding his room was even easier. He dropped his bags on one of the beds and smiled at Casey, "Thanks for the help, and nice to meet you, but the way."

"Same to you." she replied, also smiling.

"All students who are not already in the auditorium, please be advised that you have only two minutes remaining."

Kyle grinned at Casey, "Uh-oh. I guess we're going to have to run if we want to make it in time." He paused, smirking slightly, "You're not going to slow me down, are you?"

Winnie.

I smiled to myself and walked into my room. I put my stuff on one of the beds and sat down. The room was, well, boring. I didn't like living with other people, maybe nobody would show up.

I played with the bracelet on my wrist before walking out of the room. I passed people talking and getting acquainted.

Maybe, this wouldn't be so bad after all.

After I said goodbye to the girl I talked to, I dumped my bags in my room and went out. Then I went in again and shut the door as I exhaled loudly. I was so not coming out. There were at least a hundred people out there, it was so crowded in that hallway. I would just wait for things to calm down, and then I would go down and meet people. Later , not now. It was one of those crazy first days. I began unpacking.

*So sorry guys! My internet died on me...*

Alexander went into the kitchen and got an apple out of the cupboard, then exited the room and started running to the auditorium. There were loads of people in the corridoor, in their rooms and other. He was tempted to stop and talk to them, but the speaker had said everyone who was not there in five minutes will be punished.

I was forced to actually go out and become a part of the crowd outside. The principal had just said that anyone who wasn't there within five would be punished. That was ridiculous, was this like ..boot camp or what?

I climbed down the stairs as I made my way to the auditorium, watching all the people that seemed to be making friends already. I felt sort of lonely, as I wrapped my hands around my waist.

"Hey there, you seem like you need some company." I turned toewards the voice that was so obviously directed at me. I smiled, slightly.

*Anyone can jump in*

I'm jumping in at your post, Stel, but I'm just modifying what Kale says.

Kale

Kale swept through the halls, pinning himself against lockers, his hands locked in the shape of a 'gun'. Yes, this was his escape. The silly guidance counsellor was hot on his heels. He needed to escape somehow ...

Kale came to the corner nearest the auditorium, and Kale jumped around the corner, rolling as he did so on his side. He jumped up, his hair and clothes distraught. "H-Hello," Kale stammered, noticing a girl standing before him.

She looked ... lonely in sorts. Her hands wrapped around her waist. She looked up. Immediately Kale wanted to shrink back, and hide from her. He felt so nervous around pretty girls.

He heard footsteps clipping against the hallway tiles. Here came the guidance counsellor. "If you'll excuse me," He said with a nock bow, before locking his hands together in the gun-like shape, and darting around the corner of the door of the auditorium. There was so much chatter, that no one even noticed Kale jumping in with his dynamic James Bond entry.

I entered the auditorium, staring at the guy, who had just said "hello" to me and that acted like James Bond.

"Hi," I said, "Do you like it here, so far?

I tried to make conversation. This was my chance of making friends.

*my bad entirely for not posting sooner*
Casey
''Maybe. Maybe not.'' I said, giving Kyle the same sly smile.
Then, I bolted out of the room, full speed. I heard him yell for me to wait up but I ignored him.
''Betcha can't catch me, slow poke!'' I yelled as I threw open the door and ran out into the lawn.
I turned my head around to see where he was. Kyle was only a few feet behind me. I laughed and tried to go faster but when I looked forwards again I tripped on a tree root coming out of the ground. I landed with a thump and my knee started to throb in pain. It wasn't long until I heard Kyle asking me if I was alright.

Kyle

He skidded to a stop just beside Casey, suddenly feeling bad. After all, it was him who'd challenged her to a race. "You alright?" He asked, bending over.

"Yeah, fine." She said as she clambered back to her feet.

"I guess you were going to win anyway," He said, seeming a little annoyed about it, "You think we can still make it to the auditorium?"

At that very moment, the principal's oice echoed over the speakers, "Any students left outside the auditorium, please report to my office after the meeting is over for your punishment. Do not attempt to avoid it, we know which of you have failed to attend."

"Guess there's not much point going now." He laughed.

The James Bond guy, didn't hear me, oh well, so much for making friend on my first day.

I walked towards the seats in the auditorium, until I bumped into the girl that had greeted me at the entrance.

"Oh hey, Kristen. How's it going?" I said, as I took my seat. We chatted for a while, until the guy, who was supposedly the principal, hushed us all.

*I should be able to post more often soon guys. I'm coming home from my vacation...*
Casey
My knee hurt but I was used to injuries so I just brushed my blue jeans off and Kyle helped me up.
''Well, we could sneak our way in couldn't we?'' I said, pleadingly. I could hear Dad's thunderous voice already. Its the first day, Casey! The first day!
''Well we're going to get punished anyway, whatever that means'' Kyle said smiling.
I wanted to swipe it off his face. This was not a smiling predicament. This was absolutely horrible.
''I say we take a chance and sneak in the auditorium. But we can't take the front door. We have to find another entrance.'' I said.

It was worth the try.

You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.
— Rod Serling
