I'll probably end up deleting this since I'm uneasy about posting it.

Okay. Big. Big. Big. BIG note. This isn't love. This isn't a spilling out truthful feelings like most of my writings because over the past few months, I've been through a lot. (Most of it is the reason I haven't been on YWS or writing for that matter.)

Have you ever seen a movie and there is sex scenes? This short, 4 paged story deals a lot with sexual content. I don't want to offend any one but it's writing. Writing doesn't have to be pleasing to everyone's ears. I really just want to get this off my chest. About 75% of this is from my own, first hand experience and thoughts so please at least respect that before bashing me down. Some of you, like Kat! know that I'm a good, loving and caring person and that we each have our downfalls so don't bash down on me from writing something that might offend you. There is a lesson at the end of this, by the way. Once again, this is almost like a vent before I'm taken away from my computer again...

To be quite honest, I never thought a day in my life I would keep a diary. Then again, to be quite honest, I never thought a day in my life I would be in an all-girls boarding school…

It happened a year ago and I miss it more than anything. His name was Ashton and he was mine for at least every night I desired him. At the time, I was heavy into smoking marijuana and I swear on my grave, I would give anything to have my beautiful bowl at my fingertips again. I had my red hair down at my waist and it was straightened to perfection or curled to beauty everyday. I miss that, too (Boarding schools do have regulations, sadly). I wore the sexiest but most expensive clothes I was able to buy, I was never a tease though. I always flirted because I honestly did like having a boy go insane over me.

Most girls who didn’t know me would read the above paragraph, call me a ‘whore’, ‘slut’, ‘too wild’ or my personal favorite, a girl going down the wrong path. In my own world, everyone has a different path, though. I honestly think there’s one path for everyone because at the end of every mistake, there’s always that hope to keep going down the path. I lost that hope long ago.

Back to my point, diary. I was a girl who was building my path in high school, though. I was in ninth grade, I was beautiful, I was fifteen, I had amazing friends and I had pot at my hands any time I felt the need, too. That’s what having a dealing sister does to you. I also had the upper classmen potheads and lacrosse players to depend on, and that, diary, is what having a senior brother does to you.

So, Ashton. He was in the grade above me; he was sixteen. He was amazingly hot in my opinion and I bet he still is. He was tall, lanky in an attractive way (he would look so bad all built up. You know how some skinny boys have really nice, decent sized muscles? Meet Ashton!) He had six pack abbs, boy! He had pretty blue eyes and dark, dark hair. Man, did he ever look like the Italian he was.

A lot of girls thought Ashton was gorgeous, but not in a football player way. A way where you’re like ‘he’s a man whore’ type person. Especially considering the fact that everyone, even the teachers, knew that Ashton was involved with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and doing everything else good kids wouldn’t dream of doing. I’m sorry to say that I was on that same page. Welcome to my life(:

Ashton was also a jokester, too. He did make some teachers laugh, some scream and some suspend him. Being the Italian he is and the full bread Italian I am, we both had Italian class together. That’s where I really got to know him. I was already friends with most of his but I never got close to him, I was almost intimidated to. Then I did, and that’s where this takes off.

First, it was doing Italian homework together. Then it was smoking pot together. Then it was ‘You’re my really good friend’, and as much as I didn’t believe it, I liked the way it came from his lips. He was so unbelievably hot to me I couldn’t control myself and on that Monday afternoon, I pounced on him. He was a bit taken back but knowing Ashton, he was all down for it. That night, we just made out.

The next weekend, the second day of winter break, my parents were out of town and my sister threw a party. With Ashton living a few houses away, he walked over and we were in my basement on the ratty old bed. He was teasing me about my cat getting all my attention. I placed the cat on the floor (well, I actually threw him in a loving way… if that’s possible) and the next thing I knew, Ashton’s tongue was down my throat. It felt so good. One of the best feelings in the world is to know that the guy that looks so tough, so in control is moaning beneath you.

He was so experienced and the next thing I knew I was giving him a hand job. To hear ‘I’m so ready to fuck’ escape his lips made my whole body shiver. Was I ready for that? No. So I stayed quiet and that’s when we heard people coming and we stopped. An hour later when watching a movie away from everyone else, he asked to continue our “rendezvous” from earlier and once again, he was moaning telling me ‘He liked when I played with him’. To most people, that sounds ‘dirty’ or ‘wrong’ but to me, I was so into it.

A week later, I was at his house and he asked to see my boobs. I was still self conscious so I refused and he said it was perfectly fine. We watched TV until my mom called telling me it was time to go home. After that, we didn’t talk for a while since school was out. The first week back I didn’t see him either since we had mid-terms. I felt like he didn’t want to talk to me since he wasn’t texting me either.

Then one day I decided to text him and things were back to ‘normal’. You could think he was using me, but in a way yes he was. Then again, in a way so was I and he was fine with it. So, I was too, diary.

A few more times of us fooling around, it lead to me giving him head. I’m not going to lie to you - it was fun! Haha. I know, I know. “You’re a whore!” But I think you have to try something before you judge it. Really, you really, really do. And just to get this off my chest, Ashton did finger me and it felt amazing as well.

Pretty soon, you all know what this lead to:
“If… if you get bored [of head] then can I ask you a question?”
“What?”
“Do you want to fuck?”

NOW! Most people would stop and think: of course not! I’m fifteen, I want to lose my virginity to someone I love. No. I liked fooling around with Ashton and I wanted more of him. I didn’t believe in love anymore, it happened to me once and it doesn’t last. Nothing can last forever. So, I said this:

“Sure!” And it happened. Ashton took my virginity for an hour straight and I loved every moment of it. Oh, I loved having sex with Ashton. It was any time I wanted it, I had it. The way he moaned in my ear like he was weak only made me feel more in charge. The way we wrestled with each other and the seductive kisses on my neck as I closed the door of his bedroom and locked it from behind me, the way I liked how we were friends in the process. None of that awkward ‘I love you’ bullshit. No. I liked being in a friendship with a lot of benefits.

Then, one day after Ashton and I did it, I went home and my parents looked at me weird. A week later, they found out and I thought I might have died right then and there. They pulled me out of school after a freaking drug test as well, finding out about my marijuana habits, and placed me in this year round, all-girls boarding school. I was to be here until they felt I was ready to go home.

At this stupid place, they asked me to take off all of my piercings (ears, nose, belly button and both hips). They couldn’t really do anything about my tattoo on my hip that extended to my pelvic bone but who could really do anything about it, it’s not like anyone here was seeing it. They took everything that might be ‘sexually-related’ in my life out and left me with the same, boring uniform, short red hair and no makeup. After being so frustrated these past few months, I’ve written my first and only diary entry. This is my last because I’m going home tomorrow. There, I get my makeup, music, clothes and hopefully my piercings back! I’m so excited! I played the whole ‘lesson learned’ card because the moral of this whole post is to explain this: I was sent here to change, and deep down I didn’t want to.

To me, those words are strong because when I go home I will smoke marijuana again. I will listen to Lil’ Wayne religiously, I will see Ashton again (who had mailed me some letters actually while I was here) and I will be the highlight of my own life again. I miss myself and to let people know, not everyone changes. It’s not always about being good to have fun. I am a smart girl who can play stupid. I get great grades, I have my life planed out and I have had it planed out since the seventh grade. I dedicate everything to completing it and I save up money for it (I’m at three grand in the bank right now). High school for me right now is just a bypass until I graduate. All I’m waiting for is to go home, smoke a bowl with my sister, chill in the fields with my friends and cry on their shoulder on how much I’ve missed them, and at last get Ashton to myself at night. I’m sorry I can’t change, but to me, this is my life and I enjoy it. I refuse to give it up and quite frankly, I love it. Goodbye, I’m going to bed early because I’m excited for tomorrow to come.

Hey there DT!

I don't think I've read anything of yours but I'm Angel.

This was entertaining and at the same time truthful. I like how it was written in diary form, it just makes everything easier to read to and I liked it though some people might be shocked or whatever. This was the truth and it was kinda refreshing to read something that was raw emotion.

Other than the whole story itself, you're a great writer. Your pacing was great and the language you used was age appropriate.

I only found one mistake but I might have missed something because I'm not that good at grammar.
Being the Italian he is and the full bread Italian I am, we both had Italian class together.

bread = bred

Thank you! This actually isn't going to turn into story, it's just this one post.
I am writing another novel though (I need to stop writing novels, I have like 4 in the making haha) that is similar to this. Thanks again, though(:

Um... wow. I've never really read anything like this, so I'm not sure how to critique it. The above section has a few of the errors that I found. I know that you meant this to be more of a show of feelings than an actual story, so I didn't bother with the rest of the grammer stuff.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this... though a few events shocked me (I'm a goodie-goodie). But I think you have a talent for writing and if you spent time with grammer and sentence structure, you could come up with a nice story. Best of luck!

I liked this, but I feel like you could expand on it to make it a little better. Like you could talk more about the first time, like how you felt specifically. Yes, you liked it, but were you scared at all? I don't know, I would have liked more description in some parts. It felt like too much of an overview.

I also don't really like the ending. The last sentence takes away from the overall feeling this leaves you with, I would take it away. You want the last and first sentences to make an impact, if you can.

I really liked the idea of this, though. I liked how honest it is. Good job.

Dear Diary,

Today I read a fairly interesting short story.

It's title, "Eff", intrigued me. I assumed it stood for "f*ck" and anything involving that is interesting to me. You understand. The first sentence of the story sent a cold shiver down my spine. It reminded me of those cheap romance novels I would steal from my aunt and read under my bed when I was really young. Even then, I knew this was trashy fiction. They were just so cheesy, Diary!

The next paragraph... Well, it didn't improve on things. It seemed like the narrator really wanted us to know she was a great girl. She smoked marimba and, man, how she longed to have her bowl with her. She was pretty with her hair straightened or curled. And she always dressed in the most expensive clothes. Not to mention the sexiest. Diary, this was my sort of girl. Sadly she was taken.

By Ashton. Who was hers at least every night she desired. Which I don't quite understand. If he was there every night she desired, why does she say at least? Were there nights when she didn't desire him? And what the hell does desire mean? She's probably talking about sex. She's pretty romantic about it. I mean, Diary, when I talk to you about sex I'm just frank about it, right? I mean, I'd feel pretty silly if I wrote about my girlfriend's whispering eye if it was just for me. I don't know anybody who'd actually do that.

So anyways, the story went on and on and on about how beautiful the protagonist was and how beautiful Ashton was and... how Italian they were. For some reason. And how they were both whores but how that was OK because they were on a path and that path was about to get better or... something. I didn't really get it.

Now. I'm all for the sex, Diary. You know that. But I don't really know someone who's proud of being a whore. You understand? I mean, I guess I was sort of a manwhore before I got a girlfriend in that I'd try to bed everything that would even talk to me, but I would never say that and be proud about it. I'd try to hide the truth, you know? Not mention it. Not because I'm embarrassed, you see? But because I think that it's nothing to be embarassed about. That there's no such things as manwhores. So... Someone who says she's a whore and says she's not embrassed by it, kinda is. You see? Because someone who is really comfortable with their decisions wouldn't feel the need to justify it every goddamn paragraph.

So, Diary, I was not finding the characterization of this girl very truthful.

And then came the sex. Man, kids these days! He fingers her and she gives him blows jobs and when she's bored of all that they fuck. Now, this is all well and good. But, Diary, a question is starting to pop up in my head:

What is the point of this story?

Because... it seems like someone wanted to write about sex and just came up with this. And if that's so, then fine. But why would I care? Why would anyone? I fingered my girlfriend tonight. Just before writing this. I know, I know. High five, diary! But why is that interesting to anybody? Just because it has to do with teen sexuality? Well, it's not really interesting. You remember me telling you about that movie, "Y Tu Mamá También", Diary?

Well, there's a lot of sex in that movie. But is it interesting just because of the graphic sex scenes? No. It's interesting because sex is just another aspect of an interesting relationship between two best friends and an older woman. Because sex brings conflict between them. Because the first sex scene is a culmination of a lot of talking and flirting and emotional happenings, that make sex much more than just sex.

This story I read, on the other hand, seemed to be just about the sex. And boring sex at that, Diary. Sex just for shock value is pretty lame.

Anyways, after the fingering and the sexing, her parents find out for some reason. And she's sent to some Catholic School. And then... The term's over and she comes back and she's the same and she gets her piercings back and she hasn't changed. She still loves sex! And rap music! And drugs! And she's happy about it. Which I don't quite understand because she was pretty gloomy at the start of the story.

Oh, well.

I think the point of this short story, Diary, was to show that there's some people who are set on living some way and they like it and they won't change and we shouldn't expect them to change or judge them if they don't. And I dig that message. But... I didn't really have to read the story to know that. And I hate it when a story's sole purpose is to transmit an idea or a belief. Now I will list the reasons I didn't like the story, Diary:

Because the characters are underdeveloped and basically non-existent.
Because the sex is just there because, hey, I warned you there would be sex, and woo! Look it! There's sex in my story!
Because nothing happens. I mean, nothing changes. And I get that's the point of the story, but the characters should have some sort of journey, you know?
Because the parents are mind-readers and know when their daughter's hymen has been breached.

Diary, I think that whoever wrote this story should switch to third person and show the story without the character telling us what she thinks and what she wants us to think. You know? Just show her being a slut and effing Ashton and being sent to Catholic school and returning and being the same. And then, maybe we'd get to care about her and, also, the message the writer wants us to get would be much more powerful because it wouldn't be spoon-fed like it is now.

Anyways, gotta go! Ciao, D-Man!

Love,
Icaruss.

PS: You're the best, Diary!
there are many problems in our times

Way to be. I don't have much to critique on this. I just wanted to tell you that your title really makes me laugh. I like!

The story was definatly interesting. I was brought in by the title, the thing is I have to agree with Icarus. I read his alarmingly funny review.

I think you should switch to third person and really expand on this story. It could be really awesome becuase I totally get what you are trying to say with the whole be who you are thing and don't change for anybody if you don't want to. It's fresh stuff.

It's just that there is no real story to this story.

You could write about what happens at teh school and all the people that try to change her. You could write about what happens after she comes home becuase maybe she didn't change but everyone else did. Maybe Ashton cleaned up and decided what he wants out of life and all of her friends decided that they didn't miss her so much. Maybe her clothes aren't in style anymore and her hair is starting to suck from all the drugs. Her sister could have met someone, some church goer who helped her through rehab and got her a good job. Just because the main character doesn't change does not mean the world doesn't

After she gets home she is going to realize that everything changes all the time and it is unstoppable. Ashton could have decided he didn't wanted to be friends with benefits, he wanted to be in love.

There are so many ways you could take this and I think you have the ability to make this good, really good.

Ok... where to begin.

I understand that this is a bit of a vent for you, which is great as a blog or a real diary entry. HOWEVER this does NOT make it a good story.

A story of more "shocking" nature isn't good because it's shocking. It's good because it's well written.
It feels like you lost the plot with good writing with this story.

For the shock value, you hit the mark. It was shocking. But shockingly bad!

And just to get this off my chest, Ashton did finger me and it felt amazing as well.

Now that sentence threw me for a loop. What was it doing there? It felt out of place and more of a "look what I did!" kind of sentence. It doesn't add anything to the story except that "shock" value you seem so desperate for.

You said that 75% of this story is your own experience. It's not that we haven't all had our share of bad experiences, but then put it in your blog so kindly provided by YWS and don't try to pull it off as a story.

well I mean just because it has shock value doesnt mean its not a good story though, im sorry i have to reply to that. Its one of those things that you look at like "that actually happens." the fingering thing was kinda out of place but i kinda took it as a "go ask alice" kinda thing. wether or not she feels bad for things she has done. and most authors take what they live to paper. its not uncommon. the only reason you said anything is cause she said that 75% of it was related to her life.

this is kinda of ironic b.c Ive been writing my own kinda teen sexuality storey also,
its more of novel thou. lol
i applaud you from writing this,
teens go through this everyday and experience with sex not just for love, but for lust!
you don't read many stories about teen lust, it was part of the reason i began writing my own novel.
the beginning of this made me laugh!
when writing mine (scarlet Tuesday) i felt like i should make a disclaimer too.
i was debating about putting my storey on because i felt like it was too risky
but after reading this i felt in powered.
like yourself i wrote scarlet Tuesday to vent and share my own experience
whenever i put it up you'll have to read it and tell me what you think.
you seem like you deal with the same exact situation as me and your opinion is very important to me
thanks for the awesome story and giving me the confidence!

I think people are missing the point, she wants to share her life experiences, and you can't do that by--as she said-- pleasing everyone. It's like a life Bio. except she's not dead, so how can she expand on things that didn't happen?

Well, I loved the way you had the courage to tell everyone about this situation. We aren't that different. :) (Haters make you famous, as the saying goes)

Thanks. =]
