Nightfall

Okay, this is Nightfall. My emo, depressed, Cat Queen. She, next to Rayne, is one of my most badass characters Lol. She represents my "dark side" and everything evil She's kinda a bitch xD That tattoo under her eye has been there since she was born. Of her two living relatives, she is closest her sister, *Daybreak. Daybreak is one of the three people she loves, next to her mate, Anthro, and her cousin, Demeter. Daybreak, however, is a wolf girl, not a cat girl, and she represents my "good side" and everything pure and good. Demeter is a cat girl, though. Her mother, a cat woman, died of old age and she killed her father, a wolf man Just like Rayne. Lol. Anthro is a wolf too, and she met him in hell, as she visits her best friend, Satan, a lot. Anthro works for him. Yeah, she's twisted. Don't ask where her story came from; I have no idea. She has the ability to turn into any type of feline. She started out as what I would be if I lived in Halloween Town, of The Nightmare Before Christmas, as the Queen of Cats, and eventually turned into my own personal character, who now lives in the World of Warcraft xD Like I said, don't ask. Anyway, the simple act of loading it into MS Paint to color it made it huge, so my sincerest apologies for that. I hope it's not too hard to see Anywho, I hope you guys like it! Please crit!

*Nightfall and Daybreak's names were planned to be opposites, as they are opposites. Just in case you were wondering I like to imagine them as my angel and devil consciences, Nightfall being the devil and Daybreak being the angel. Obviously

**This is a very, very, very old picture, so I know it's a little weird and kinda...bad. Like, the placement of her ears, and those eyes. They're God awful! I have newer, better pictures of her. I lent my sketchbook to my art teacher, so when I get it back, I'll put those more updated ones up for you guys. Thanks! n_n

To tell you the truth I am not a real or a big fan of these typs of pictuers. But I did like the idea of the woman and the cat. But what I did not like about it was the mark on the Emo Queebs face. I just dont think that the mark should be part of it.

I know some of her...features...may be a little much, but that particular one was the birth of Nightfall. It's her most recognizable feature that she absolutely CANNOT go without. So, sorry that you don't like it, but I couldn't possibly get rid of it :/ Thanks anyway

Well, this is very good! And you drew the whole thing on Word? I'm jealous. n_n.......but I do like it very much ^_^. Awesome mark under her (but then again i've always liked it) Her tail is very bushy! Lol, it's so cute. I want to touch it...! Anyway...

Her neck is too big and bulky. It reminds me more of MAYBE, JUST MAYBE a man's neck.

Idk if they're supposed to be that size, but I think her 'ears' are too small.

Last but not least her body seems kind of disproportionate.

Hello great picture!

1. I think Daybreak's (that's the woman's name, right?) face needs some touch-ups.
2. The neck is too wide and fat. It doesn't correspond with her body type.
3. Her tail is too think and bushy too. Maybe point is down more towards the ground. Tails don't just stand up, do they?
4. Is her tattoo supposed to be black? Another color might be better, you may want to try fiddling with that.
5. Her ears. That's all I'm saying. So just fix them.
6. Last, but not least, her nails are scary long. Don't know if you meant it or not. She seems like a cross between an evil witch and the happiest person ever. If she's an "angel," then why is she wearing black?

I think the picture is cool, but you could do a little more detail into the woman. Her belly has like no curves. . . if she had then she would look alot more realistic. I liked how you made her eyes different colors. That added great affect. Keep up the art sweety! You are great at it x x x x x x x

I'd have to say good start, but there's still so much more left to do before this picture is finished. Now you've got to think of highlights, shadows, and all the smaller details and textures. One last thing, never go with true black. In this picture I can't see where the leg ends and the tail begins. If you go with a very dark, almost black, for the pants and add some brown to the tail we will be able to see clearly which is the leg and which is the tail.

But other than that, it's okay. I see potential in this, but it's just not there yet. Keep at it.

No, I didn't draw her on Word. I drew her on paper, took a picture, and colored and edited it in Paint. And yes, I know her ears are so screwed up XD I never noticed her neck...O.o Obviously, everyone else did, though, so I'll remember that for the future. And I think I know what you mean by disproportionate. If I do, I'll fix it for future pictures.

6. Yes, they're supposed to be that long. They're claws.
She is pretty much anything but they happiest person ever.
And she's not an angel. She's exactly the opposite; a devil, or demon, if you will XP

Funny you should mention that XD I actually just started shading all the pictures I make. The tutorial wouldn't open for me, but please note, I only have Paint, not Photoshop, so any tutorials need to be for MS Paint. Lighting would help, though. I've only worked on shading, but haven't worked on lighting. Thanks for the hint about using black, I'll remember that
