Most members at once

So, on the 27th of March 2008 at 8:24 am, the YWS had 370 members online at once. Now, I know that we're rather small a group, but 370? Come on, fellow writers, we have to do better!

So, we need to beat that score, and set a new record for 2009. Coincidently it happens to be March, so perhaps we'd like to beat the record on the 27th, unless a little more orginising is required?

Anyway, just tell me if you like the idea and you'd like to get behind this one and let me know in the somments, or via PM

100, the server would probably collapse with that many members online! o.O We'd be spending 10 minutes to load a page!

*pouts* I might not be able to go! I have a camp thing that day right after school.

What there! We have different timezones in the YWS, too many...

I knwo about the timezone problem, so we'll try to find the best time to suit everybody. I'm aware that it might take a little longer to orginise, but here's an idea. March 27th will be attempt 1. If we can beat it, then yay. Otherwise, we'll replan the event. I know that the site will probably crash/severely slow down, but it'll be worth it.

Anyway, unless you think I'm crazy or stupid (But I didn't say I wasn't... The opposite in fact in the case of stupidity), but it's worth a try anyway. Basically, all you need to do is PM as many people as possible, and be there on the day, unless of course, like music_lover, you can't make it. But before we start PMing people, we need to decide on a date and time. Also, i'm unsure about timezones, so could you just say here what time you're in compared to GMT? That way I can try to fit as many countries as I can into this time that do not coincide with school. Damn, I wish we could do this on a weekend, but they did it last year, so I'm confident that with a little dedication, we can beat the ghosts of our past

I think that 370 might have been when YWS went crazy with bots and such and started miscounting -- so it wasn't even a real number.

This was my idea, just look back in the pages a few months ago. It never worked though...

Okay, so I've asked a few. I'll do some more later, so if anybody who happens to be a group mod visits this page, please do! BTW, could some people please either PM me or post here where abouts they live and their timezone compared to GMT? It would make my job so much easier...
