This one is long. Later on I might break it up.

Demetre dressed slowly even though his head was spinning from all the questions he had. When he was fully dressed he crept to the door and slowly inched it open peeking out to make sure no one was there. It looked like they were changing shifts. That was great because the new people wouldn’t recognize him but he still kept a low profile as he walked down the hall. Then something odd happened. Everyone around him froze when he entered the lobby, all except Sean.
“What did you do to them,” he poked the nearest doctor as Sean impatiently looked at his watch.
“I just froze time but it won’t last for long, so hurry up,” Sean took off at a brisk walk, mumbling under his breath.
“Sean what’s going on and where are we going?” Demetre was still awed by the fact that Sean seemed to have powers too.
“You’re going far away from here because to everyone else you’re dead. My mentor sent me to this town to keep an eye on you. I never thought you would be stupid enough to stay out of your body for so long.”
“Wait, how do you know about my power?”
“It’s my job to know all about you. You’re quiet flippant with you’re powers I saw you use it long ago.” Sean said indifferently.
“So you can see me in my astral form?” Demetre asked
“Anyone with a drop of magic could see you if they tried,” Sean said
“Magic?”
“What you thought you were some kind of superhero or something. Believe you got exposed to gamma rays, bitten by a spider,” Sean laughed. “Your imagination always was out there.”
“Ok so it’s magic I used.” Demetre felt a wave excitement as he thought about the possibilities. With magic he could be a real hero, and better yet he’d never have to feel weak again.
“Yes, and the place where you are going will train you to use your powers. You’ll be in a house with three other kids your age. Two girls, two boys and two mentors to train you to use your magic. In other words you’ll have three new roommates and a new mom and dad. According to my sources two of the house guests are already there the last one after you is being tracked as we speak.
“So this makes me a warlock?”
“There’s no such thing as warlocks! You’re a wizard.”
Demetre’s excitement faded as they got outside and he saw Mandy frozen in place like everyone else with tears stuck to her face.
“What about Mandy and my aunt?” Demetre asked
“Your aunt already knows about you and Mandy thinks your dead so it’s all good. I suggest that you stay away from her. It would be a little hard to explain why you are not dead.”
Demetre gave Mandy one last look, and then continued to follow Sean down the street.
“So are you a wizard too?” Demetre wanted to learn about everything that related to magic.
“Don’t insult me. I’m a Sorcerer.” Sean said proudly.
“What’s the difference?”
“I don’t have time to explain. Ask your mentor when you get there.
They were now in the parking lot far away from any cars. This is far enough. He pulled out small blue smooth rock. “This will take you to your new home. It will dissolve afterwards.”
Demetre took the small rock and examined it. It was warm. The heat increased scolding his fingertips but he didn’t let go. It began to glow a radiant bright blue exploding in his hands; tossing him back and blinding him with an intense light that surrounded him. The burning sensation had started at his hand now seared his entire body. The next thing he knew he was skidding across grass then he bumped his head on a tree.
“Look! Another one just showed up,” a girl called out.
Demetre tried to get up but his whole body ached. His eyes were watering so he could just make out the outline of two people over him.
“Let’s get him inside,” a boy’s voice said. The two figures helped him up and carried him to a house that he could barely make out.
“Where do you think he came from I just saw a bright light and he was there?” The girl said from his left
“I don’t know. I came here in a piece of jewelry. I’m not ruling anything out,” The boy on his right said.

He felt himself being carried into the house and laid down on a couch. A woman bustled in and gave him tea. The moment he put it to his lips, his body lightened up and his eyes cleared up.

He sat up to see the woman for the first time. She was smiling. Standing at the door were two teens. He smiled at them but neither of them returned it. The girl looked too annoyed to care, and the boy seemed too distracted to notice.
The smiling lady looked at him. “It’s lucky I kept some of this stuff in the cupboard. I have no clue how long you would have been out if I hadn’t had some at hand. Demetre Fox meet your housemates Tonya Bishop, and Ethan Tucker. Well two of them the other is being retrieved by your other mentor Mr. Krone I’m Ms. Pantoes.

“So you’re a witch?” Demetre sat up completely and ignored the other teens quizzical looks.

“I was afraid Sean would divulge too much information too soon, but yes it’s true I’m a witch and your witches and wizards respectively.”

“You mean like the broom riding, black cat owning, wand waving kind?” Tonya asked skeptically.

“Heavens no! That kind of magic is nothing but fabricated stories Hollywood makes up to cover up the real deal. No, personally, I don’t like cats. I’d rather drive a car. And wands are for Sorcerers and Sorceresses.

“There’s a difference?” Ethan asked.

“Of course, but I don’t want to have to repeat information so I’ll wait for the last house guest to arrive before I tell you anything you want to know.” She got up and left the room humming cheerily.

“What do you make of her?” Ethan asked when he was sure she was out of ear shot.

“Annoyingly perky, and possibly nuts, but she seems nice enough.”Tonya flopped down in a cushy arm chair picking up a magazine and began flipping though it.

“Yeah, but how else do you explain our powers?” Ethan stayed at the doorway flexing his hand.

“Wait. You guys have powers too?” Demetre couldn’t hold back the excitement as the thought of the possibilities that they could be a superhero team, like the X-Men. Ms. Pantoes could be their Professor Xavier.

“I can talk to animals and copy the abilities of animals I’ve touched. He can heal,” she jutted a finger in Ethan’s direction. “What can you do?” She didn’t sound like she really cared but he answered anyway.

“For small periods of time I can leave my body. In this form I can ghost through objects and even fly. I can be anywhere I want, whenever I want. ” It kind of sounded pathetic compared to their powers even with him exaggerating it.

“I wonder what this other girl can do?” pondered Tonya out loud.

“Don’t know, but I hope she’s nice.” Ethan mused.

Tonya rolled her eyes as she got up from her seat. “I bet she’s a ditz.” She got up tossing her magazine on the table and left the room.

“I’ll show you our room,” Ethan said motioning for Demetre to follow. Demetre could see the distance in Ethan’s face. Whatever he was thinking about had him occupied.

Demetre got up, still a little dazed, but much better than he had been.” Ethan walked fast so Demetre had to jog to catch up with him at the base of the stairs near the kitchen. Their room was the first one, right across from the steps. There were two beds in the room and he was shocked to see all of his bags packed on a bed, a few boxes busting at the seams with his various books and comics to the side of it. Ethan’s half of the room was similar but he had already begun unpacking.

“Yeah it was weird. All of our stuff was here when we got here. I don’t have much, so all my belongings are here. What about you.” What ever had been on his mind before was gone and he was actually a really friendly guy.

“Not all my stuff is here; then again my Aunt was a pack- rat. She wouldn’t let me throw anything away. I still have all my baby teeth in a plastic bag.” Demetre began to unpack things including his vast collection of comic books.

“So you had a family before this? Tonya and I are orphans. Her parents died when she was five and I’ve never knew mine.

“My parents died too but my aunt took me in. No one took you in?” Demetre turned to his second suitcase that had all his cloths. He was amazed to find even hangers were packed.

“I’ve had a few families, actually. None of them worked out once they found out about my ability. They sent me back to the orphanage.

“A power like yours you’d think they see it as a miracle.” Demetre would kill for his ability. His power was actually something he could use to help people.

Ethan looked down at his hands his eyes shut. “Yeah you’d think.”

“I’m here because everyone back home thinks I’m dead.” He hadn’t realized how absolutely soap opera that sounded until he had said it out loud. Ethan raised an eyebrow in confusion. So Demetre quickly explained what happened. Ethan didn’t ask questions but, when Demetre finished he looked even more puzzled.

“So, this Sean person was your friend and you never knew he was a Sorcerer?”

“Not a clue. He was supposedly sent to keep an eye on me. Why do you ask?”

“Well I also was sent here by someone I thought I knew and now I’m guessing she was either a witch or a sorceress. I still don’t know the difference.” Ethan explained his experience and Demetre kept quiet.

“Well, when this other girl gets here all of our questions will be answered.” The two boys turned to see Tonya enter the room. “I hope she’s not blond I hate blonds.
Demetre looked over at Tonya and sighed. She was going to be a difficult one to get along with.

Helleo! Thanks for the PM. Love the story so far! Okay onto the review! :)

Demetre dressed slowly even though his head was spinning from all the questions he had.

Wouldn't he dress slowly if his head was spinning?

“What did you do to them,” he poked the nearest doctor

Comma should be quetion mark, the "h" in he should be capitaled and i liked the poking part! :D

You’re quiet flippant with you’re powers I saw you use it long ago.”

Quiet should be quite, you're should be your.

What you thought you were some kind of superhero or something.

Question mark not period.

Believe you got exposed to gamma rays, bitten by a spider,

Comma should be a question mark, after spider.

Ok so it’s magic I used.”

Comma between ok and so.

“Your aunt already knows about you and Mandy thinks your dead so it’s all good.

Your should be you're.

“Don’t insult me. I’m a Sorcerer.”

Comma not period after sorcerer.

The heat increased scolding his fingertips but he didn’t let go.

Shouldn't it be scalding instead of scolding?

“Where do you think he came from I just saw a bright light and he was there?”

Comma between from and I.

The girl said from his left

Period after left.

Demetre Fox meet your housemates Tonya Bishop, and Ethan Tucker.

Comma after Fox.

Well two of them the other

Comma after well and them.

Mr. Krone I’m Ms. Pantoes.

Period between Krone and I'm.

pondered Tonya out loud.

This sounds kinda weird. Try changing it to 'Tonya pondered out loud.'

“Don’t know, but I hope she’s nice.”

Comma not period.

been.” Ethan

Uhhh. No quotation mark.

but, when Demetre

No comma.

“I hope she’s not blond I hate blonds.

Comma between blond and quotation mark after blonds. Plus shouldn't blonds be blondes?

Anyways good chapter as always! :) Can't wait to see who the next girl is! PM me when you've got the next one out or have any questions. -Storm :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I love this story! Its really good, At first I thought it was one of those boy fights off brainless girl thing. Then with the healing powers and ghost boy. What intrigues me is the girl Tonya, how did she get there? We don't anything about her I'm intrested to see how this character will progress along with this story. I think you picked out really cool powers for these characters these powers fit their attitude and everything in this story falls into place. Though what I don't get is in chapter 4 is it seems like there riding a school bus. How does he stay out of his body any hour when hes going to school? Does he live very far away from the school or something please explain this my poor confused little brain.
