“Are you sure you’re fine for tonight…” My mum had asked this question for what seemed like the thousandth time. She finally left. It was my first night back at home, I had been in the hospital for a week, and there were still faint bruises around my body.

I have to go to the police station tomorrow, to give my statement. I had been given psychological therapy. There was nothing wrong with me, so they said. Hours and hours of questioning, looking at shapes and telling them what I saw, this was all stupid. As if I would tell them what had actually happened to me. I brushed the thoughts aside and put in my earphones, the music helped me sleep and I soon drifted off.

I opened my eyes and I was in the dark room, my wrists were tied behind my back and my legs were tied to the chair I was seated on. The same man was in front of me, with a leering smile spread across his face.
“You know Kelly, I don’t enjoy this type of thing, and all you need to do is tell us everything you know.”
This was different, he had never said this, and I had only assumed that I would be dreaming of those 4 weeks for a while now so this dream did not shock me. I smiled at him and his expression changed.

“Suck my imaginary cock.” I emphasized each word.

“Fine, be that way. This is only going to get harder for you. Bring the tub in.”
His order sent four large men in with a black tub in their hands. They lowered the tub in front of me and then walked out. It was the same tub, the tub with ice cold water in it. I looked at my reflection in the water, but what I saw was not me, it was my family, my friends, and all dead, beaten and tortured. I started screaming, shrill and loud. Warm hands on my shoulders woke me. My eyes flashed open to see my mum shaking me.

“Wake up Kelly! It was just a dream!” Her eyes were moist and tears started overflowing on her cheeks. No, I wouldn’t let my mum know what I saw when I closed my eyes.
“No I’m fine, it was just a bad dream, I was drowning, and that’s all.”
I could tell that she didn’t believe me.
“What’s the time?”
“Its 8 o'clock, you can get up if you like. But we, we don’t have to go to the station till 11.”
“No, its fine, I might as well get up now, get that done with too.”

We drove to the station in silence. My mum didn’t have to be in the room, but she insisted, I insisted that she shouldn’t be. She didn’t have to hear what I had to say. They chose to put a female officer in front of me. Had they done this to make me feel more comfortable? I wasn’t sure. We were in a warm room, I sat on the sofa opposite to her, and she sat on a chair. There was a small wooden coffee table between us, with a tape recorder there. She smiled at me and then looked at her folder.

“Hello Kelly, I’m Officer Brookes, you can call me Jane.” She smiled politely at me, i felt uncomfortable, even though she was just being helpful i felt like i wasn't a witness but a criminal.
“Hi.” I muttered. “I don’t want you to feel pressured, whenever this gets too much for you, just say and we’ll stop.” She cleared her throat and then began. “Do you know where they took you Kelly?” Oh yeah, as if i knew where i was taken. “No.” She noded as if to say we were making progress, i wanted to laugh. “Ok. We know that you were not sexually abused, the hospitals tests clarify that, but we want to know what they did to you. Was it just rooms you were in, or did someone come in now and then?” I really want to get out now, I felt like the room was getting smaller, it was harder to breathe now. “There was one room, one man. But others did come in now and then, yes.” She nodded encouragingly. “What did they do to you Kelly?” Floods of images and memories filled my head. An earsplitting scream was on repeat in my mind, my scream. I need to get out, now. Let me out, i need to get out. “Nothing.” Her look of kindness was swept away with a look of confusion. “What? You were found with extensive injuries, you didn’t do that to yourself, your hands were tied and there were marks on your wrists to prove that, your ankles were tied together too. Its fine Kelly, they can’t hurt you anymore.” How does she know that, is she one of their spies. Oh no. She's one of them. Or am I just being paranoid? “No comment.” She looked puzzled again. “Don’t you want justice? Unless you tell us what happened, we can’t help you.” I don't need your help, i wanted to scream at her. “And you can’t hold me here against my will, I haven’t done anything wrong. I’ve told you all I need to say. Now can I leave?” She then looked angry. “Look, Kelly. They can’t hurt you anymore-“
“You think I care about my well being? They’ll come back. Finish the job. There’s a slight chance that they may not do that, but me telling you who they are, that’s not going to help anyone.”

My mum kept on watching me in the car. It was starting to get on my nerves.
“You know, you should watch the road.”
She went to say something but then bit back the words.

When we were home I just sat in my room and listened to music, tomorrow was the first day back at school. I knew I would get a lot of looks. I had already had a lot of phone calls and texts. A lot of visits to the house and to the hospital. Some by people I didn’t even know, or like. I got bored of listening to music and switched my computer on.

I went on msn, I had 365 emails, and it took me hours to read them all. But the message was pretty much the same through out all of them, “get well soon”, “we’re thinking of you”, “missed you so much” etc. Only one email stood out. It didn’t have the same message as the rest. It was from Oliver, and it was sent a week after I had disappeared. It had said.

Hey Kelly, I’m not sure if you will read this, I’m hoping you will someday… but I just wanted to say, I wish I wasn’t busy.

It wasn’t hard to guess what he meant by that. He blamed himself… that’s why he was crying when he saw me. A wave of guilt washed over me, it wasn’t his fault. It was theirs. If it wasn’t Friday it would have been any other day, he had to know that. And I would tell him. I would tell him everything.

“Kelly! Dinner's ready!” I ran down the stairs and went to sit at the table but my dad scooped my up into a big bear hug. Oh god, it was going to be like this from now on… “Err dad…can't. Breath.”
“Oh sorry” He laughed and then sat down. I shook my head in disbelief and then sat down. I was about to start eating when my mum snapped at me. “No! Not yet! We’re expecting some visitors.” I looked up at her in disbelief. “You what?” She looked at me sternly. “Your sister.” I sighed in relief; I wasn’t in the mood to pretend to be happy.

The doorbell rang and my mum ran to the door. I saw my sister push past her and run towards me, she hugged me and didn’t let go for five minutes. After that she started sobbing. This wasn’t good.
“Hey, hey Joanne, don’t do that, I’m fine, see!” I broke free from her hug and spun in front of her, emphasizing my fineness. She was still crying. She then grabbed be and started hugging me again. This was ridiculous, we usually ate at each other whenever we were in the same room, and I used to purposely piss her off and wise versa. She was only four years older than me, but she moved out when she was 18. “Oh for the love of God, I’m FINE.” I tried to shrug out of her hug but she just clutched on harder. “For goodness sake, get off!” She let me go but held onto my shoulders looking down at me with tears welling over. I sighed and sat back down at my chair.

Hello again!!! I can't wait to edit this!!! I'm so excited!! (Don't worry, I do this to many people when I get asked to edit!! He he) Prepare for an hard critique!!! Bwa ha ha ha!! Just remember what you said!!
All reviews are welcome, be as honest as you like, no criticism will be taken personally!
I'm holding you to it!!

I have to go to the police station tomorrow, give my statement.

Not bad not bad. But you should say I have to give them my statement. Or you could say to give them my statement. Something like that!

I had been given psycho therapy.
Okay, do you mean physical therapy or psychological therapy? I don't know.

I opened my eyes and I was in the dark room, my wrists were tied behind my back and my legs were tied to the chair I was seated on. The same man was in front of me, with a leering smile spread across his face.
Nothing wrong with this part, just a question. Is Kelly, supposed to be like, psychic or something like that? Sorry, back to the edit.

“Fuck you.” I emphasized each word.
I'm glad you rated it R, but 'fuck' is still a pretty strong word. I would say, 'go to hell bitch.' or something that still uses the dirty language you want, but is still appropriate. Remember, if you published this, who would read it. I've been told that many times.

“Its 8, you can get up if you like?
No question there. That's not interrogative, it's more a declarative sentence. So add a period. Oh, and switch it to eight o'clock, it sounds and looks better.

They chose to put a female officer in front of me, to make me feel better?
Same here. You put it as a declarative sentence. You can make it a question like this though.
I was surprised that they had a female officer there. Had they done that to make me feel more comfortable? Just a thought.

“Hello Kelly, I’m Officer Brooke’s, you can call me Jane.

Nice, nice. You shouldn't have an apostrophe after Brooke. Did you mean officer Brookes? Also, you probably need to put a but after the comma. ,but you can call me Jane. Savvy?

“Hello Kelly, I’m Officer Brooke’s, you can call me Jane.”
“Hi.”
“I don’t want you to feel pressured, whenever this gets too much for you, just say and we’ll stop.” She cleared her throat and then began.

Sorry for the HUGE quote, but I told you before and I'll tell you again. When you have a person talk, and you stop them talking to add in features, add a comma and keep on going. Refer to my last edit if you don't understand all the way.

My mum kept on watching me in the car. It was starting to get on my nerves.
“You know, you should watch the road.”
She went to say something but then bit back the words.

You know in those big books, like Harry Potter, LOTR and many more how they add these?

Well, that means that one subject was dropped and another went on. But still in the same chapter 'cause it's still talking about something really similar to the previous subject. So consider that next time.

It was from him, and it was sent a week after I had disappeared. It had said.

Hey Kelly, I’m not sure if you will read this, I’m hoping you will someday… but I just wanted to say, I wish I wasn’t busy.

I know you're talking about Oliver, and other readers might, but you should probably put his name in at least once. Just so we know it's really him.
“Err dad…cant. Breath.”
CARDINAL SIN RIGHT THERE!!! Always. ALWAYS add apostrophes when they are needed. Cant isn't right. That cant isn't even a word. I tried it. It needs to be can't I've told you that before too.

“Oh sorry” He laughed and then sat down. I shook my head in disbelief and then sat down. I was about to start eating when my mum snapped at me.

And more dialogue. Same thing OK?

Hooray!! You made it through another one of my edits!!!
Overall I liked this even more. A bit more edit space than last time, but hey, that's good right? Always room for improvement!! Brilliant job! PM me when you write the next chapter!! I love it!!

Hi Armagan! Oooh I like this part, loving the whole mysteriousness! :D Lucy has pointed out a lot of stuff already that I agree with but I shall add some more :P

There was nothing wrong with me, so they said.

I'd add 'or' before 'so they said' as it kind of flows a bit better :)

Hours and hours of questioning, looking at shapes and telling them what I saw, this was all stupid. As if I would tell them what had actually happened to me.

Here you switch to talking about the questioning being in the present whereas its actually in the past- I'd change 'this was all stupid' to something like 'it had all been so stupid' to fix that. I'd maybe change the comma before that to a dash too.

I opened my eyes and I was in the dark room

'to find I was in a dark room' might work better.

This was different, he had never said this, and I had only assumed that I would be dreaming of those 4 weeks for a while now so this dream did not shock me.

I got a bit confused here- you said it was different because he hadn't said it before and you had assumed it would all be what had actually happened but then you say 'so this dream did not shock me'. Wouldn't it shock or surprise her if she had been expecting something different?

Her eyes were moist and tears started overflowing on her cheeks.

I think on would sound better as onto.

My mum didn’t have to be in the room, but she insisted, I insisted that she shouldn’t be.

I'd have the comma after insisted as a dash, maybe adding a however before 'I insisted'?

There was a small wooden coffee table between us, with a tape recorder there.

instead of there I'd say on it or on top :)

Her look of kindness was swept away with a look of confusion.

She looked puzzled again.

She then looked angry.

In this paragraph you say looked quite a few times and a bit more afterwards too, I'd change some of them- sometimes expression could be used and you could describe how they look that way. Like if they were frowning or their eyes widened in surprise  :D

Hey Kelly, I’m not sure if you will read this, I’m hoping you will someday… but I just wanted to say, I wish I wasn’t busy.

I wish I wasn't busy kind of makes it sound like he wishes he wasn't busy at that moment so I'd maybe say 'I wish I hadn't been busy'.

“Oh sorry” He laughed and then sat down. I shook my head in disbelief and then sat down.

I'd change one of the 'sat down' to another action so you're not repeating it.

I saw my sister push past her and run towards me, she hugged me and didn’t let go for five minutes.

I think the comma needs to be a full stop as they are two different sentences or joined in some way' like by saying 'then hugging me' instead of 'she hugged me'.

She then grabbed be and started hugging me again.

be needs to be me :P

I used to purposely piss her off and wise versa.

I think wise versa needs to be vice-versa.

She let me go but held onto my shoulders looking down at me with tears welling over. I sighed and sat back down at my chair.

I think you need a comma after shoulders.

Overall: Loving it so far! :D Its all making me very curious- although luckily I have some answers as I already know a bit more! MWAHAHA! :P

I'd add in more description on the characters expressions and feelings- like instead of saying how they looked shocked or angry describing it as I mentioned before. I'd maybe add more about how they sound when they speak too. A little description on how the police officer looks might be good as well and I'd maybe extend the whole interview and getting there as it goes by quite quickly :)

Looking forward to the next part and Hope I've helped!- Ignore me if you like :P
