Max~~

Max shook Cody, "Did you see something?"

"Death, cody, death." she whispered and collapsed.

"CODY!!!!"

********

Max sat perfectly still in his chair while the nurse looked at Cody. "What were ya'll doing!" she exclaimed.

"Nothing..." he sighed, the voices were starting again but different voices this time. He hated the doctor, too many voices.

Cody's eyes fluttered open and she bolted upward.

Character Application

Name: Reid Jamis Lorough

Age: 15

Date of Birth: 2/12/93

Gender: Male

Appearance: http://beautiful-shinigami.deviantart.com/art/smiling-boy-86159196

Personality: He is shy at times, but can be animated when you happen to strike up a conversation.

Powers: Reid is a gifted Necromancer. He feels every death that happens, like a light being turned off. He hears them whisper to her at night before she goes to sleep and knows many secrets because of this. Reid hears them during the day, as well, but when someone dies nearby he hears a scream. He feels life energy drain away and grasps just as much suffering as the person who happens to be passing. His professors say this is because his ability is strong, but he fears the day it overpowers him.

Other: Up for love.

*You know that everyone in this academy knows about the necromancers and mediums? Right? And no worries about not knowing much about the supernatural. I don't either! ;)*

Alyse~ Nurse's Office

Alyse looked quizically at Cody. She wanted to know what she'd seen. Maybe the reason the nurse was so suspicious was because Max had shaken her while she was gone.

As they began walking back, Alyse decided to start talking. "So what did you see? What was that whole 'Death, Cody. Death' thing about?"

Cody shrugged, "I'm not sure," She said finally, after mulling it over, "she was strange looking, though."

A woman ... "What did she look like?"

Cody tried to describe her, but to no avail. Could this woman change forms? Alter memories? Had she done something to Cody in the other world?

Marcus - Medium - Hallway

There was a doll on the floor. He frowned down at it, bending over to give it a closer look. A slight tear ran across one leg, and the doll's stuffing was falling out. He picked some of the stuffing up and pocketed it, then picked up the doll.

Who carries around a doll in this school? he thought to himself, searching his name for a face or a name. He couldn't think of anything though, only a passing remark from some other nameless, faceless person that it was a bit odd.

He looked at his cat, who was sniffing at one of the smal piles of cotton that had come from the doll, "What d'you think, Tiger?" he asked her. The cat miaowed in answer, then trotted a little way down the hall. He followed, tapping someone on the shoulder, "'Scuse me," he said, "Know who this belongs to?"

"Oh, sure." said the other student, "That's Bettina's, she'll want it back. I think she went that way." The kid pointed off in one direction, and Marcus started off that way. There was a slight itch that was prickling him about the doll, although he didn't know what. Maybe it's possessed? he thought for a moment, then shook it away, No. What person in their right mind would keep a possessed doll?

*To add to the rules = <Posts must be more than one sentence long, being at least one paragraph long.>*

*And also La Reina, If you got my PM then you know what to do, I'll put in a post to show you how he acts like.*

Name: Zire Marcus Azrael

Age: Fifteen

Date of Birth: 20/08/93

Gender: Male

Appearance: Black hair, dark green eyes. Always in the school uniform or wears black clothes.
http://media.photobucket.com/image/scho ... -1.png?o=2

Personality: Dark quiet and shy around everyone except those who he has befriended. Emotionless at most times.

Powers: He is a Medium. He unlike most others has the rare ability to control his powers which means he can communicate with the dead at will. Although he does have many visions at night which makes him restless and dark at the day he rarely has visions in the day.

His eyes turned black, and his body became lifeless, as if the only force keeping him upright was the air itself. The fingers of his hand extended outwards, his head fell back looking up into the sky. He then finds himself in a large desert like terrain, the only object in his sight being the door that led him in.

Other: Up for love. He does not like many things, does not play sports and spends most of his time meditating(entering the world of the dead at will and finding out things).
{Quirks} Scared of dark places with a little light giving out the surroundings slightly.
{Habits} Bites the 'flesh' around his nails (Disgusting maybe but i know some people here that do this) Sighs a lot.

Zire~ In room 224

Silence.

I was alone. Sitting in a meditating position on top of the bed that I slept on, or tried to sleep on. The others had gone to the assembly. I had not, I knew what had happened. They were giving us holidays. More like excuses to shut down the school for a while and keep us away.

Mary Rosen, dead, on the roof of the main building, Friday at exactly five seconds past the twelfth bell rung to indicate the time twelve midnight.

I had got the news a few hours late. She was killed as i had got to know. Those who had gone to the other side after hear death knew that now. Or so i thought.

I closed my eyes. My body became limp, I had entered into the other side.

For each and every Medium the side of the dead was different, some viewed it as a never ending sea, or a long river etc. But one thing was for sure, they were all never ending. Once a Medium enters the realm of the dead he or she will not be greeted or met by the dead unless he calls upon them with their names. It is not dangerous that way. On the other hand there are many ways to call upon spirits and demons not known to us and communicate with them, the trick being to entertain them enough to let them let the Medium live.

Once on the red sand desert that surrounded me i sat down and started to draw on the sand. Disturbing the natural lines in it. I was calling a demon, an Asura, a Bushyasta, what every one may call it.

It took only a few minutes, the sand dissolved in front of me and a mirror image f me appeared on the sand. It moved as I did not. it spoke when I did not. It was not me.

"Death" It said, i heard its voice as if it was being whispered into my ears "More... She gives and he takes... She will be awakened."

The image then faded slowly. At first i was puzzled due to several reasons.

One being, the demon i had encountered was just a level one demon, a very weak one, which explained the incorrect speech and why it voluntarily gave information and why it left without asking for payment. As i usually encountered at least Level two demons it was very strange.

Two being the fact that this demon was talking about someone else other than 'he' himself, Death. It had said she will give and he will take meaning this 'she' is collecting souls to give Death in exchange for something.

As I retreated onto my side I heard a knock on the door.

**Um, Zire. Necromancers are meant to see the future, not communicate with the dead. Mediums go over to the other side to talk.**

*sorry for the delay*

Cody - Outside Nurses office?

"I...I don't know." I said, stammering.

"I've only been a medium for a little awhile, I--I'm sorry if I'm no use." I added, as the tears creeped down my face.

I hated feeling so useless sometimes. I wanted to be of importance for once. Help! by the Beatles played through my mind.

Help! I need somebody. Help!
Not just anybody. Help! I need someone. Help!

Alyse didn't look at me at all really to even say "Its ok."

I wiped my tears when I heard a scream.

*I'm not sure really who to have scream, but we're going to meet up with you (well, Alyse is) okay Billy?*

Alyse - Medium - Hallway outside nurse's office, Hallway with Marcus

Alyse's head popped up. She ignored the crying Cody, and ran from the door. The scream was haunting her. It didn't sound right.

Alyse hurried down the hallway, running as fast as her legs would go. Then she crashed. Her head pounded. "Sorry, sorry," Alyse said, not really apologizing, but more just saying it. She jumped up again.

"Did you hear someone scream?" Alyse asked.

The guy looked perplexed.

Marcus

He gave the girl a perplexed look, "No, I didn't hear any scream." What's her name again? Have I seen her before? "Why? Did you?"

She nodded, "How could you have not heard it? It was so loud!"

Marcus looked to his cat, "Did you hear it?" Tiger sat down and scratched her ear a little. Marcus frowned, "I see." That much told him that the cat hadn't heard it, which meant that the scream was almost certainly coming from the other side.

He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again the hall appeared a lot more crowded. A long, haunting screech cracked through all he knew, and for once he could distinguish between ghosts and humans.

The humans weren't on their knees, clutching their heads. They couldn't hear the scream, except for a few mediums, although he could not recognise them among the ghosts. Spirits muttered silent prayers for the wailing to stop, tears streaming down their cheeks. This was how they appeared to Marcus - barely different to the way they had been in life. He blinked again, slumping back against the lockers and taking a deep breath, his eyes wide.

"Did you hear it?" she said. He nodded, prompting her to question him again, "Did you see where it was coming from?"

He shook his head this time, mustering the energy to speak, "It was too loud, even the ghosts were being hurt by it. I don't want to go back for a closer look at whatever is screaming that loudly. I don't think it was Mary Rosen, though."

Here's the link for the discussion thread: http://www.youngwriterssociety.com/post521352.html#521352. Any questions, comments, discussion, conversation should be brought here. If you are confused of the plot thus far, I have posted a small thing that everyone should know about.

Alyse~

Alyse looked to his cat. She was a very nice cat. She let the cat sniff her hand, and looked back up at the guy. "I don't think it was Mary Rosen, though." He said, slumped against the lockers. He was truly troubled.

Alyse was about to ask another question when she was pulled away from where she was. She felt like she was being tugged into the darkness, not just falling into it. She was about to scream, but that was before she landed.

The room was completely white ... there was the wooden door ... but there were hundreds of spirits crowded around. They were all in a flurry. "What happened?" Alyse asked a man with a missing ear. He looked to her, his eyes wide. "Are you-you human?"

Alyse gave a nod.

He grabbed her shoulders. "You have to go! You can't stay! There's even danger for us here! Something has woken us all up ... it was that scream!"

There is was again. Alyse stuck her fingers in her ears. The spirits quivered at the blood-curdling noise, some in actual pain when they heard it. The door swung open. Alyse peered in. There were spirits lying in mid-air, just hovering there, but some were drifting out of the door. Alyse felt the man clutch her shoulders again. "Go back!" He hissed.

With a nod Alyse drifted back into the darkness. Alyse stumbled forward onto her knees, and felt the bile rise. The scream-- it was so loud. She was so off-balance. Her head was spinning. If this is what it did to humans in the spirit world, no wonder it was enough to wake the spirits who had been dead for years.

"Something's wrong," Alyse said, looking up at the guy and wiping her sleeve. He gravely nodded his head. "I'm Alyse, by the way," Alyse added, getting up and shoving her hat back on.

"Marcus," He said simply. The pair ran through the hall, skidding around the corner. Why were they running? They weren't quite sure. The headmaster probably wasn't about to go anywhere, but they sooner they got to him, the sooner something could be done.

Alyse skidded around the corner and smacked headlong into someone. "Oof, sorry," Alyse mumbled, picking her hat up and shoving it on her head. How many times had she bumped into someone already? The boy before her had light blue eyes, an open expression, and brown hair. "Sorry, sorry," He mumbled, getting up. Alyse offered him her hand.

As she tugged him up, he looked around himself, and to his surprise, another guy was standing there ... laughing. "You two okay? That was pretty hilarious!"

Hope I got Marcus, Reid, and Danny (?, right, Danny?) right. There's something for you two to use as help.

Marcus - Medium - In the hallway with Alyse, Danny and Reid

A smile crept across his face as he looked down at Alyse and one of the two new people. Well, at least I'll be a little safer with all these people around me. Although I'm not telling these two idiots about the scream. They can work things out for themselves. Besides, that laughing one...I don't trust him.

He took a step away from them and bent down, picking up Tiger and setting her on his shoulders. She purred a little and sat down across them.

He smiled at the new people, “Hi. I’m Marcus. Do either of you know where I could find the person who owns this doll?” he held up Bettina’s doll questioningly, “I found it in the corridor, and Alyse and I were just about to go looking for her.”

He cursed his words the second they were out of his mouth – he hadn’t even mentioned the doll to Alyse. This could be a problem. Well. He thought, Compulsive lying is supposed to be a problem anyway…
