slumdog millionaire was a really good film. but it was a drop in quality from last years films (into the wild, no country for old men, there will be blood)

I was shocked Mickey Rourke lost out on best actor against Sean Penn for Milk. Then I saw Milk last night. Both Mickey Rourke and Sean Penn give career bests in The Wrestler/Milk.
Fantastic, wonderful, heartbreaking films.

lotta depressing movies this year.
Milk, In Bruges, The Wrestler, Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon (not exactly uplifting), Gran Torino (despite being the most awesome display of badassness this decade. thanks you clint eastwood)

Its a travesty Eastwood wasn't nominated for best score, song, or actor from Gran Torino. He easliy deserved it over Jai Ho from slumdog or Brad Pitt in Benjamin Button.

In the past I would definitely say who you would find inside. Not so much today. Place is bonkers …. As is everywhere
