2012

It’s the year 2012; everything you’ve heard in the past is coming true. Tsunamis, wildfires, tornadoes, blizzards, and plague are endlessly destroying the world. Raids are taking place. People are going crazy due to a vaccine serum that became mandatory and was contaminated. The government is crumbling until there’s nothing left in the United States and everywhere else. Cars have long since stopped working. Global Warming is upon us and the whole east coast is entirely gone, flooded with water.

Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and all of the other continents don’t exist. They’ve fallen apart due to no government which released chaos into the world. Everything is addressed as The Baron Land. East Baron Land, West Baron Land, North Baron Land, and South Baron Land.

Every city you’ve walked through so far has been deserted and show obvious signs of a raid having taken place. Parents and people ages 20 and up are disappearing. Just vanishing, leaving kids and teens on their own. Fights continue to break out as bullies try to take control and little kids are becoming slaves to the cruel and twisted teens who have had the contaminated vaccine.

A place once known as Mexico (now part of the South Baron Land) is still fine; a giant dome is being built around it. Groups of children and teens are gathering from all over, crossing the border. They’re trying to reach Mexico before the dome closes for good and Mother Nature reaches her worst.

You’re one of the few teens left in the world that went into hiding while the governments in every country started giving vaccines. You’re in a group of 10 teenagers including yourself. (You may or may not start in the group in the very beginning, but at some time you must join.)

*IMPORTANT* I really want the characters to have differences toward each other. I mean you can pick a character you want to be friends with, but there has to be at least one person you don’t get along with. I think it adds more drama.
Bully- Needs to have control and is seen as the bad guy
Traveler- They’re the good guys who hate the bullies and often get in fights with them because they can’t stand the thought of taking slaves, but at the same time many of them want no trouble with the bullies and just want to make it safely to Mexico.
Slave- taken captive. A victim, I guess. They’re under the bullies’ control/influence.

I’ll start it first once everyone has joined. If we don’t have enough slaves I might make exceptions for anyone who wants to join later on. I plan on finishing the storybook so I need dedicated people.

Name: Risa Hanley
Country: England
Age: 15
Appearance: Very light complexion and dark brown hair. She cuts it short due to the fact that there was "hardly anyone to impress anymore"she doesn't raid but picks up miscellaneous items everywhere. She likes to match despite there hardly being anyone. She has bright blue eyes that people remember, very, easily.
Gender: Female
History: Parents died in the flood of England, luckily she was in the states when it all occured, staying with her aunt. When her aunt went mad and committed suicide during the vaccine outbreak, Risa decided to go out on her own.
Personality: Hates all things evil and tries to show it. She sometimes even gets into the bully's operations to shut them down. She is a clean shot and is never easily caught. Know's atleast four martial arts and can parkour. She smiles ...alot.

Other: She likes all things sweet and will kill at this point in time to get some fresh chocolate.

Name: Andrew Foster
Country: USA!!
Age: 20
Appearance: He is 6'2", shaggy brown hair, and a kind smile that never leaves his face. He is muscular, but not to big, more Lithe and agile then anything. He has green eyes, and unusually red cheeks, so most people think he is sunburned or something.
Gender: Male
History: Andrew was the star of his track team when things started to discintegrate. He also was big into gymnastics, and running. When things began to fall apart he was in Ohio in a gymnastics competition and quickly rushed back home, only to find his house deserted and his youngest sister lying dead on the floor. The oldest of five, no matter where he goes he is always keeping his eyes open for one of his siblings, vainly hoping to find them. Right now he is moving, like many, towards Mexico, hoping to get there before the domed is closed. Right now his mainf focus is just survival, and seeing if he can come across any of his brothers or sisters.
Personality: He is kind and gentle, but the harshness of living on his own and having to fight for survival has slowly hardened his heart. He has learned how to fight with his hands, and even uses a staff and large knife that he found. His natural athleticisim has helped him to almost thrive in this enviorment, and if he wanted to he could easily become a Bully. But he is truly kind, and is constantly struggling between what is going to far, and what is merely surviving in this new world.

Other: Good Runner/Jumper, Gymnastics, and has learned ho to fight and take care of himself. He also used to go camping quite a bit so he is good and makin fires and make shift camps, as well as scouting out for food.

Appearance: Beautiful long jet black hair, tannish brown skin, amber eyes. Tall and underweight. Is usually wearing a bracelet with little black beads.

Gender: Female

History: Did not get the vaccine at first because she lived in the poor areas of Brazil. She is an orphan but ran away from the orphanage and lives on her own. Her parents abandoned her when she was six years old so she still has memories of them. She was head of a gang before the huge hurricane destroyed most of what she knew. She survived because she went into the sewer, under the water drainage thing (errr. I forget the word) and escaped into the intense rainforests of South America (I know I know....it sounds so unrealistic.)

Personality: Carla is extremely manipulative. She was the leader of her gang before and she wants to keep that kind of position at all costs. Its the only life she's ever had. Carla can lie very well and is secretive. She has a temper. On the inside, Carla is extremely insecure and sometimes falls to drugs as a security blanket. She bullies other people to make herself feel important.

Other: See personality. She is also very artistic as she made her bracelet. Though, most of the time her artistic skills are used to do non artistic things such as picking locks or graffiti. Up for love? If anyone dares lol

Appearance: Has very short shoulder length jet black hair and grass green eyes. People find her eyes eerie, not wise like her mother's had been.
Gender: female
History: She was never popular at her high school in Minnesota, but tried to make the best out of a very unlucky situation. Her parents had just gotten a divorce two years before this whole thing hit. Her dad had gotten the vaccine and ran off a few days later, never heard from again. Her mom was okay until one day 'poof' she disappeared right in front of Tessa.
Personality: Is sometimes very agile. Other than that she's always willing to help others as long as they don't try to help her. She gets tired very quickly and most people find her fragile and always want to help her. That's what bugs her because she needs to show them she can survive without help.

Other: Is a good judge of character. She can take one look at you and 'by judging the book by its cover' she's almost always dead on with her assumptions of your personality.

History: Was at one point exposed to the vaccine and although he wasn't mentally morphed he's forgotten everything that ever happened to him before this.

Appearance: long brown hair down to his shoulders, he has bright blue eyes that usually have bags under them and his hair usually a mess. He is tall and muscular looking.

History: His Dad had a masters in engineering and his mother worked for the governments army has a scientist. And so he moved around a lot, he never stayed in one place for more then a month and a half. He never really made that many friends in the time he was there, because he was very quiet and considered a nerd for reading often and playing around with scraps. He learned a lot about technology from his parents and can make anything with the right things. Also learned to fight from school because he was constantly in them because he used to have a short fuse when people mocked him in school, still does but it is a bit longer.
Personality: He is quiet, he likes to be alone a lot. though when he does come out he is funny, though he does not think so. Also when he gets mad or made fun of he will snap at you.

Gender: Female

History: Peyton grew up in a mansion. She has very wealthy parents who wish she was a girly-girl. She desires the opposite. At age 12, she grew defiant, and to show it, she shaved her head. It has now grown back, but she keeps it short and sleek. Her parents found out about the vaccine early, and selfishly wanting to save themselves, got it as soon as they could. Peyton refused to get one and ran away. She doesn't know what happened to her parents, but she has guesses. She'd been living on the streets on her own when everything began to crumble. She's now trying to reach Mexico before time runs out.

Personality: As stated in her history, Peyton is very non-girly. She wants to be a normal girl. She is very stubborn, headstrong, and wants her way. She is willing to fight to get her way, but is morally good. She is good in heart but protects herself.

Personality: She's really tough and truly brilliant. She's bold and daring and very defiant. She doesn't pay attention to rules and usually you can't get her to do anything she doesn't want to do. Which means that she has willed her body to become immune. Honestly, her will is that strong to be independent and true to herself. She has been on her own for quite a while and has grown a bit wild but not that much, she's overall a nice person and she's quite compassionate and amiable if she likes you, or you get to know her.

Country: Australia
Appearance: Tal for his age at almost six foot. He's wiry and thin from his slavery, and bears shackle scars on his wrists and a few scars on his face, arms, and back from repeated beatings. He has thick, curly brown hair and brown eyes.
Gender: Male
History: He was one of the more withdrawn kids at his school, and his parents often worried that he was becoming antisocial and might develop a drug problem or something. The truth was, Tyler was just quiet by nature. That was why when everything went bottom-up, he was one of the first targets for the bullies, they perceived him to be weak. Tyler turned out to be impossible to control, and was beaten and starved for his efforts until one bully finally let him go out of a strange sense of pity. Tyler has since spent his time trying to find out if anyone over twenty still lives, or saving younger kids from bullies.
Personality: Incredibly withdrawn, he speaks as little as possible. He refuses to let anyone - bully or not - tell him what to do, and adheres to his own moral code.

Other: Up for love, very proficient in kendo and feels he can get by well enough on his own. His brother and sister have been kidnapped by the bullies.

Name: Steven McCarthy
Country: Ireland
Age: 19
Appearance: Him. He stands at around about 6'4".
Gender: Male
History: His father was in the IRA, and brought Steven up to respect three things above all: his country, his family, and any organisation he decided to join. The importance of loyalty was something that was repeatedly impressed on him. His family was killed when storms essentially tore Ireland apart, but Steven was in Brazil on an exchange at the time.
Personality: He's jovial to the point of obnoxiousness, sarcastic and generally a pretty fun guy. But when it comes down to serious business, he sets most of that aside, and can get very focused.
Side: Bully
Starting: On his own.
Other: He's a good shot, having been taught by his father since he was five. But he prefers his shillelagh (Irish club, looks something like this. He drinks a lot and smokes a little. Up for love.

Man I wanted to join....

You can join as long as you make a slave and/or a bully . I'm gonna start this soon, but as of now more slaves are desperately needed. I need slaves because in my head I have it all planned out. Within the group(if you start in the group) the slaves rebel against the bullies, hurting some of the travelers in the process. Keep this in mind. I may post again soon with a changed role for the slaves, but either way they become very vital to this storybook!!!! *takes deep breathes*

The clouds were black as usual and the air held a muggy quality. Tessa gasped for air as it became almost unbearable. Andrew Foster rested his hand on her shoulder.
"You okay?" She shook off his hand. She was traveling with Spike and Andrew, not the worst or best company. All of their faces were covered in the black soot from the ashy air. It was all caused from the last raid that passed through this town and lit everything on fire. As of now she wasn't sure where exactly they were.
"Let's just keep walking, okay?" Instead of waiting for an answer she carried on. Spike only shook his head with annoyance, but didn't speak.
