"We have a ham and cheese sandwich plus a soda with that, Mr,"I could hear the stewardess say to the man sitting behind me. I hated planes. The bathroom was filthy, the food was grose, I always got the aisle seat, and the stewardesses always annoyed me with their perkiness.
"Thank you,"The man said as he was handed a soda. I didn't blame him for not choosing the sandwhich.
"Anybody else?"The stewardess asked as she continued down the aisle to fast for me to move my elbow. The cart she was wheeling hit my funny bone dead on and it was anything but funny.
"Ow!"I screamed rubbing my elbow.
"Well I'm sorry, Honey, best be more careful next time,"And there was that smile. That fake corny smile that spoke for itself. I hate my job.
*this is all I have, I figure everyone's gonna be introduced on the plane first, right?*
If I can impact one person, just one, with my writing before I die, then I've lived a great life
I sat back down in my seat after a quick run to the bathroom. There was something about airplanes that I loved. The girl across the aisle from me looked anything but happy. She was rubbing her elbow violently.
I was excited to see my parents again finally. I hadn't seen them in four months and for me, that was too long. The sounds on the plane comforted me, the whispers, and clicking of glass from those eating. I sat back and relaxed. Just a little longer until I could see my family.
