Well, of course, the opportunity to make friends. Particularly friends who actually care about writing, which is hard to find on other sites.
Tips for writing is a big one, too; I need all the help I can get. ;] Plus everyone else's writing can serve as great inspiration.

YWS has helped me in many ways. Mostly with my writing. When I joined, I couldn't write at all! Also, I gained a bunch of spectacular friends!
