When I first heard my lover speak,
his voice was just a low whisper in the sound of the rushing wind.
Barely audible but distinguished nonetheless.

His hair was like wool and his feet like brass.
The glow of his countenance was like the rays of the sun
shinning brightly for all to see.

He had a beard like Moses and the mind of a Pharaoh.
His eyes were like an eagle piercing into the center of my heart and soul.

His fragrance was like the smell of lavender with the sweetness of a Daisy.
Boy was he beautiful and so all mine.

I remembered how he laughed and how he smiled.
How he played with the little children with gladness in his heart.
He even rebuked the winds when I was so afraid.
He quiet the storm in the tremble of my soul.

These are the thoughts and memories that I have of my love
and his image and words are forever embedded in my heart.

Death took him away from me at the stroke of an hour.
A man of many talents and undeniable power.

They beat him and mocked him by piercing his flesh,
the same flesh that healed and gave so many hope.

I long for my lover no matter how far away.
This is his story and it means so much to me.
I developed an intimacy that no love could define and that no one could take away.
He was my soul mate in all divine. I will forever cherish him always and for all eternity.
This is my poem to him.

Sincerely,
Peter.

this whole poem was beautiful. the only thing wrong with it was one spelling mistake. you spelled Moses like Mosses :S
so anyways, I really liked it.....I just have one question, was this about Jesus?? It tells His story right down to the dying part....i don't know, kinda sounded like it.
great job, by the way (yea I know this wasn't really a review. I'm sorry)

Alone- alone- all- all- alone
Upon the wide, wide sea-
And God will not take pity on
My soul in agony!
- Mary Shelley

When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind.
— Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind
