Alyse had fun talking with Maria. In the end, she ditched her homework, and began talking about costumes. Then the topic turned. "So how's it going with you and Chad?" Alyse asked.
"Pretty good." She said.
Silence.
"I hope I meet some cute guys tomorrow night!" Alyse chuckled.
Maria rolled her eyes. "Is that really the Alyse we all know?"
"Yes."
But it actually wasn't. Because, you see, Alyse had a majour case of writer's block, which caused her to speak badly.

I stared blankly at the ceiling. I wanted to believe Adam, I truly did. But if Nick liked me back, he sure had a weird way of showing it. My mind started going in circles. If what Adam said was true, that would mean that he's only doing this so that I won't get in trouble because of him. Which was pretty admirable, I had to admit. But, if I tried to make it seem like I was in fact over him, maybe he'll start showing he actually cares.
Maybe. That would be sneaky though. I'll have to make it seem like I'm head over heels in love with someone. But who?
That Kevin guy wasn't with anyone...
I started to plan my way to get Nick back. I needed him. (as a feminist, I can't belive I just typed that.)
Soon, I drifted off to sleep holding my phone that still didn't ring back with Nick's voice.

I came back from my swim and thought about the upcoming day. Halloween. I didn't like the Holiday much mainly becuase most of the time I was home alone while my parents went to some Halloween party. Of course they didn't want to get their precious house egged so they made me serve the trick or treaters. Kids I knew from school, kids my age, and younger and I had to give them candy. So when I went to the costume store I was completely lost on what to get. I had never dressed up for Halloween.

After my morning regiment of meditation and such I got up to leave. Slinging my messenger bag on I opened the door and came face to face with some girl.
"Hello," I said trying to sound friendly.
"Hi Kevin right," She asked.
"Yes and you are..."
"Leighton, but you can call me Lei."
"Okay Lei, did you want something."
"Yes, I was wondering if you wanted to go out."
Uh-oh. Why was she asking me? I was now in a nasty predicament. On the one hand I really liked that Kori girl, and was trying to build up the courage to ask her out. But my dad did teach me never to stand up a woman. What should I do, was the only thing in my head. Eventually the silence was becoming awkward.
"Sure," I said, and immediately hated my self for saying it. I could only hope she hated the date, or Kori would understand this.

When I woke up I showered and went around to Mays room from the window. She wasnt there so I went to the kitchen and saw her standing with her back to me. Shannon saw me in the window but I motioned for her to be quiet. I slipped silently through the open window and crept up to May.
When I was standing right behind her I grabbed her around the stomach and yelled, "Boo!"
She screamed and tore out of my grip. Then she looked at me with her fists raised. The look on her face made me fall over laughing. She pcked up her plate of pankaces and dropped it on my face. "Not funny."
I couldnt stop laughing, "I'm sorry hun, but it is haloween."
"Just watch out. I'm going to get you."

"BOO!" A voice yelled and grabbed me. I twisted out and put my fists up, to find Matt on the ground laughing. I promptly dumped my batty creations on them.
"Not funny" I breathed.
, "I'm sorry hun, but it is haloween." He laughed and I smirked.
"Just watch out. I'm going to get you." I smiled, showing my pearly whites.
"Nu-uh" Matt laughed and Shannon joined him
"I will get you back darling," I smiled wider, "Just you wait hun"

Since hallow's eve was so big at this school complete with "scare shifts" we got to miss school just to prepare..

I woke up in my bed and smelled the delicious perfume of...
"Pancakes!" I screamed and got up and ran tot he kitchen.
I sat down with Matt, May and Shannon. Only after I ate I noticed I was still in my pajamas, that was a black tank top and white shorts. I apologized and went to take a quick shower and got dressed.
I wondered around campus without knowing what to do. it was still to early to get prepared for the party in the evening.
I sat at the shadow of a tree, thinking.My relationship with Chad was very... casual. I wanted it to be more intense. We were rarely together. It was simple. Right.
I feel asleep, with the soft summer breeze mixing my hair.

I walked back to campus after my two hour shift we were shutting early today because it was Halloween . I was gonna dress up as sweeny Todd I just needed to friz my hair up and put a white streak through it and of cource his clothes.
After picking up my outfit I headed home. Everyone was already dressed up except for the older kids like me. Lots of people seamed happy today.
Shannon was in her room making a few tweaks to something.
"hey beutifle" I said she quickly hid something away.
"Hey Adam, you know I could of been well not decent"
"yeah but I would of come in anyway and you weren't so no hassle anyway what are you hiding" she smiled an innocent smile "it's a surprise" she said smiling.
"please" I squealed weirdly
"nope but you'll get to see later" I gave her a kiss and sat on the bed next to her
"fine , anyway anything happening with you at the moment like any drama"
"not really it's only really Lei and Nick" I nodded and pulled her over to me.
"yeah well I really want you" I said.
"do you have a goalie" Shannon asked.
"don't worry about it that's just parinoia that the tv writers put in so they don't feel like freaks"
"I guess" she nodded. She was my lovely red head beuaty.

Kori
Tonight she was set to be scaring people ... and be the victim of the scares. You see, Kori was never good with clowns, heights, dark, depths ... you name it. Tonight was going to be like a living Hell on earth. She contemplated going.
She had stopped by the barn in the morning quickly to check on her horse. Seeing that he was all right, she grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder, heading to practise. (Alyse made gymnastics team).
The air was getting cold already, being the end of October. Reluctantly, she'd put on a sweatshirt that morning, and wrapped a scarf around her neck, wearing her hat and her hair up in a messy bun.
As she hiked towards cthe gym, she noticed Kevin. She started towards him. "Hey Kevin," She gave him a half-smile, just walking silently alongside him. She wondered if he was secretly meditatin inside his head. "Hey," He answered quietly.
She looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not gonna pry," Kori said, since she wasn't that type of person who cared much for drama, "but something's wrong, am I right?"
"No, no ...," Kevin trailed off, forcing a smile onto his face. Kori kept her eyebrow raised.
"Mhm." She said, tugging her cap tighter on her head and looking up at the rising sun, that was shielded by the clouds. Something about today was much too eerie for her liking. She didn't know what.
"Wait a second!" Kori stopped, having a sudden epiphany. "You're afraid for tonight, aren't you?"
"Not at all," Kevin said. He let out a sigh.
"Whatever," Kori sighed with him, and they continued towards the school.

Alyse looked at the sky through the window. Everyone was having pancakes, but Alyse was busy staring at the looming sky. Thunder. She hated it so much. She hope it wouldn't start tonight in the dark school, while people were trying to scare them ...
Alyse shivered just thinking about it. Maybe she should go join them ... But she also found her mind wandering to her hair. May had inspired her. She coloured her hair ... and Alyse had always wanted to be dark brunette, maybe even black.
She could colour it and lie saying that it was for Hallowe'en, and that she didn't know it was permanent. From there she just had to convince her parents that she was self conscious about her appearance-- which she wasn't-- and that she wanted to keep her hair black.
She stared out the window for some time, until she realized she should probably plan what she was going to wear tonight.

The previous night I found a relatively good costume, and I woke up. No school today due to Halloween. Still I wasn't enthused about it. I found Maria under a tree.
I woke her up with a kiss. She opened her eyes and shook away the haze of sleepiness. Her arms wrapped around my neck and she kissed me with so much passion I got dizzy. She pulled me on top of her and continued to kiss me.
What on earth got into her I wondered. I didn't think about this for long as I moved to kiss he neck. I rolled on to my back and leaned against the tree. I sat her on my lap and wrapped my arms around her.
"Go back to sleep," I said.
She nodded and went back to sleep.
I fell asleep too. Dreams of bad Halloweens bombarded me.

"Yeah...uh, sure." Kevin said and walked away briskly.
Poor guy, I thought. Oh well, I'm in a poorer predictament.
I wasn't hungry at all for breakfast. I was so tired. I took a walk around campus "to ease my troubled mind" (I love 3DD...). I saw Chad and Maria "sleeping together" under a tree. May and Matt were probably somewhere together too. Shannon and Adam too.
It made me sick. And heart broken.
*geez, they need to get back together soon because this is really getting annoying to write lol just kidding*
