"That's right! I have to go see your teachers." My Dad said.
"You're going to see my teachers?" I said, bewildered. Now that I come to think of it, my dad was never really into my education necessarily. Only that I was doing well but mostly he wanted to know that I was being "a good girl" not a "smart one".
"Yeah, I've been thinking about your classes. I'm going to see if you can get back to grade level." He said, then turned to Nick, "Which way is the principal's office?"
Nick pointed across campus, "Just in that building, sir. Do you think you'll be able to find it?" he said.
"Yes, thank you Nick." Dad said, and started walking away.
I winked at Nick and hugged him.
"Well, your dad isn't around....where do you want to go?" I asked.
Matt played the guitair magically and fluently, leaving no room for mistakes His body wavered with intensity and yet a softness. The song hanging in the air and then whispering happily in your ears. I smiled at him as he finished and stared at me and his parents.
"Wow. What was that?" I breathed.
He paused for a second, "At first I wasn't sure, but now I know what it is. It's your song."
"What?" I breathed again
"Its a song that illustrates who you are. I started writing it when I met you, so I guess it makes sence."
I smiled wide and softly at him and he mirrored me. I felt his parents glances mirror each other as they looked at each other and then us.

Maria came running up to us. Shannon carted Seth away as he smirked at us.
"Excuse us for just as second," Maria said to her father. She grabbed my wrists and lead me to a corner so the others couldn't see us.
"I should have told you. I'm sorry." she said
"So, that's your future husband." I said
She shook her head. "I don't even like him, I like you."
I didn't know what to say to this I stood there staring at her confused.
"It's an arranged marriage, I don't know him, and what I do know about him I don't like."
She kissed me as I still stood there like a statue. I finally manged to say something to this.
"I can't date someone that is engaged willingly or not. It's wrong. I'm sorry I just can't be with you. He's your future." I kissed her for what I feared would be our last time, and began to leave.

The beach was great. Lei and me just sat and bathed in the light chatting and, and kissing. But eventually the time ran out and we rushed away.
When we got there we meet with Lei's dad for a bit of a chat.
"Well, sense its Sunday and all, me and Leighton will be going to Church. Would you like to come with us."
Lei gave a look that said please come. And against my want to not go I accepted. We all drove there and when communion came it took a turn for the worst.
"Nick why aren't you standing. We have to take communion ." Lei's dad said.
"I'm not allowed." I said plainly.
"How come/" He asked.
"I never got baptized or anything like that after." I told him
"Why not?" He asked.
"I'm atheist." I told him.

After a while my mom and I went on a walk. Dad and May stayed in the music room and talked. She was giving him a tutorial in parkour.
"You really like this girl dont you?"
"Yeah I think I do." I didn't know what I was saying. Of course I liked her. "I do." More conviction this time.
"You probably already know what I'm going to say."
"I do. Make sure I don't unneccessarily hurt myself by getting too attached too fast."
"Actually no. You've never been one to make stupid decisions. It seems like youve almost skipped the teenage stage of your life actually. What I was going to say was to be careful. I know what can happen in a strong relationship if you aren't careful-"
I interupted her with a laugh, "Mom. You just got done telling me that I'm incredibly responsible, and now you're about to give me a lesson in sex ed. I dont think that fits."
She chuckled a little, "But seriously. You know what to do right?"
"I do, but you're being paranoid. We've hardly been going out a week, I dont think its going to happen anywhere in the near future. I love you mom, but right now you are being paranoid."
"Good. Because if you did do anything your dad and I would make a blanket out of your skin." She said the threat with a smile.
"Wonderful."
We went back and met with dad and May. I walked them out to my Car so that they could drive home. We said our good byes, and my parents hugged May, which made me very happy. Right as they were about to pull out my mom stuck her head out the window.
"I forgot to ask, did you ever by any clothes?"
"No I was going to go this weekend."
May started pretty much hopping in her shoes, "I can handle that I think."
My mom laughed, "He has money on the red card in his wallet for clothes. Dont let him hide it from you, he hates clothes shopping."
"Oh, I could find it."

When Matt's parents car was out of sight, I smirked at Matt with a sweet sincerity.
"May.." He started
"It's only midafternoon and well-" I smiled in mid sentence and he sighed.
"I'll get my car keys," he said plainly and sighing and started walking towards the dorm.

At the Mall I basically ran Matt around, a perfect exercise. He refused to pick out anything himself and I literally had to beg him to try stuff on.

And it went on and on like this, he tried on a years worth of clothes but only bought a fourth of that. We shared laughs and I thought about approaching fall, here it was going to get cold. So I dragged Matt into my section.
