Boarding School

Thank god, I thought, my room mate was back.

I stood up and said, "Im Matt", offering my hand.

He took it, "You're pretty good. How long have you been playing?"

I laughed, "A long time. Do you play?"

"Yeah"

This might actually not be so bad. I turned to May, "Chad, this is May. She is in the room next door, and she thought she would come over and make a cake."

Chad laughed, "When will it be ready? Oh and by the way, thanks for getting stuff for the apartment, It looks much better."

May jumped up, "It should be done in ten minutes, give or take."

*I need to fit Alyse in somewhere.*

Alyse~

I finally found my room. Once the door unlocked-- I'd pushed the key through fifty doors or more to see if it worked-- I ran a room with the best view, and pulled off the prep clothes.

Though my parents may come by, I at least was comfortable. I had a pair of old red converse, an over-sized red sweatshirt and a pair of navy skinny jeans. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail. No room mate yet. I was in room 303.

I just placed my hands of my hips, taking a deep breath. Smelling all the new smells. I heard the fire alarm go off. Then some coughing. I darted out the door. A bit of smoke was coming out from the top and bottom of another person's dorm, a couple doors down. Three people stumbled out, coughing. One was holding a cake that was now charcoal. The alarm stopped.

"You gave me a heart attack!" I yelled, my hand had fluttered up to my heart. "I'm May!" The girl practically grabbed my and yanked me around with her hand shake. "I'm Alyse!" I said, my hand shaking vigorously.

I hope that's okay. I just didn't know where to squeeze myself in.

May ~

"Wahhhhhhhhh!!!! I cant see!!" I reched out for the nearest person and she told me her name and i answered her back, "I vote we order take out!"

I couldnt tell becaus ethe smoke was so thick around the room and we felt around for the doors and windows and opened them. Soon the smoke was clear enough to see eachother, I looked at myself and laughed.

"That was sooo cool! I opened the oven and it was like BOOM!!!!" and then I looked at the shaking others and caught the moent, "Ohmagawd im so sorry i didnt know it scared you guys that bad!" I stop smiling.

As soon as she opened the door I knew what was going to happen. I ran over to one of the windows and flung it open, but I wasn't fast enough. The room was flooded with thick smoke.

I ran around throwing open windows, and then finally the door when I heard May say, "Wahhhhhhhhh!!!! I cant see!! I vote we order take out!"

How could she joke right now? I thought.

I pushed it out of my mindand continued trying to clear the smoke out of the rooms.

When it was finally clear I looked around, everyone was breathing hard, but May was the only one smiling.

"That was sooo cool! I opened the oven and it was like BOOM!!!!!" She said.

I gave her a stern look and grabbed the cake from her, walking outside to find a big trash can. as I walked outside I heard a girl shout, "You gave me a heart attack!"

May of course ran to greet her, but me and Chad walked over to the trash can and dumped the cake in.

"Ugh, I need a drive."

Chad nodded, "Yeah... mind if I tag along?"

"Be my guest. Bring a bag with you though."

He looked at me oddly.

"For puking."

"Oh... I think I'll go unpack..."

I ran down the ssteps and out to my car. May hadn't noticed yet, and he wanted to be gone before she did. I found myself going extra fast as I left the parking lot. This seemed to be a day for driving. First all the people in the apartment. Then the cake. That had been the worst because it reminded him so much of his grandparents and how they died. Now he knew why it had hurt so much when that girl with the purple eyes came in. She had the same eyes as my grandma.

I blinked the tears out of my eyes and kept on driving. When my tank started to get empty I turned around and went to town. I filled up on gas and then went inside to pay. I was waiting in line when a voice behind me said, "Hey, you're matt right?"

*anyone can pop in*

(Boltage, I'll be your roommate.)

Tony opened the door to his room to see a boy putting some stuff down on the floor, "Oh, looks like you my roommate. I'm Tony," he put out his hand.

The boy nodded at shook his hand, "Ryan."

The conversation ended there because the fire alarm went off. He looked out the door and saw smoke. He dashed out and around the corner to see what was going on only to run into two people. Some how he had managed to keep his feet, but he totally flattened the two girls. Scratching his head he smiled, "Sorry about that. I say the smoke and came running." One girl seemed unfazed by it and leaped to her feet, the other accepted his hand, "I'm Tony by the way."

"Thanks, I'm Alyse."

"I'm May," said the other one in a happy tone.

Ryan was standing behind him now, "What happened?"

May replied to that question, "Our cake exploded."

Tony laughed at that statement and sighed, "Problems with cooking huh? I know of a pizza place just outside campus I was going to grab a bite at if you guys would like to join me." He waited for the three of them to reply.

I cradled my arm, and thought to myself, Matts really mad at meh.... ThenI couldnt let me see me sad so I changed my mood to something happier.

"Sure! Ill go! Just...well.. lemme change!" I motioned to my clothes and ran up stair while they snickered.

I ran into my room and dug thru my unorganized stuff. I dug out a pair of dark grey skinny jeans and a black shirt with a panda on it. It looked kind of boring so i threw on a purple hoodie. I slipped my black flats on because my black converse were now sooty. I went to the bathroom and washed my face and arms and put some black eyeliner on. I like the smoky chocolate smell so i let it be and ran downstairs back to where we were supposed to meet.. May your such an idiot i thought to myself as i waited for the others

Alyse~

I gratefully accepted when someone offered to take us to a pizza place down the street. I didn't have a car, obviously, because I was only fifteen. "I'm glad that I'm getting some food before training," I said, a little off topic for the conversation of burnt cakes, but hey, it got us talking again.

"Training?" Tony said. I nodded. "Yeah. Track training. I was planning on running tonight to keep nimble and in shape. I haven't run in forever though!"

May bounded down the stairs. "Ready!" she called. We started towards the car. May sure reminded me of a puppy. A whole lot of trouble, and full of energy.

"Now lets go get some pizza!" I bounded down the stair and stared at all of them, "Can I drive?"

"No," Tony said almost instantly

"Fine.." I mumbled and we all walked out the house and into the parking lot, the sun was setting and you could see it clearly from the front door. We walked toward the parking lot and stopped to watch the setting sun, it was pastels against the august sky.

We began walking again and we were all talking and laughing. I really liked it here, mabe eachday will be different, I laughed and they stared at me like a crazy person. "Race you guys to the car!"

"i wonder if SHE is going out for any sports?" Alyse Said and they laughed and chased after me.

Ryan~~

After the girls began to run i dropped my board and followed them. I passed them and when i did looked back did a laugh and did a kick flip as i did. I made it to the car before them and heard the door lock click open and i hoped in the shot gun waiting for the others lazily.

Tony smiled as he ran. Running always made him feel better. As he passed May he looked to his side and saw Alyse running beside him at the same speed. He laughed and turned to run faster, but the car was right there. He slammed into the front of the car and then rolled off. Alyse put her hands over her mouth and May was laughing her head off.

Ryan came over and helped him up, "Guess you win," he said in a wity tone.

Rubbing his stomach he smiled, "Not one of my brightest moments. Come on, I'm hungry, lets just go." Everyone pilled in his four door Sadan.

"Do you have a liscence?" Asked Ryan as he took shotgun.

"A juniors one yes."

"What does that mean?" Asked may in a sacastic tone.

"It means I can drive this car and you can't?" They all laughed at his remark as they drove away.

I breathed hard and jumped into the back seat.
"No..," I breathed <"Fair on all of you, but dont worry," I breathed again,"Dont you guys worry!"

All of them were laughing, I loved this crowd so much and it was obvious Tony and Alyse hit it off. We eventually got to pizza place and we all funneled out the car, I had finally caught my breath bac and skipped through the front door. "GUYS!!!! GUYSSS!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS SO COOL!!!!"

Alyse~

I was standing in the pizza place, in line waiting to order. I couldn't stop laughing at what Tony had done. He just smacked into the car and rolled off. It was total 'blonde' moment. I started giggling, then began laughing hysterically. I probably wouldn't forget this for days. I was always like that. Just started laughing spontaneously over something that happened, days, week-- months!-- before.

I was just about to order, but I couldn't stop laughing. "Go ahead of me," I motioned to the person behind me. I was clutching my stomach and leaning forward, my face totally red. Boy, that sure was funny.

Chad~

I unpacked my stuff quickly. I dind't want to be left in this room all by myself. So when I finished I walked into the hall, and just began to walk hoping I would bump into someone. I didn't of course mean it so literaly. I turned the corner and ran head long into someone. We both fell to the floor.

*Anyone can bump into me.*

"thanks Alyse!" I passed her as I looked at her laughing really hard, "Wow... you must really like him," She stared at me while I ordered a monsterous calzone, "Everything on it, except onions I hate onions, Slice up the pepperoni and dice the peppers make sure the sasuage is fully cooked and the four cheeses are nice anad melty," The person at the counter stared at me like anyone who had just walked in and asked for it on a golden platter.

He asked me to repeat myself tice, no three times and when he finally got it I payed and he handed me the number. I chose a big table by a window of course and sat down. Everyone finally made it to the table. I looked at the nearby kitchen door and Ryan noticed what I waas looking at.

"No May...you may not go near that door." he said shaking his head.

"I wasnt about to..." I said innocently and smiling. Thats when I noticed mAtts car in the gas station across from us. I waved spazztically attracting the attention of everyone in the restaurant, because they were all thinking Doesnt she knoe that the windows are tinted from the outside?

Connor

He swore loudly in French as he was knocked over by some inconsiderate walker, “Qu’est-ce tu fais?” he shouted as he stood up, not realizing he was still speaking French.

The other boy stood up, giving him a confused look, “Sorry…what did you say?”

He blinked, still not realizing for a second, “Oh right, sorry. Don’t worry about that.” He held out one hand, “I’m Connor.”

"Rich boy..." someone snickered as they turned a corner. He glared after them, but he hadn't seen who it was.
