Boarding School

When I noticed Alyse was gone I freaked out. At first I was "she just prolly went to to o et a drink or something" but when she didnt come "back" I started to hyperventilate. "May," Matt shook me and i ran out. I had spaced out and all I had in mind was finding Alyse. I mowed over people in the process and I said sorry, very quickly. I ran back to bakery thinking I could retrace my steps. I knocked someone over in my blind running and rolled over on my back and jumped up from there.

"Im..." I stated and there was Alyse, finally.

"ALYSE!!!!!" I helped her up and dusted her off, "Im so sorry!"

SHe looked happy to see me too, and there was a random guy that looked like the kid from those youtube vids but in older form nearby.

"HEy!! YOU!" I looked at him and pointed my finger.

"If you layed one of your youtubish fingers on her... I...I.." I looked at alyse and looked back at the obviously scared guy.

"May.." Alyse stepped toward me.

"Thankyou so much!" i said finally, "You brought Alyse back~!!!"

He looked confused andI introduced myself to him because i had never seen him before.

"Hi Im May~!!" he still looked scared, "This is usually when you say hi my name is......"

"...Fred..just fred..." he finally said.

Marianne

The movie was playing, and I was distracted, talking to May. Suddenly, Matt started laughing. I turned around to see what was happening, and saw a embarrassed Chad. i hadn't had time to ask what happened; May jumped out of her seat, as the lights were going on again, and screamed "Alyse!"
the movie was over and Alyse was back with some guy named Fred.
"Hi Alyse, I'm Maria. I believe we have met before. I heard you playing "River Flows in You" by Yiruma, am I right?", I said to her, giving her a kiss on the cheek," I'm May's roommate"
"Yes, I'm Alyse, as you seem to already know..."
"You played wonderfully! Maybe sometime you could help me with that song... it's still a bit rusty", I said.
"Yes, anytime"
Chad was some steps away, talking to that guy, Fred. Too bad the movies didn't help with anything.
I turned to May. It seemed she was the one in charge to where we would be heading.
"So, May, now what?"

Fred

As they entered the cinema, Fred realised he was with the group he had seen leaving the school in the two cars.

Shouldn't have cycled, now I won't be able to get a lift back

A girl called Maria came over to where he stood, and began talking to Alyse.

"Hi Alyse, I'm Maria. I believe we have met before. I heard you playing "River Flows in You"..."

Fred decided to use this as an opportunity to mingle with the others, walking up to the nearest member of the group. He made a mental note to find "River Flows in You" later on the internet, he wasn't convinced he had heard that before.

"Hey," he said, offering a handshake, "I'm Fred, pleased to meet you."

The boy looked at Fred for a moment before shaking his hand.

"I'm Chad." he said.

"Chad...right...don't think I've seen you before. So what you guys doing now?"

*So May told me she would be really busy, so I'll direct the story for a bit*

When May came back with Alyse I couldnt help but be relieved. The fact that I hadn't noticed her missing bothered me.

My phone vibrated in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was a text from the school saying, "Happy 200th anniversary. We want to kick of the year in a new way. Tomorow night there will be a ball in the gymnasium, all are welcome to attend. More information on websight."

I sighed and walked over to the group centered around May and Alyse.

"Hey, may I interupt?"

They all looked at me. "Look what I just got." Then I started passing around my phone.

When it got to may she started hopping up and down, "This is gonna be fun!"

We all went back to the school then. Nick didn't skate back so I got to drive fast. When we arrived at the school five minutes earlier than everyone else my passengers stumbled out of the car looking sick. I laughed at the expression on their faces.

I lifted myself out of Matt's car close to chucking up my cookie. Fred pulled himself out behind me "Matt I've had some pretty crazy rides but that's rates up their with the top three" I said leaning on the car. May climbed out of the front seat disturbed by the ride "come on I need to get ready" she said whining a little bit and kinda bouncing on the spot. "yeah I could do with a fresh shirt , let me just get my bike off the roof" Fred stated clipping the ropes holding the bike on the roof. I helped him when the back of the bike got caught when we turned around May and Matt were nearing the entrance to our dorm.

We opened the door to are room and found the deputy head standing in the living room, holding the vodka bottle that Fred had taken last night. She hadn't noticed them and they both quickly stepped left into the kitchen. "You didn't hide the bottle" I whispered into Fred's ear. "I did, behind the fridge she's not normally that thorougher, we could just leave".
"True, I like that idea" We both silently stepped out on to the hallway, and ran to May's room. The second she opened the door me and Fred ran in. Fred slammed the door while I ran and cowered behind the sofa. "Hello, my room, not yours" May said looking at Fred. "Sorry May, were hiding from the law" I said the last bit only half joking.

May stared at Fred and Adam, and for a moment Fred thought she was going to chuck them out.

"You're the boy who found Alyse, aren't you?"

"Uh, yeah," Fred blinked, "yeah...the name's Fred, just so you know."

"I'm May," she said enthusiastically, "so why are you guys hiding?"

"They found an empty vodka bottle in our room," Adam explained, "because Fred is crap at hiding things."

"I told you earlier, she isn't normally that thorough!"

There was a knock on the door, and Fred jumped over the sofa next to Adam, and ducked. May opened the door, and the deputy head walked in with the vodka bottle.

"Hello, I don't suppose you've seen two boys, uh...Adam and Fred, I think their names were, have you?"

"No mish, no boys here."

"Okay...well in that case you wouldn't mind if I took a look around?"

"Oh, well, um..."

The deputy head pushed past May and walked towards the sofa.

Adam

"Fred you gotta take the fall for this" Fred looked at me as if to say piss off . "what, why it's your vodka?"
"yeah and it's your crappy hiding place, look please, between you and me I had expiriance. With abuse of drinks and drug's you know parole get caught your doing the rest of your five years inside. Please I'm your roommate" Fred reluctently nodded his head. "hello gentelmen may I ask what your doing back their"
"um you know miss good old game of hide and seek but look you found us so you no go and hide we'll count" I said the deputy faked a laugh "I was told you had an awful sence of humour I under estimated just how bad it was." the smile faded from my face May walked into her room obviously not wanting too be asociated with them right now. Fred stood up ready to take the blame "it's my vodka miss I bought it I drank it" she nodded unbelevingly "have you had any drinks or drugs since you got here Adam" .
"of cource not, Fred is what he saying true?".

Fred gritted his teeth. He knew that Adam had been drinking, and he wouldn't be surprised if he had taken drugs. But Adam's description of the punishment he could receive sounded far too harsh, and Fred wasn't prepared to let him get in that much trouble. He decided Adam would probably feel bad anyway.

"It's true, miss, I've been with him virtually the whole time and he's not been drinking or taking drugs."

She scowled at Fred, and wagged her finger.

"Fred, if I find out you're lying...right, well, seeing as you've been a good student for the past three years-"

"I have?!" Fred asked, genuinely amazed. "Um...yeah...yeah, you're right, I have."

The deputy head squinted at Fred suspiciously, before carrying on.

"As I was saying...I really should punish you. Punish you big time. But seeing as you've been here three years without any incidents like this..."

Fred couldn't help coughing loudly.

"...I'll let you off. But don't expect me to be quite so lenient in future. The same goes for you, Adam."

She marched out, slamming the door behind her.

"Phew," Adam patted Fred on the back, "thanks for saving my arse there."

"No problem. But don't expect me to do that every time."

May~~

Sure, I tried to protect Fred and Adam but personally it wasn't my business. I had said to clean up this sort of crap but noooooo. I thought to myself, the scary mousy lady was talking to them and I was in the kitchen, making sure my wine was carefully tucked behind the bottles of cleaning supply under the sink. They were cool and they deserved better, the mousy lady was an obvious pushover and one of those people who complained about something but never tried anything to fix it and obviously too lazy to. I stole a glance at them when she walked out. The guys were sighing on the couches and I took a plate of cookies I had bought in bulk at the bakery. The guys munched a few and finally left after a bit. I sat on the couch and slowly chewed, a ball huh? I had a few formal dresses that Revvie made me pack so I was ready. My phone beeped.

PS: To the whole ball business it is formal AND a masquerade so bring a mask or the school will provide for you.

I smirked at the whole idea, to pretend your a another person and dress in a pretty dress could only describe one word in my dictionary: Yay.

I was going to change a few things about myself for tomorrow, visual wise. Heck. Yes.

Marianne

Wow, a ball. Oh my God, I have nothing to wear!
I texted May when we were still in the car. When we arrived at the school, Chad helped me off the Tony's car. My phone rang. It was May, telling me to meet her in the dorm.
"May!", I called when I walked in the dorm."I need your help! I have nothing to wear to tomorrow's ball!"

Tony got out of his car and helped everyone with their stuff. Alyse seemed distracted, but he thought twice about asking her. He noticed she ran off towards the track to do some running. Leaving her be he went back to his room with Ryan and plopped himself on the couch laying down. Looking at his phone he read the info on needing a mask. Sighing he put it away and starred at the ceiling.

Ryan sat down in the chair and looked at his own phone, "You going to the dance?"

"I don't know, maybe. They're not really my thing, but I came here to meet new people so I suppose I'll go. What about you?"

"Maybe. Not my thing either, but it could be fun."

"Yeah." Tony laid there a while more and Ryan listened to his I-pod. Sitting up Tony decided to check if he even had a suit to wear. Walking into his room his sighed in relief, he had brought a suit. "Now all I need is a mask."

"The text said the school would supply you one."

Tony turned to see Ryan standing at his doorway, "No, I think I'll go look for one in town at a small shop or something." He went into the kitchen and picked up his keys, "You want to come?"

Chad~

I couldn't wait for the dance. Dances were probably the best way to meet new people. It's where you were constantly surrounded by people, and at this dance I could probably get closer to Maria.

I found Matt in the dorm already strumming his guitar.

"So I asked, who are you going to the dance with," I asked.

Marianne

I arranged to go with May to town, to seek for clothes shops. We left about half an hour after we arrived. We went to my BMW, that was in the same place I parket it when I first got to school.
I parked the car in a free spot in a street with lots of little shops.
We ran through every one of them.
It was getting dark outside, when we were at a little boutique called "4eva". We searched through piles and piles of clothes and I finally found a dress. It was beautiful! Between the shades of purple and blue, it was astonishing.
"May, this is the one!"
After I payed for it, a high price I must add but it was worth it, we ran a few doors down and found a mask that went with it.
"May, do you need anything?"
"Nah, I already have my dress"
We went back to the school, still in an early evening.

"I wasn't planning on attending, unless someone asks me, but I have doubts that that will happen. I'll probably ride into town and see another movie, or play soccer or something. You going with anyone?"

He smiled, as if at an inside joke.

"Oh right," I said, "Maria."

He looked at me, "Am I that obvious?"

I shook my head, "No, youre not, Im just very observant."

*Okay, okay. I'm back. Sorry I hadn't posted in a while...*

Alyse~

Alyse took a run around the track six times. She looked at her watch. Five minutes until music class. I could skip..., she thought, but then she knew her dad would not allow her to go to the dance. She skipped up the steps towards the school.

She was happy Fred had come along. She'd felt like a loser. They'd forgotton about her. Am I really that unnoticable? Just slipping under the radar like that even when you're in the plain eye?

She sulked as she pushed open the door to the music room, carrying her books in hand. The teacher was waiting. He motioned for her to sit. "C-major scale, please," he said, as he stood by the door. Maybe other students were coming?
