I'm wondering what sound words people use to describe a frog's vocal patterns.

Croak

I agree with thunder_dude. Ribbit sounds better.
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

This was brought on by a conversation with my dad. He asked me something or other and a few minutes later he told me that people from around the world would probably have a different way of describing what a frog says.

So, a geek moment brought on this.....

Hmm, I would also say "croak". I mean, I wouldn't say croak, I would say that a frog says croak. :D

But there's something I've been wondering, and that is, what does a rabbit say?

I think the only sound that comes from a rabbit is their breathing and chewing. Have you seen a rabbit chew?! It's hyper-speed!

xD

I totally agree with Rosey and the hyper speed rabbit. Everything a rabbit does is in hyper speed! I've had several pet rabbits in the past and their little noses just go beserk when their sniffing something!

Brekekekex coax coax.

... I don't know how to spell it.

It's what the frogs say in Aristophanes play.

That's how I thought frog's ribbeted as a child.

Well!

You have to consider what type of frog! Most of the time it's a "gribbit ribbit" or a "hik-ow" (I know XD I used to imitate bird calls and frog sounds)

Then you have those south American frogs, that are called the "coqui", from the sound they make. (A famous author wrote about them, I just can't remember her name)

There are frogs somewhere in some part of the USA that make a sound like bells; others make sounds like owls.

Aaand then! There are those frogs that people say have the voices of music. Maybe, listen to different audios of frogs croaking online. I know they have some. And, try to imitate them as they croak.

I'm not much help, eh? :P

June, you remind me of Henry Higgins from My Fair Lady, who could tell which street someone lived on by the way he spoke.

...Listen to different audios of frogs croaking online.

For some reason, to me that sentence was hysteriaclly hilarious. I have no idea why.

But I have to agree. Rabbits' little noses are so cute when they chew and/or sniff! And also hyper-speed.
