These are some drawings I have produced in some free time I had. They are just done with ordinary colouring pencils. (sorry the starling is leaning forward like that, the scanner is being annoying)
Feel free to comment if you wish!:D ;)

Hey Mad Moo!

These are fantastic! The details of the birds' feathers are exceptional! Actually, all the details are really amazing. It's obvious just by looking at these pictures that you took the time to really get everything right. Anyway, here are my thoughts on each individual drawing:

First Drawing: the feathers are amazing! The wing that we can see looks a little awkward though; it's not quite as graceful and elegant as the rest of the bird. It looks kind of choppy, like maybe it should have a bit more definition of feathers there. The bird also looks as though it's going to topple over on it's face. I don't know if you looked at a picture to draw this or not, but it seems it's legs should have been a bit farther to the left or the bird tilted up more. But that's just me. The legs are very good, by the way! I love the shine on the claws.

Second Drawing: something seems awkward about the wing. Perhaps it should've been curved more? The tail feathers in the back look kind of blocky and shapeless as well. But again with the detail, it's amazing. Both pictures are very realistic. I especially love the eyes in this drawing. They're very intense, which it very characteristic of a bird! The grass is very well done; that must have taken you ages!

Anyway, I love your drawings! They're very good!

Wow. You draw birds way better than I do.
Only one thing I found funny is that,
In the second piece,
Absence of shading and some other stuff,
Make it unrealistic because there's no contrast in distance.
The bird and lighthouse look equally close,
Which is weird as the bird is bigger than the lighthouse?
But overall, fantastic work! :D

Hey Madd Moo! June here!

These are really good! I wish I could draw birds half as well as this :).

• 1 - I love the feathers and the eye! It's really dramatic, and the expression is just priceless, haha.

The only thing that looks slightly weird is the tail part. The upper part should have more of a decline than an ascent to it. It looks like the feathers have a bone in them :P.

• 2 - That bird is amazing! It looks slightly ferocious, too. The only thing this needs is a bit of shading to make it "pop". Now, it looks like the bird is overpowering everything. Shading could balance that a bit :D.

But! These are very good! You definitely have a great talent. Keep it up! I'd love to see more!

Hullo there!

I think I just finished critiquing your story, 42. Nice work on that, by the way.

These are amazing. You did these using colored pencils? Nice work. The first one is beautiful --the colors and textures are brilliant. Can tell you spent time on it. It almost looks as though you can reach out and feel the ridges on its legs and the sleek of its wings. Amazing skill there.

The second one is equally detailed, but his posture bugs me. He looks a bit too hunched, like he's developing a hump back. The background and textures, however, are again, beautifully done. Gives the picture a cheery look -- almost a mural you might see in a child's room, minus the deadly looking bird.

On both of them, I love how much detail you put into the feathers. I can't imagine how long it took you, but it paid off well. Aside from the over-hunching of the second bird, they both look fabulous and beautiful. You've got a lot of skill. Plan to do anything professional with it at some point? If nothing else, you could always sell prints. You've got the eye for detail, so I can imagine they'd be high enough quality to do well. :)

hi!
I love the detail in both of these birds, you really made them seem alove and that's awesome. My favourite one was the first because of the feathers, the colouring is great and I love their eyes loads. Another thing I liked are the talons of both birds.
Great work :)

OOh i really like these pics. The are so . . . bird like. I really really like the first one because the feathers and everything are so realistic! And I really like how they shine! OO Shinee... The only thing I think is wrong about this is:
Its feet should be forward more or maybe its back more straight, because I do not think the bird would be able to stand like that without falling over forward.
For the second one: WOW you really took time to colour the WHOLE page! I could never do that. I never usually have the patience to do backgrounds. They take so long. I like this birs alot because of the colours you used. Actually, darker might have been better... but anyways... i love the blue feet!

God I wish I could draw like you can!

The first bird is amazing, the bird actually looks like it's a real bird. Plus I love the eye and feathers.

The second bird to me just seems a little bit off, I think it's the shoulder. Still it's an amazing drawing and you defiantly have a talent for drawing.

Both drawings are fantastic and I can't believe you did these with color pencils!

Wow, those are really good! I don't really have a lot to say, but one tiny little detail I'm not too keen on is in the second picture. The ocean, just a bit to the left of the light house, looks a bit too uneven to me. Obviously I know there are waves so it should look a bit rough from some angles, but on a calm day (as the clear sky suggests) I doubt if you'd normally be able to see waves on the horizon. Unless you're looking at it from a horizontal angle, but to me it looks like the strip of land which makes the foreground is a cliff or steep hill. But in terms of the birds themselves, which are absolutely superb, I have nothing negative to say.
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of this signature.

So, these are really good.

First Picture: So the first one has amazing coloring too it and the body shape is very well done but the wings seem to be very cut and paste on. They lack the life and movement of an actual bird.

Second Picture: This was is amazing too but something about the birds shape bothers me. I think it’s because his back seems rather hunched up. But The background of the picture actually helps to make him seem more real and more distinct. Very cool.

Overall, these are very well done pictures and its apparent that you put a lot of work into making these look as best as you could. Very cool and mad props.

You know how I hate that you can draw realistically.....
Mr scanner has struck again (on the first bird... Now it appears to have balance problems :()
About the second drawing, (because I have seen it in real life without the influence and free editing of the mischievous scanner) I don't think that you could do anything really to make the light house look farther away... maybe if you were to add some more clouds in the sky and have them gradually getting smaller it would work...

Thank you all very much :D I've got more bird art, which I'll maybe post soon. ;)
Glad you guys liked them :) They both took a long time, around five hours between them (mostly because I work very slowly when drawing ;))
