Literary Magazines?

I just finished writing and editing a short suspense story, about 1,000 words, but I don't know where to submit it. I tried googling for some suspense magazines and all I could find is The Strand. Does anybody know of others, or literary magazines that accept suspense stories?

I think I have more laying around here somewhere, but those are the ones that I remember off the top of my head.

Duotrope (http://duotrope.com/) is a website that lists tons and tons of short fiction and poetry markets. You should find plenty of options there.

There are way more literary publications that publish that type of thing than you think. I can't suggest a particular place, but I'd suggest getting a resource like The Young Writer's Market or the Writer's Market. Most libraries have them. You'd almost certainly be able to find something in a directory like that.
