Hello.
The title's pretty self explanatory. I have compiled my top ten favourite songs to share with all of you. I also have included a description of each song underneath and my reasons why I like them. Enjoy guys and I would appreciate comments!

1. Human by the Killers
This song is a song specially made for dancing as the band said. It has a very strong message that can be interpreted many ways. The chorus is, "Are we human, or are we dancer?" I love this song for it's hidden deepness and disguised significance. It was a hard competition for number one but this one is certainly pretty high on my list.

2. Into the Ocean by Blue October
I love this song because of it's lovely metaphors and wonderful lyrics. If you listen to it you'll get what I mean. It's about a guy who is sad. That's all I can sum up.

3. Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol

This song is soft and could be called "boring" by listeners that don't listen to the lyrics to notice their true essence.
I love this song for it's very true pure lyrics. The singer is brilliant, just brilliant. The whole song has a beautiful feel and sound.

4. Angels on the Moon by Thriving Ivory
Oh my goodness, where to start with this one! It's strong tempo and metaphoric yet melodious sound is really well done and very well sung. The lead singer has a truly unique voice that only enhances the quality of this song. This relatively new band has risen to the top very fast. The lyrics of this song are very rich and deep. Lovely job.

5. Phantom Limb by the Shins

This has a very distinct tempo and amazing musicians that played for it. The words are a bit muddled but overall the song sounds good and the lyrics mean a lot.

6. Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
Don't look at me like that! This song is probably the band's best. It's meaning is just so significant and the overall work on this song is impressive. I was honestly amazed at My Chemical Romance. The beat is changeable and the lead singer managed only to scream for a few measures. I'm proud of you My Chemical Romance.

7. Viva la Vida by none other than Coldplay
Oh yes. Wasn't this the song that reached the top of the 2008 charts? Coldplay used to rule the world? This experimental song was just astonishing. I never really paid much attention to this band before this song made it's debut. The distinct rhythm of this song makes it a wonderful listen and the lyrics are well thought out the lead singer did a very good job.

8. [b]Every Time We Touch by Cascada

This song is a love song meant for dancing. It has a very wonderful beat that carries throughout the entire song and lyrics that are embarassingly catchy. It sings a familiar song and it's just very well sung. I found it yesterday.

9. Drops of Jupiter by Train
This song has a very short sweet meaning. It's definitely not your average love song. Train set up a good beat and a smooth syllable pattern. The lead singer is great!

10. Boston by Augustana
Augustana is another nearly undiscovered band that is waiting to shine for the world. This song has nice lyrics that tell a very complete story. The instruments are very well played and the lead singer is wonderful. The entire sound is great.

11. The Fear by Lily Allen
This song has a simple meaning sung very eloquently by Allen. She's a wonderful singer. This song displays the truth about fame and reality. The lyrics are catchy and honest. This song is great.

12. Nolita Fairytale by Vanessa Carlton

Vanessa Carlton's voice and empowering lyrics make this song beautiful. She has rhythm a great voice, and astounding instrumentals. That's another score for you Vanessa.

13. Everything You Want by Vertical Horizan
This song is certainly not your average love and lust song. It has meaningful lyrics about truly yearning. Vertical Horizon gave perfect attention to the beat and the notes. Nice Job.

15. Pony (It's Okay) by Erin McCarley

This song has a very unique sound and lyrics that only Erin has managed to pull off. She explains herself in this song with a very elegant yet playful air.

Honorable Mentions~ (in no order)

Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Greenday
Check Yes Juliet by We the Kings
Walking on Air by Kerli
No More Room to Breathe by There for Tomorrow
I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab For Cutie

Thanks...

...for reading this guys! I love music and thought I spread the joy of my favourite songs around. Notice there is no heavy metal. (Sorry, I don't listen to that)

Thanks again, comments are welcome and suggestions would be awesome. I'm always looking for more music!

Yes, this was a difficult list to make. Let me tell you, the songs listed here's positions aren't set in stone. They're rank can rise and decline and I may have to add the Fear onto this list in place of another song. And maybe... well you get the idea. This is quite a changeable list.

Thanks so much for your input!

I have only heard Everytime We Touch of that list  But I don't really like Cascada's version, the original is prettier.

I could never pick any favourite songs...

*Gasps* Drops of Jupiter is awesome! Haha.

Mmm. My favorites. I like a LOT of random songs. Let's pick the most played on my iPod, shall we?

1.) Flightless Bird, American Mouth- Iron & Wine
2.) Hallelujah- Jeff Buckley
3.) Never Think- Rob Pattinson
4.) Let Me Sign- Rob Pattinson
5.) Bella's Lullaby- Carter Burwel
6.) Clair de Lune- The APM Orchestra
7.) Free Fallin' (Live)- John Mayer
8.) Daughters (Live)- John Mayer
9.) Hero/Heroine (Acoustic)- Boys Like Girls
10.) I'm Yours- Jason Mraz
11.) Notice- Gomez
12.) She Is Brighter- The Mitch Hansen Band
13.) Decode (Acoustic Version)- Paramore
14.) Pillow Mint Matchbook- Spencer Bell (R.I.P.)
15.) Beautiful, More So- Spencer Bell (R.I.P.)

That's weird... It's only my slow, soft, pretty songs. Oh! I know why. It's because the songs my iPod plays most are overnight when I have my "Sleep Songs" playlist playing. Otherwise, it's a mystery to me how John Mayer and Gomez ended up there. Haha.

But #1 is one of my favorites. I also like Nevershoutnever!, The Maine, Hey Monday, Stereo Skyline, and Muse. Haha.

So that's it. Bye!

Just that girl Drew Seely (did you know he was behind the voice behind Troy in the first HSM. I saw performe a few of the songs live at his concert, there is no way his voice was blended with Zac's)

I'm also a suck er for anything from the classic disney movies, especially tarzan. I listen to just about everything. But only what I consider real music. That means no rap ( hip-hop is different) exceprt lose the beat or something like that from eninem. hate him but that song is ok. And my favorites change on a dayly basis.
