Miracle’s Boys is about an African American family of three young brothers and how they cope with their parents’ deaths and the extreme emotional tension that has built up around them. Jacqueline Woodson portrays their story using strong dialogue to depict the social interactions and the underlying themes in this narrative. The Smith brothers’ story begins in the Bronx, when the delinquent middle brother Charlie returns home.
At first, the most obvious conflict was the tension between Charlie and Laffayette when Charlie returns home. Laffayette calls him NewCharlie, indicating that he perceives his older brother to be a different, more hardened person than he was when he went to reform school. T’yree discourages this, but he can’t control Laffayette, so it continues, with both Charlie and Laffayette blaming one another for ruining each other’s lives.
It begins to show in the beginning of the book how T’yree came to be the adult guardian of the two teenagers. Their father had left years before, and their mother died when her diabetes was left untreated. Laffayette blames himself for this, and his emotions regarding the sense of guilt are preyed upon by Charlie. Then, one night, T’yree and Laffayette are called to the police station where Charlie has been retained. T’yree is furious at his brother for his involvement in a gang fight that eventually led to his arrest.
Later, the brothers begin to share their stories, pouring out emotions of guilt and fear regarding their parents’ death. They also shared fears that they would be sent away to their aunt. Their fear was that T’yree, being an adult, would send them away to their aunt so he could go to college

First of all...
when the delinquentTHERE SHOULD BE A COMMA HERE middle brother Charlie returns home.
NewCharlie
Hm, not sure if there should be a capital for the 'C' in Newcharlie. You've read the book, so you can check it out!
Other than that, it looks good! I didn't get muddled up for anything... Good work on this, the plot is clearly displayed in a manner that everyone can understand!
