Making Maribelle do something dramatic, or having something dramatic happen to her, will definently shoot her up on the chart. Plus, this is weirdly made up of four girls and one boy, bolt. Drama is going to help

THE GUY IN NEW YORK:
[spoiler]He is a professor in paranoiaologly or whatever. ESP and shadows ( ) and superpowers. He doesn't have his own powers, but he knows more about them (and shadows!) than probably anyone else. After we talk to him and learn to trust him (which'll take maybe... an hour?) they get attacked by shadows, they lose professor haven't-decided-his-name-yet, and this would be a good point for some dramatic happenings? *wink wink* [/spoiler]

LaReina had the idea that the shadows would be defeated and then Joseph would come along and, being turned to the bad guys side, raise up an army of machines to fight.

I didn't have an idea.

JustDance had the idea to make the shadows just dissapear, then come back even stronger.

I agree with Bolt.
Somethng I would recommend is doing a sequel like StolenHearts said.
Bascially if Bolt doesn't mind staying in for just a few more tiny posts we can have something happen like kill of all the shadows or suddenly they all dissapear.
Now the charcter's have nothing to worry abour right?
WRONG!
So they all leave everyone & go back to their normal lives, leaving their unfinished love, friendship, etc. storiea behind.
So don't make the character's fall in love just yet.
Now the shadows didn't exactly go...
They just went back to get stronger & better then ever...& I mean A LOT stronger.
So now the teens come back & realize it's up to them to save the world...
but thiss time it's going to be a lot harder, a lot bloodier, & a whole lot of drama.
So there is the sequel.

The sequel is good ... but let's finish this first. I like the draggy and slow. It allows more emotion, and captures the reader better than short, pointless posts! Let's finish this first, okay? We have such a plot built up!
