Hello, thanks for clicking on my storybook!
I hope you will join.

Try to think of this storybook almost like a video game. You will have check points and an ultimate goal. And to beat the game you have to beat the government.

First off, I will tell you the rules:
1. Don't kill people, unless they want you to or it fits in with the storybook, it's just not cool. :)
2. Don't try to god-mode or whatever it is.
3. Please please please use good grammar and proofread your posts (Which I would like to be at least a paragraph long each.)
4. If you want to claim people or talk about the storybook with someone pm them, or use the discussion thread.
5. Check the discussion thread for updates on the plot from me.
6. Be creative and have fun

Now for the plot.

There can be only six characters not including mine, I'll explain why.
My characters are going to be like those "checkpoints" they will be less active in the storybook (except for Sam) but they will help you achieve your main goal.

Everyone is brought together in a shabby hotel in Madiscon, Wisconsin, for whatever reason. You just have to be there. The two things you all have in common is that 1. you all have criminal backgrounds and do not trust the police or the government and 2. all of you have only one parent and that parent is missing (it can be mother or father or even aunt or uncle, doesn't matter)

The police show up at the hotel at night and you all think that they are there for you, you all run into the woods near the hotel. You all notice that you all seem to be running. Then Sam says that he knows somewhere safe you can all go, but its on the other side of the country.

First Goal:
Get to Los Angeles and find Saul Peters.

Also, the cops are chasing you, but you will soon find out that it is for a different reason than you would think.

That is all you need to know for now. If you have questions pm me.

*NOTICE: I would not be opposed to a couple people (that are not already one of the six characters but would like to join) to be govenment agents but in order to do that you need to pm me so I can fill you in on some things*

Here are my first two characters.
You can use these profiles for your format for your profile (p.s. everyone is alloted one character and one character only since we have a six character limit)

Name: Sam Elles
Age: 17 (everyone is seventeen)
Gender: Male
Criminal background: Sam and his father, Jack have been con artists ever since Sam can remember. They have stolen millions of dollars worth of artifacts, painting, jewelry, and just about anything. They sell and stash their stolen loot. His father is his only family.
Current location: Hotel in Madison Wisconsin (same as everyone else)
Reason: he and his father just stole from a silent auction there.

Goal Character
Name: Saul Peters
Age: Mid thirties
Gender: Male
Criminal background: grand theft auto. need I say more.
Current Location: Los Angeles, California. He lives there with his wife and daughter. He was never caught.
All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, and I promise you something great will come of it.

Name: John Evans
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Criminal background: John was a British drug dealer for many years. The police were aware of this, but due to his young age they allowed his school to deal with him. When he was 16, however, John found himself in the middle of a gang war in London, which eventually resulted in him killing someone. He escaped to the USA, but he suspects that the American Police will co-operate with the British Police in his capture if he is tracked down.
Personality: John comes across as a bit stupid, especially when he is agitated (sadly he is also easy to agitate). He is street-wise, and a dangerous combatant, having learnt many fighting techniques and how to handle dangerous weapons when he was 16. However, he sometimes acts irrationally, and lives in the moment, meaning he often makes situations worse in the long run.
Reason: On the run/looking for somewhere safe to settle.

Definitely sounds like fun ^_^ (Yes, I love storybooks)

Name: Shael(Shay-Ell) Corbin

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality: Shael is the type who had always done things herself, so getting help from others is a new concept to her and may not go as others plan. She is very reserved and broken inside; but she is kind, with a touch of cynicism when needed(needed in her opinion).

Criminal background: Shael grew up in a small shack with her deathly ill mother; and with no money to support either of them, Shael was forced to steal from people, shops, church's, anything and everything that would get them money for food and water. Since she was five, she had learned to trick anyone and successfully steal without anyone even noticing. Her biggest crime came, though, when the father who had deserted her and her mother with only enough medicine to keep her mother alive for one decade returned. Shael had found him desperately trying to get her mother to take him back, which soon turned into something very bad when her mother refused. That is where Shael stepped in, and murdered her father.

Current location: Hotel in Madison Wisconsin

Reason: Her father had held a pocket full of money when he had been assaulting her mother. Taking that off his person, as well as a small share of what her mother had taken from the money she had kept from Shael's thieving over the years, her mother told her to buy a single, cheap hotel room for the night and take off the next day.

Other: Up for love.
Anti-Peta.

Name: Brigitte Coralie Constance

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Criminal Backround: She's an amazing forger and a master at disguise.

Personality: She's bold, tough and strong. But elegant in her own way. She's very secretive yet frank to the point of rudeness.

History: Will reveal during the story. Very troubled.

Appearance: When she's not in disguise she has silvery blonde hair that's long and thick, a pale complexion, violet eyes, a small light build and a lithe figure. Her whole appearance is wonderful for disguise because her paleness is just like an artists canvas. You can change it into anything.

Current location: Where everyone else happens to be, The hotel place.

Why: Because that's where she happens to be right now. She's disguised as a tall redhead with brown green eyes.

Other: She carries around a shoulder bag with all her disguise necessities.

The other Other: Up for love.

Okay well I will go ahead and post. You guys can just like do a sort of "pre" action post, like already at the hotel doing you know, whatever it is criminals do on the run....idk. It's so late here.

Sam-

Sam carried three Dairy Queen bags into the shabby hotel room, searching through them while trying to keep the rooms contents hidden from the outside world. All of their loot. He noticed they had shorted him a chicken finger basket. Damn.

"Dad!" He called to tell him that food was here, but there was no answer. Sam looked up and then noticed that the room was empty, although nothing seemed to be out of place besides a chair turned over and all of the things they had stolen from the auction were gone.

He called for his dad again but recieved no answer. He dropped the food bags and moved quickly towards the bed his dad has slept on, still unmade. He reached under the bed and luckily it was still there. He pulled the leather bound journal out and flipped the pages until he found the number. After he checked his watch he dialed. It was a little later in L.A. but not that much later.

One ring. Two rings. Three rings. An answer.

"Saul here." The voice was vauguely familiar, from a not so childish childhood.

"Saul it's Sam, Sam Elles."

"Sam Elles? Sammy, how're you doing?"

"I'm calling to ask if you heard from my dad."

"No, I haven't talked to Markus in, oh about six months now. Why? Is something wrong?"

"He's gone. I left a couple hours ago and came back and he's gone, and so is everything from out last job."

"Where are you?"

"Madison, Wisconsin. This isn't like him, I don't think he left by choice."

"I want you to come out here, get on a plane, steal a car, just get out here. Something is up and we can't figure it out if we are on different sides of the country."

"What if he comes back?"

"Just get here."

The line went dead. Sam started making plans and packing.

*OKay, so don't forget about the missing parent thing. They can already be missing or your character can find that they are missing after the great escape from the hotel. I'm going to wait for everyone to get there first post in before the police come. We have four (possibly five, I have to check with thatannagirl) characters so this should be pretty cool. Have at it*

As he washed his hands, John stared at himself in the mirror. With his blues eyes, each dominated by an unusually large pupil (most likely a result of the drugs he took throughout his early adolescence), and his naturally tidy brown hair, John would have looked quite handsome. Sadly, his face was badly scarred, a result of his turbulent childhood. He was distracted from his dark thoughts when his phone rang.

"Hello?"

"John...John is that you?"

"Yeah...who is this?"

John had a horrible feeling that he could recognise the voice. It sounded like the voice of his brother. As it turned out, he was right.

"It's Ben. Listen, I..."

"How did you get my number, Ben?" John growled, "You better not be working with the police, 'cus if you are..."

"John, relax," Ben's voice was soothing, yet patronising, "listen...Dad's gone missing."

"Missing?"

"Yeah, he just-"

The phone cut off. Clearly one of them had lost their signal, or Ben ran out of credit. John threw his phone out the window, not wishing to risk being tracked down. He went to his room, and laid down, staring at the ceiling. Something wasn't right.
