Random photographs

I study Film at the moment but I did photography for a year, that in no way means I am good at it though because as soon as I could, I stopped studying it lol I found that studying it stopped me wanting to photograph for fun. These are just a few of my favourite photographs that I have taken. Photography is just a hobby for me now really, I don't look for inner meaning in my photographs and I don't like photoshopping my photographs, I feel like it is cheating So enjoy and comment if you want.

In Edinburgh. I was told by a lecturer that birds were too easy to photograph and I should not take photos of them.

Most of them were taken with a little kodak digital camera I had when I was younger. The one with the bird in Edinburgh was taken on my Canon SLR.

These are some nice pictures- I love the animal ones.

Photo 1: There are too many subject in this photo. I think you were aiming for the birds, but I noticed the old people first. ^_^ I love when old people walk together. It's so sweet.

2. Eh. Looks like a dreary place.

3. I like this photo. The glare goes nicely for some reason. It would be nicer if you had gotten the angle's profile.

4. I love this. It's so interesting.

The animal photos are so cute! I love the robin!

Thanks for the review Haruno Sakura! In the first photo I was aiming to get just the birds in flight but when I looked back through all the photos, I had plenty where I caught the bird against the sky but I kind of liked the old people walking in the background lol

I love the Robin one too. Me and my Dad were down by this waterfall and when we were walking back the Robins were following us up the path

1. I agree with Sakura: old people walking together is so sweet. ^^ The bird in mid-flight is very nice too.
2. Winter certainly doesn't look lively there.
3. Beautiful! The glare is perfect. I personally like how the angel is facing the light. Very lovely!
4. Again, brilliant. The balance of light and shadow is near-perfect! ^^
5. Aw! This is adorable. The focus on this was very nice too, but I think the bird could've been centered a little bit more. (That's just me being picky.)
6. How cute! I love otters. Where did you use to work? ^^
7. Not bad! Dull, compared to the rest of the pictures, but not bad. I think you could touch up the lighting a bit.

Overall: Very nice! The first five were lovely shots. I would suggest getting an editing program (you can download many for free) and touching some of them up. I find that fun to do, anyways.

I have photoshop CS3 I used it for my photography course but as I said I don't really like touching stuff up even though sometimes its fun!

I used to work at an Otter Trust in the Pennines in England. It was work experience really for two weeks. I'm glad you liked the photos.

The lecturer may have been right about some types of birds, but a professional photographer and teacher told me to practice with birds, since they are quick moving. She said that birds of of the better things to practice with.

Anyway!

First picture: Amazing composition! The widespread wings of the bird, the peaceful surrounding scenery and the old couple really give the photo an amazing overall effect. Perfect! By the way, is that white bird in the air a dove?

Second picture: It's rather dark and greyish, but I like the tight curve of the road. No wonder they say American roads are better than the Euro ones . It's a bit of a distractions in the photo, but overall it's a decent shot.

Third: Bee-yoo-tiful. I actually like the glare of the sun in this one. The angel statue silhouette gives it a nice effect, too.

Fourth: I really like this one! It feels adventurous, and almost mysterious. Great shot.

Fifth: Such a pretty bird! I think you should tweak this one on photoshop and maybe contrast it a bit so the colors stand out more.

Sixth: Such a cute otter! His expression is priceless! I want him as a pet . Him/Her... whatever .

Seventh: I like the clarity and color of this one . Great job.




You seem to have a knack for good pictures! I would definitely love to see more photos by you. Great job, and keep it up!

I think the bird was just a type of seagull lol

I'm not a photographer in any other area than the hobby basis one. But i still have opinions:P

The first one is sooooo lovely! It definately works twofold. One with the seagull in mind and the old couple. And i have to agree with the others. Old couples walking togheter is soooooo sweet!

The second one - I like it. It reminds me of england somehow. It's misty and... I love snow so the snow is really just the pure brilliance of it. It's just a bit mysterious as well, what's lurking round the turn?? A great one for inspiration...

The third one - I get what they mean with getting the angels profile, but then i think you would lose the amazing way the sunlight shines through the tree! I notice that it seems to be in a grave yard - and that makes the light better it's like the spirit that's left...

fourth one - well, i think of children in summer clothes in april or may, just thrilled that it's warm and sunny again. I can really picture them running up to go home for tea or something.

fifth - the robin is SOOOO cute

sixth - The otter is even cuter, it reminds me of Narnia... he's so pretty.

7th - lovely. Get it in black and white (i prefer black and white:P) and print it on a canvas and put it on my wall:P

these picturea are so very beautiful. i love the natural scenes. instead of being planned, the pictures were taken spontaneously. i think those are the best kind.

the first one is beautiful. a perfect and happy old couple in the background captures a classic for of happiness perfectly. and the bird taking flight, or landing, whichever, in the foreground, a white seagull among grey. i dont know. haha, just plain beautiful.

the snow covered downhill road is also very amazing. that road looks kind of dangerous though! snow covered downhill? haha

i ABSOLUTELY love the puffed up bird!he is so cute. and the otter looks almost fake. it looks like he has a personality, and you captured it beautifully.
