For completely typical but enjoyable romance books, try authors like Jill Mansell and Cecelia Ahern.

I recommend Cecelia Ahern's "If you could see me now".

Such a good book!

Flipped by Wendelin Van Draaken (One of the cutest love stories I've ever read)

Shug by Jenny Han (that'll actually be in the children's section, but nevertheless, it's still enjoyable)

Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison (This one's funny)

When It Happens by Susan Colasanti (Very, very good. Reminiscent of Say Anything, the movie)

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (Not actually a favorite of mine, but it's good enough)

I enjoy reading Romance novels by Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught, Catherine Anderson and Nicholas Sparks ...
They're generally really good, although Anderson tends to be a little sappy, I think.

Beastly by Alex Flinn.

It's a kind of modern Beauty and the Beast.

I love romantic books, but I haven't find the perfect one for me.

I can recommend you 'Waves' by Sharon Dogar... I don't know if you'll like it... I love it, it has some romance, but it isn't completely romantic... Check it out!

No, its not a book. But it's a wonderful old woman whos read about a thousand romance novels. And they're all reviewed and rated up on her site.
If it has a high score from her; it's probably a fantastic work. Because she is really, really picky. And hilarious. If you like romance, check her out NOW.

I definitely agree with some posters here. Sarah Dessen is a very good romance novelists. I adore all her stories.

I also suggest:

The Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac By: Gabrielle Zevin
*Not the mostly nicely written but a very sweet romance with a twist*

A Northern Light By: Jennifer Donnelly
*This will become a classic I promise you. Very well written, murder and romance. Very very good book but a harder read*

The Nature of Jade By: Deb Caletti
* I personally loved loved loved this book.*

I, Coriander By Sally Gardner
*An easier read but I still love this book. With a mix you fantasy, historical fiction and romance its a healthy mix*

Before I Die By: Jenny Downham
*Very sad, but a very tender romance. This book made me cry*

Greener Grass By: Caroline Pignat
*More Historical Fiction than anything but their is some romance in this. If you're looking for something specifically romance, than this one isn't worth reading*

The City of Bones, The City of Ashes, The City of Glass By: Cassandra Clare
*This is a very original twisted romance. Okay, very very twisted romance. it's worth it to read all the way through the series*

The Blue Bloods, Masquerade, Revelations *The Blue Bloods Series* By Melissa De La Cruz
A different vampire series. Another twisted romance novel crossed with a vampire action book. *

Hope you like my suggestion :D Have a good read!

The Heights- Brain James
This is a remake of the classic "the wuthering heights" and while isn't as much a romance book, but more an exploration of love and hate and revenge, and the extremes people will go to get love, and the hate it can inspire in others.

While the beginning was a bit melodramcatic, don't put it down. The author has a good reason to make the beginning so sappy- it makes the ending all the more tragic.
Don't expect a Twilight in a different setting- this is a great book on the way people act.

If you're feeling in the mood for a romance style, but can't stand a Twilight in a different setting, this is a book. While romance plays a part, it has a true resounding message, theme, and it doesn't make you feel like you committed literary sin for reading it.

Definitely: The Princess Bride! It's one of the best books for romance, in my mind, plus it'a a classic that you can't go without. There's also The Secret Circle, if you're looking for witches in love, which is an overall good book, but kind of makes you say "Meh, I've read better." Okay, let's see... there's the Uglies series that has more to do with our ruined future than love, but love exists there, and there is a lesson involving love, so if you want to try out different types of love then there's always that... I actually can't seem to think of any other works right now. I hope this helped!
