I recently tried to do a watercolort of Sirius Black in Azkaban with him dreaming of being back at home with his Godson. Sadly, it was a major failure and I would really appreciate it if someone could give me advice on the art of watercolors!

You've got good tone and I love the way you've done the stem and the leaves with all different greens. What did you use to do this? It looks like watercolours with watercolour pencils?
I don't know a huge amount about art but I thought I would say I like it, even if I can't be too helpful
Well done!
Sofi.
EDIT: I didn't notice what you wrote at the top, before so ignore my question about what you used haha I'm sorry I couldn't give you any useful tips though

It looks so real and it reminds me of the summertime. Where I live they grow a lot around the summer and I really miss them. I wish I could paint like this.

Oh this is great! I like how on the top right corner the petals don't look perfect, they kind of fall downward and it makes the flower look so much more natural, great job.
HI!!
It's a really nice picture, very summer-y and sunshine-y!
I don't know much about water colours so I don't think I can help you. But I would suggest that you practice drawing, tracing Sirius first and then moving on to watercolours. You could do shading with pencil/charcoal even if you use water colours, because as far as I've tried, it's easier this way.
A little nitpicking:
1. The bottom-most leaf could do with a little more detail (veins etc.)
2.The black bit near the bent part of the petals; near that, there is this teeny weeny white bit. Be craeful next time.
These are only little minore details, you should take care of.
Anyways, Keep drawing!

hey, just wanted to say i really like this. i think it's perfect and beautiful and needs to adjustments.
what's great about being a teenager is that you can change yourself as much as you like and nobody will say anything because they'll equate it to being a part of growing up
This is beautiful! I love how you added the "shading" to this. Shading/Highlights-- whatever it's called .
This has emotion in it! It captures the sunshiney feel of summer, and the droop of it also touches the "dog days" . You did a really good job here, dear. Keep it up!
The leaf on the left side looks a little bit underdone compared to the others. Maybe add a little more detail if you can? If you don't it's still great as it is .
I would love to see more of your paintings! You're obviously good!
Great job!

wow. this is such a beautiful painting.
the flower looks almost life-like.
the detail is amazing.
man, i only wosh i could do art like that.
overall, very beautiful!
Thank you all so much. On my next sunflower (I like them too much to do just one) I'll try to keep the posture in the bottom leaves as one or two of them seem to be wilted a bit. And I'll keep detail in mind with the leaves as well. I recently tried another watercolor that made me lose all hope, it was terrible, but I'll try again--perhaps try something with acrylics? Having watercolor paper might help, as this was just sketching paper and a few colors leaked. Thank you again for taking the time to give you opinion guys!
