I posted a story today, I usually post my things pretty spur the moment before I loose steam on them, so it needed a lot of work. Anywhoot, someone reviewed my piece and pointed out that I had started off many of my sentences with conjunctions. Most of them I've changed, but some of them are in dialogue, and that's how the character speaks. Do you find it acceptable to start a sentence of dialogue off with "and" on occasion? Just want to get some opinions here, I want my piece to be the best it can be.

If your character speaks that way, then it's perfectly fine to start a sentence with 'and'. I have a character who stars off his sentences with 'tch'. It's great fun making up speaking styles for people.
There once was a cat. He wasn’t particularly fat. Fuzzy was his favorite mat. And really, that was that.
Oh, but did you really think so? Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show! And as for how far this tale will go… Well, even the cat doesn’t know.
A tip for dialogue: All grammar rules are out the window. Have you ever written down what you speak? The grammar is usually pretty bad.
Boiled down- In prose, worry about grammar, but for everything in your character's head and what comes out of their mouth, just write the way they want to talk.
