Slumdog Millionaire?!

Has anyone seen the movie? Did you like it?

Being an Indian, since the oscar nominations were announced, all I can see when I switch on the televsion, is the fuss being made around it. Of course, an Indian got the first Oscar nomination ever (In this case three) for the music of this movie, but I think the composer's ( A.R.Rahman's) many other songs are way better.

I have yet to meet a single person who didn't love this. Including myself. A little too cheesy at times, but definitely awesome.

I think it should get several oscars. I loved it!

I absolutely loved this movie to several pieces.

LOVED this movie. It's up there with my top five favorites. I loved the mixture of dark, edgy-ness and hope.

It wasn't what I expected at all (but not in a bad way!) in terms of the storyline.
I didn't realise it was a book before it was a film except now I'm a bit sceptical to read it because I've seen the film and I'm funny with stuff like that

But yes I did enjoy it very much I think it deserved the awards it won, especially for things like Cinematography, I thought that was done very well

It was so good! I am in love with Dev Patel.

I honestly don't think I've met a person who saw it and wasn't pleased. I absolutely loved everything about it and it really gave a slap of reality that most people in Indian are treated poorly considering it's a developing country.

It was pretty good. Frost/Nixon was the best Best Picture nominee, however.

I'm with Icaruss. Frost/Nixon was a great film.

It was decent. I was biased against it when I first watched it, but I ended up liking it. I still believe that Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler was a better film though; Mickey Rourke's acting owned everything.

My sister went to see this film and told me she hated it. Knowing her, I knew she just has bad taste. It's the most colourful, honest, funny, life affirming film I've seen in a very, very long time. Perhaps ever. The actors were amazing, the younger and the older- the way India was portrayed I felt was brilliant, the music was well composed and selected, and it had heart.

Well deserved of all the praise it received.

Loved it. It has all these horrible, confronting issues in it (poverty etc) but it is suprisingly uplifting.

I've recently watched it and I loved it! It was really good film, in my opinion.

I read the book and watched the movie, and loved both! It was very, very well done. I LOOOVE Arabic and Hindi music, so I thought the music in this movie was awesome! The soundtrack is on my iPod.

There were some sad and depressing things, but the overall theme of the movie was great. 5 stars from me!
