Always to see but never to feel,
always to speak but never to hear.
Your presence always brings fierce longing,
yet to not be able to hold you, to kiss you,
to protect you, is everyday torture.
To speak without meaning is to hear without understanding.
Longing, constant longing, drives sleep from mind
but when gifted with blissful hours of darkness, your form still
appears to taunt, to torture, to give fake glimpses of
hope that maybe today will be the day where
the mere sight of your eyes bring again the rush
of blood and longing, constant longing, to hold you, to
kiss you, to protect you from those wishing you harm.
Will today be the day where we shall
kiss like the angels?
Softly, sweetly, the whole world captured
in a solitary momemt, or
hard passionate, hungrily, full of longing,
constant longing to touch more with
only bare skin and succumb to our
human instincts to love, to try and
end that blasted longing, constant longing
that fills us with the need to hold, to kiss,
to protect those we love and in return
be rewarded with a glimpse
of your eyes,
touch of your hand,
or even the blessing of angel kisses,
the only living way to experience heaven
