A contemporary novel, eh? Good luck with writing something like that, mate. I have had trouble writing one of my own, though it's a tad bit different from yours, obviously. I wouldn't suggest writing it down here in the Writer's Corner, next time, however. If you want to post the novel, post it in the Advanced Critiques section and people like myself will make time to read it and give you a review for it.

Otherwise, I'm curious to hear more of the story. PM me once you post it up.
I'm advertising here: Rosetta...A Determinism of Morality...out May 25th...2010 album of the year, without question.

Thank you for your reply Krupp. I'll keep working on this. I may change the first chapter a little and finish it. I just didn't get you opinion on my text. Did you like it or was is totally crap? I'll PM you once I post some more of the novel as you asked.

Thanks,

Don't. Don't start the novel with a prologue that explains what the novel is about. The novel should explain what the novel is about.
there are many problems in our times
but none of them are mine

The day, which was one of the first of spring, cheered even me by the loveliness of its sunshine and the balminess of the air. I felt emotions of gentleness and pleasure, that had long appeared dead, revive within me. Half surprised by the novelty of these sensations, I allowed myself to be borne away by them, and forgetting my solitude and deformity, dared to be happy.
