Writer's Digest?

Okay, so I've been getting Writer's Digest for about a year and a half now, but I want to know if anyone else here on YWS gets Writer's Digest and if so, what do you think about it?

I personally think that there's more advertisements than there are articles, so therefor, it kind of ticks me off because I'm paying for tips and help on improving my writing style, not paying to read advertisements.

Any tips and suggestions as to what you all think and whether I should trash my subscription or keep it?

I don't know of any other writing magazines, per se. If I would, I might just switch. Anyone have any suggestions on that as well?

I get Writers Digest. I have to agree about the advertisements, they do seem to be rather excessive and stupid at times. However, I happen to find the articles to be very helpful to me, and if not helpful, they are at least a good read. Shop around if you wish to, but I would advise you to stick with Writers Digest

Thanks you two. I think that I am going to keep my Writer's Digest subscription, but I'm also thinking about subscribing to The Writer.

I agree. Writer's Digest does help a lot and it's a great read, but most times, the articles aren't aimed toward my issues... And the ads really, really bug me.

I love The Writer. It's amazing. Also, Writer's Yearbook is good. I haven't gotten Writer's Digest, but I might, if it's any good.
