Addix songs Part 2

Alright, so this requires some explanation.
The 'novel' I'm writing is about a band called Addix. They are working on making their CD and what not. I wrote a series of songs as 'their songs' cause I'm a freak and when I wrote about them writing songs and what not I actually wanted there to be some legit songs.
I just want to know if they are any good.
I don't really consider myself to be much of a songwriter so any feedback/tips would be much appreciated!
This thread is for the ballads on their 'CD'. I'm going to post all of them on this first post. (I only do this because I don't want to make 12 different posts on this board.) The most upbeat and in-between songs will each be on different threads so look for them too!
The number indicates the order I wrote them in.
Some have been deleted because I no longer like them and are not part of my 'novel'

Okay, Part 2.

I’m just going to do what I did with the first one. Here it goes.

#2. Your Backyard

We had a good four years
But then things fell apart
I never meant to hurt you
I know you think it’s not true
But I just wish that we were back in your yard

This last line bothers me because it’s so wordy. Try “I just wish that we were still in your backyard.”

Theme
The theme here is a cute one. It’s about childhood love and that seems to be something that gets lost in music a bit so I like how you did it. I would give some example of a song it reminds me of, but well, this doesn’t remind me of anything in particular, meaning that the lyrics are original.

#7. Dream (Heart on my sleeve)

Not only is this another love song…but I have to say that I like the title and didn’t have any overall problems with it. The theme isn’t the most original and you can see similarities with this song and Avril Lavigne’s When You’re Gone in the fact that both share the idea of being lost without the one that you love. But I like how you give it to us. Good.

#10. My Heart

Forcing it

And made him
Act like an ass-hole freak

Okay, in the first set, I mentioned forcing it. In the first set, the use of ‘bitch’ is subtle and natural, but here, ‘ass-hole freak’ just doesn’t fit. It feels…wrong and I’m sure you can find a better word to go in here.

Theme
Okay, you’ve got the basic idea here, but remember cause and effect. He’s hurt her, but that’s all you tell us. Look at Number One by Skye Sweetnam. Yeah, some girl stole her man’s heart but hey, she found some way to totally work it off. So don’t just cry over the past that was lost. Look ahead to the future.

#12. You're mine

I have to say, I rarely think of banjo when I think of alternative but it’s a nice twist and this whole song reminds me of the song by Yellowcard, Dear Bobbie with its way of telling a whole life together and into eternity. So sweet. I have nothing bad to say here.

All and All
Romance is the biggest selling point in music. When you think about it, how many CD’s do you own that don’t have at least one love song on it?…like…none. Everyone falls in love and musicians write about it. So it’s good that you wrote love songs aplenty.
