Looking back on those days, we were so reckless; we lived without a care in the world. Getting drunk in the back of cars at twelve o’clock on a weekday, man, we did it all. It was the summer of my junior year in high school when I met her. I was a little shy; her looks intimidated me from a mile away. I’ll never forget the first time I saw that smile. Blonde hair, blue eyes, B-cup; hell, she was everything a man could look for and more.

Things happen so fast, you know? One second I was too afraid to kiss this girl and the next I was drunk enough to shove my tongue down her throat. We ended up dating a week after we met. She was so amazing to be around, always with little sparkles in her eyes… I used to stare at her just to glance a smile. We just sort of, clicked; it was like yin and yang, for every flaw I had she just seemed to balance it out with perfection.

I pretty much worshiped the ground she walked on. What can I say, she made me happy, and she made me feel good. We dated all that year, and kept on going into summer. That was probably the best summer of my life, full of keggers and Kenny Chesney. I can’t remember not having a good time the entire summer; hell, it was impossible to have a bad time when I had my baby there with me. Everyone just knew we were together, we were perfect.

“I love you. I love you completely and entirely; I am yours.” I’ll never forget that day. It was my birthday, the big eighteen, the start of my senior year at high school. I came home from school that day and she surprised me. There were rose petals trailing from the front of my driveway all the way up the stairs and into my room. I didn’t understand, just thought my dog might have gotten at a bag of roses or something.

She was sitting on my bed with a card in her hand, looking so beautiful. She really outdid herself that day; she was the most stunning thing I had ever seen, classier than the classiest of chicas. I mean it, man, she was just that pretty. Anyways, I went and sat down next to her. She looked at me, looked so deeply into my eyes; I swear she was looking into my thoughts. And I just stared, captivated by the site of her, by those pearl-like blue eyes. She kissed me, a quick peck, just enough to make smile.

I pulled away and looked at my lap, the envelope laying there. It was an ordinary birthday card, except she got me a Spiderman one. He was always my idol and all. I opened up the card and inside was the sweetest thing I ever received. I never cried so hard.

We ended up getting engaged, our senior year in high school. People always told us we were too young, we weren’t ready for what marriage offers. Bullshit. We were in love, madly in love at that. She was my everything, my entire world. I’ll never forget the day I lost her.

It was raining that day, and she was coming over late. Her dad had flipped out about her grades, he slapped her. I remember the rage I felt inside, like a thousand fires burning through my body. I was going to kill him, I really was. She calmed me down though, just like she always does, hearing her voice on the phone just made me forget everything else. She promised me she was okay, that she was still coming over. I could hear the crying she was trying so desperately to hold back.

I remember hearing the police sirens, seeing the ambulance, getting the phone call. I remember the look on her mother’s face, her dad’s tears. Everything went slow motion, I couldn’t feel, this must be a dream, right? She can’t be gone, no, not her, someone else. I pretended she was okay; she would be in my arms later that night.

I wish I still believed that.

elaborate on her smile-paint a picture][/b]

Blonde hair, blue eyes, B-cup; hell, she was everything a man could look for and more.
[everything a man could want, plus more] consider dropping hell?

Things happen so fast, you know? One second I was too afraid to [kiss this girl] and the next I was drunk enough to shove my tongue down her throat. [kiss her]

try toning it down-a bit vulgar for my taste

We ended up dating a week after we met. She was so amazing to be around, always with little sparkles in her eyes… I used to stare at her just to glance a smile.
[ I used to stare at her just so I could see her smile]

We just clicked; it was like yin and yang, for every flaw I had she just seemed to balance it out with perfection.

[for every flaw I had, she counteracted with her good qualities]

I pretty much worshiped the ground she walked on. What can I say, she made me happy, and she made me feel good. [happy and good-redundant]

We dated all that year, and kept on going into summer. [We dated that entire year into summer]

That was probably the best summer of my life, full of keggers and Kenny Chesney. [instead of comma after life put a dash]

I can’t remember not having a good time the entire summer; hell, it was impossible to have a bad time when I had my baby there with me.
[I cannot remember a dull moment that entire summer, because with my baby by my side boredom was impossible]

Everyone just knew we were together, we were perfect. [a dash again instead of a comma]

“I love you. I love you completely and entirely; I am yours.” I’ll never forget that day.
[I'll never forget the day that she said those unforgettable words]

It was my birthday, the big eighteen, the start of my senior year at high school.
[replace at with in]

"Blonde hair, blue eyes, B-cup; hell, she was everything a man could look for and more. "
"I can’t remember not having a good time the entire summer; hell, it was impossible to have a bad time when I had my baby there with me. Everyone just knew we were together, we were perfect. "
Maybe you could remove "hell". I think it sounds better.

"I pretty much worshiped the ground she walked on. "
It's worshipped, but that's a good phrase!

“I love you. I love you completely and entirely; I am yours.”
Try changing it to "I love you with all my heart; I'm yours."

"She really outdid herself that day; she was the most stunning thing I had ever seen, classier than the classiest of chicas. "
I think "classiest of chicas" sounds a bit wrong, maybe you could use something less out there. Chicas sound like sexy women and classy doesn't really involve being sexy. Like "classier than the classiest women" or "classier than Audrey Hepburn."

"I mean it, man, she was just that pretty."
Take away the man, and start a new sentence. E.g. "I mean it. She was just that gorgeous."

"She looked at me, looked so deeply into my eyes; I swear she was looking into my thoughts."
Instead of "I swear she was looking into my thoughts" try "it felt as though she was looking right through me."

"captivated by the site of her"
I like how you used that phrase but a slight misspell. It's sight.

"He was always my idol and all."
He had always been my idol. The "and all" at the back seems a bit redundant.

"I never cried so hard. "
Since you used never in the last sentence of the next paragraph, maybe you could tweak it a little to "I can't remember the last time I cried so hard."

"She calmed me down though, just like she always does, hearing her voice on the phone just made me forget everything else."
Try splitting that sentence into two. She calmed me down, with her soft soothing voice. Hearing her voice, the rage within me began to vanish.

"Everything went slow motion, I couldn’t feel, this must be a dream, right? "
Everything went by so slowly, I was numb, this can't be happening!

I like your writing, maybe just with some tiny tweaks here and there it'll be awesome. The phrases you used were very vivid. I hope I managed to help!

Since everyone seems to have pointed out the mistakes I could find,
There's one thing I'd like to say:

Blonde hair, blue eyes, B-cup; hell, she was everything a man could look for and more.

That's what you said. It kind of...insults both males and females.
You're implying that guys are after a girl for her looks.
And it isn't very nice for some females to hear that XD

But that's just my opinion. And I guess some men really do go after those with looks.
Anyway, it's your story :)

I did like ti overall. Nice, sad ending.

P.S: We have a rule in YWS, that for every one work(story, poem, art etc...), you must review 2 other works that aren't by you.

Quid pro quo. We help you, you help us :)

Like tnme22 said, you must follow that rule. It's super important. But, unlike tnme22, I can't resist critiquing your story since I already started

I used to stare at her just to glance a smile.

I know what you mean here, but it still is kind of awkward. Maybe try: I used to stare at her just so that I could get the chance to see her smile. If I'm way off on what you mean here, just ignore the above and I just suggest to rewrite this.

I wish I still believed that.

Wow, what an ending... :D

All right, to get straight to the point, I thought this was the loveliest and sweetest thing I have read in a very long time. I loved every minute of it. However, I would have liked to hear more of his thoughts on his birthday. I felt like you just kind of skimmed over that part. I mean, they met, he cried, the end kind of thing, you know? I would go into more detail at the scene.

Otherwise, I thought it was beautiful. If you ever have any other questions, just PM me when let me know

Good Luck with the rest of your writing.
