The Plot:

You're a teenager growing up in a small town. Summer is here, and you find yourself looking for work. On the way to the town hall, you meet a mysterious girl...

Rules: keep it realistic! No magical powers are allowed.
Don't kill anyone. If you get really ticked at someone, work it out.

Brief history: She is teh youngest out of ten kids and the only girl. She's a big tomboy, but can out priss the biggest girly girl.

Breif History: Emma grew up with just herself and her older brother. Older brother always gave her what she wanted. Emma is not a brat, but a big sweet heart. She is very quiet, but not shy. She is romantic.

Name: Aoi Nobou (prefers to called Nobu)
Gender: male
Age: 15
Brief History: He just recently moved in from Tokyo, and small-town life is a bit of a let-down. Aoi enjoys playing online games, including Guild Wars and WoW.
Other: Tends to be outgoing, if a little moody. His friends back in Japan know when to leave him alone.

This place... it's so quiet. That was Nobu's first thought. Then he decided, I could get used to it... maybe.

He strolled past the town hall (imagine, an actual town hall!) and paused. There was a girl sitting on the steps, a book propped open on her lap. She looked half-asleep.

Emma

Emma had been reading the greatest book, only, to her dismay, she had fallen asleep.

"Hello?" Somebody leaned down to see her properly. It was a kid from Japan, from the looks of it, and he looked about her age, if not a little younger.

Emma sat up groggily. "Hi," She muttered.

"Good book?" the boy laughed.

"Well, depends upon your point of view," Emma said.

"My name is Nobu."

"Emma," She shook hands with him. "Pleased to meet you."

"Have you lived here long, Emma? I need a place to stay."

She looked shocked. "But... you can't be older than nineteen!"

He nodded. "My parents kicked me out... but before they did, they agreed to buy me a ticket to any country I chose."

"They sound nice. Tell you what: I'll introduce you to Buck. He's in charge of residential matters."

Emma

Emma walked along the sidewalk, abandoning the book. She motioned for Nobu to follow.

"So, what kind of home are you looking for?"

"Anything," He said. Nobu looked like he needed some sleep.

"Okay, just hold on, we're almost to Buck's place. You'll like him, at first he may seem a little shady, but that's just-" Emma stopped.

"What?" Nobu looked a little confused.

"Dammit!" Emma took off running to an old abandoned building that had a sign on it that said: Shut Down due to infestation. "This was Buck's residents." She thought for a moment.

"Well, we have a guest room at my house. My brother won't mind, I think. You could stay at my house until you find a better home."

That's taken care of. Fire and I are one and the same.

Leal:

Leal walked around the town kicking at a stone or two. She was tired, bored, and annoyed at everyone. "He's been shut down for a while." She said as she passed Buck's place.

"No hehasn't he was just open last week." The guy replied. She shrugged.

"Got closed three days ago. Guess that seems like a while for me sense all I ever do is walk around and do nothing." She shrugged as she kept walking.

Name: Pipaluk "Pipa"Shier
Age: 14 but keeps reminding people that she will be 15 in two months
Gender: female
Brief history: Her mother died when she was six and her father travels a lot. She is very multi-cultural, goes around the world with her dad during the summer, and is fluent in a few languages: Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, French, Greek, Italian, and Egyptian. She loves to read, and lays on her hammock when she feels moody or blue.

Pipa laid on her hammock staring at the summer sky. Invisible trails of tears were still fresh on her face. Her father had left that morning to go to Tokyo for a week, so their annual beginning-of-the-summer camping trip was canceled.

She had tried to read, but she had no interest in them at the moment. Pipa was to upset. Carefully getting off the hammock, she decided to go for a walk.

She walked for awhile with her head down. Pipa kicked a fairly large pebble into the drain. It clanged loudly as it hit the metal. Not noticing where she was going, Pipa ran into someone and fell over.

Holding her hand to her new-found bruise, she squinted into the sun to try to see the person's face. The stranger's hand was held down for her to grab.

Pipa whined softly; she didn't want to get up. Her head was spinning like crazy.

The person helped her up. Pipa rested her head on their shoulder, her vision was spinning.

Brief history: She is the mysterious person! (yay.) Key word mysterious. I'll reveal more throughout the story.

Appearance: Short red hair. It's thick and up to her chin. She is small and svelte. She can disappear it seems into crowds and other places. She is master of disguise and so you really don't know who she is. Her eyes remain weirdly violet. She doesn't change that color. Her favorite disguises are a tall girl with long curly blonde hair and a average sized girl with medium length straight brown hair.
