Aurora scanned the inner mountian village. It was about the size of Carradyne before it began to crumble.

Atop a low hill was a church, it's stained glass windows shone brightly in the artificial lighting. She walked to it on a broken stone path, as the villagers searched for huts to call their home.

King Ganan and the press were deciding what they should do next.

Lady Aurora kept looking over her shoulder, to the enterance of the village, hoping to see Caleb safe, yet to her dismay, he didn't appear there.

She walked up to the heavy oak doors of the church, and pushed on it with all her might.
Inside was the smell of must and coolness. There were pews lining the entire floor and a cross stood tall in the center of the front.

Aurora walked over to the cross, and bent on her knees she prayed.

And she planned on continuing to pray until Caleb returned.

Caleb returned with Marko an hours later an saw people rebuilding their lifes.

Then suddenly Aurora rushed up to him an hugged him, then she saw Marko an looked at Caleb angerily.

"What is he doing here? Caleb.... What -" Aurora pulled away from the embrace, too furious to speak anymore, so upset. She looked at Caleb, his eyes were shocked and worried.

"Sir Caleb of Carradyne, you have angered me. I'm going to fetch father and when he's through with you, this traitor will be the next to feel his wrath.,!" With that Aurora pulled up her dress to her knees and turned off to find King Ganan.

"But Aurora Caleb stuttered he sweared loyalty to Carady...."

"Dam she gone"mumbles Caleb.

Marko spoke well what a welcome he said sarcastically i expected this to be like heaven."

"Marko this is you're fault, you caused Carradyne to fall, so don't complain got it... Caleb replied feriously.

ASide from the tears in her eyes Lady Aurora could see clearly now.
Caleb was either foolish or a traitor like Marko.
She ran around the underground world searching for King Ganan when suddenly from out of the blue, appeared Caleb: standing there alone.

"Aurora let me explain, Marko is in a uneasy alliance with Carradyne now to get his daughter back Caleb pleaded."

Aurora was still not pleased, but hugged Caleb none the less, later on she would interrogate Marko, but now all she wanted to do was embrace Caleb.

Caleb was taken aback by Aurora's hug. He stood still.

"I don't want Carradyne to fall, but it has. My Father is sick, he will be gone soon, I am sure of it, and as much as I hate it I'll be left... You bringing Marko here, no matter how much he has pledged to us--I don't know-- is still a threat to me and my people. Caleb do you understand? I must tell father of Marko's arrival... or you must. Either take Marko to my father or bring Marko to me so I may deliver him," Aurora let go and looked Caleb straight in the eyes. Her affection for him began to grow and she had a feeling he knew she loved him.

Caleb looked at her. He loved her.
"I shall bring Marko to the King, this is not your burden to bear."
"You are aware if my father rejects him, Marko will be killed for the sake of our secrecy." Aurora looked at him seriously.
Caleb, shocked and unknowing of this, nodded as if he did know and went off to retrieve Marko.

"Okay Aurora he is my best friend but judgement must be past, an Aurora if he is a traitor i swear i'll kill him, because i love you" with that Caleb marched off.

When he came back Marko was still their. "Marko prove you're worth to King Ganan an if he believes you, you may live if not then i'll afraid you will be executed."said Caleb

Okay Marko said trying to stay calm he was in the right, he had to prove he was good he knew he was.

They walked off to the Keep.

Aurora stood still. She was in a major shock.
Did Caleb just say he loved me? She thought as she paced around the garden area behind the church atop the hill.

Now she worried, it was near dusk and Caleb hadn't returned, with or without Marko.
Aurora wondered what had happened to the two of them. O, how she wished she weren't so cruel to Marko and that she'd have given him another chance. If he was executed would she ever hear the words I love you again from Calebs lips?

Aurora raced to find her father.

What met Caleb eyes when he entered the keep was horrible King Ganan had been stabbed an left for dead, he could smell the blood, an knew at once what this meant their was traitor about. Marko ran up to him an cried he knew his fate now he was doomed he would be executed by Aurora she hated him he knew that.

Just then the cupboard door broke open an in it was a civilian dead as well, Caleb knew what had to be done he had to marry Aurora he loved she loved him Carradyne needed to be ruled under a iron fist of honore.

Suddenly Aurora came in the door....

"What is going on here? What is that-" She was cut off... I stared at the floor, there lay King Ganan. He was bleeding and it wasn't slowing down.

"FATHER!" She screamed and ran to him, pushing and knocking down Marko and Caleb.

"Who did this? ... MARKO?!" She turned and faced him. Although her eyes were heavy with tears her blind rage shone through her sadness and faced the traitor.

"Shh... take this," King Ganan was coughing and wheezing heavily, it pained everybody to hear it. He rached into his crimson robe and pulled out a long chain, with a medallion of two dragons around a blue opal. "the crest of Carradyne, make it live on!"

King Ganan died with a weak smile on his face.

"FATHER! O, father!" Aurora wrapped her arms around him. She then gasped as she realized there was another man dead.

Caleb edged towards her and Marko edged away. "I am as good as dead, Caleb. I shall leave you alone to discuss my fate."
"But you didn't do it! You were with me the entire time!"
"I know, but, I am not in charge."
Marko walked out the doorway. Surprisingly Aurora didn't call for him to come back, didn't mock him of murdering her father and the other civilian.

"Caleb... how can I go on? How could he have left me in such a tone? Who did this to my father?! Caleb, Who killed my father C-ca-leb?" She was crying so hard that her entire body shook. Caleb tried to pull her away from her father but her grip was strong on him.
"NO I WON'T LEAVE MY FATHER!" But alas, she finally submitted and, in her bloody gown, leaned against Caleb, and helped her find the guards.
Aurora then suddenly noticed.
"Where are the guards? There were guards here in front of the door..." Her eyes widened. Caleb drew in a sharp breath and gasped.

"Caleb... Do you think that- DEAR GOD NO!!" Aurora screamed.
