I have seen a light,
it has dawned in my heart and has moved in my soul.

Who is this man they all call Christ?

Who is this one, who supposedly loved
me so much that he gave his life for me?

The man that wept.
The being that felt hurt and pain.
The person that had the weight
of the world upon his shoulders.

He loved me so much
that he thought of me everyday.

He taught me the mysteries
of his glorious kingdom.

He filled me with a love and
compassion that I have never known before.

He inspired me to write,
putting a poem and song in my heart.

He whispered softly in the wind,
as the leaves begin to swirl around me,
to dream big and that anything is made
possible to the one who believes.

Oh, good, God, almighty.
Can you feel it?
Can't you hear it?
Can you see it?

It's happening.
He is happening.
It is all around us.

I have seen a light,
it has dawned in my heart and has moved in my soul.

Well............

Interesting poem. I like the idea and that you are honest on what you believe.

I have seen a light,
it has dawned in my heart and has moved in my soul.

Nice metaphor and personification.(Throughout the entire poem)

The man that wept.
The being that felt hurt and pain.
The person that had the weight
of the world upon his shoulders.

I like the first two lines. You really brought the painful side out that reminds us that we are not the only beings that suffer or has suffered.

He filled me with a love and
compassion that I have never known before.

Nice

You started good in this and really showed your love. The 'Dream big' part doesn't really fit in there for me.

Oh, good, God, almighty.

Can you see it?

It's happening.
He is happening.
It is all around us.

This was a bit cliche. Well I'm not really an expert when it comes to these kind of poems so I might be wrong.

All in all it is a good poem, but it doesn't 'WOW' me.
Again I say I don't really know what is right or wrong, but still.

I really like this. It isnt traditional, but its illustrative of how you feel about God, or about how the narrator feels about God. I really got how inspirational he was to you. I'm not sure if I believe in God, if I can possibly trsut in someone who lets people suffer and hasn't proven himself to us, but I find people who have this strong faith just...fascinating. Their point of view, their certainty, it has a power to it, and although you might possibly have conveyed this more, I totally got where you were coming from.

"It is all around us.

I have seen a light,

I loved that in particular. You could write a poem just based on that concept. You picked a huge, huge topic and such an interesting one. Maybe just expand more on how amazing God is to you. I mean, he is your creator and the creator of the stars and galaxies so he must be an incredible guy. Write poetry about THAT!!
xx
I just hit my computer
Because it was being slow
I need my daily Smallville fix
And it will not load the video.

I wonder if people felt the freedom in our culture to love louder, if they'd be quicker to say "I miss you" when the absence of someone is felt instead of just thinking it.
