I trust gryphons with my own particular cache.

areida07 wrote:Grif- That kid you're cooking pancakes with looks confused. Did you hit him with the spatula?

No, I don't hit scouts with spatulas. I'd probably use a pan before a spatula.

Really though, I think the look on his face is a result of having his picture taken too early in the morning. You'd be surprised how many bad pictures there are of me. I don't smile in a good deal of them.

I do have a lot of fun though, I have another picture to prove it.

We were getting ready for another canoe trip. The drill was simple: two canoes would go out. One canoe would be purposely flipped. At that point, the two canoes would go perpendicular to one another. Then, the flipped canoe would be brought out of the water onto the dry canoe. After all the water was out, they would then flip it back over, and hold it for the people who were in the water until they were back in the canoe.

In the photo, I'm with a younger scout. He wanted to inch into the water, but I had other plans. He had his feet over the side when I decided he wasn't going fast enough. So, I flipped the canoe myself. It was most rewarding.

It is a little disorienting having the horizons change like that, nevermind suddenly being completely submerged. The water was cold, which made it that much more fun.

However, I did enjoy it. I think I told the scout that I would tip the boat on three. When he tried to exit though, I said "One," and then flipped the boat. You should learn how to exit the hard way.

We flipped a canoe over once...and we weren't even in the water. We had it tied up and turned it into a hammock. Yeah, we really need hobbies.

We don't have any pictures of it, tho. :(

Hey, Griffin, that reminds me of when I got my rowing badge way back when, and I was totally freaking out the other guys by rocking the heck outta the boat. It was great.

And I know it's a bit late for this, but I prefer not to have internet girls, and never would I refer to my girl friends (note- not girlfriends) as any sort of animal reference.

That aside... um... hi!

Ahh....that brings back the memories of when I got my canoeing merit badge.... :)

Griffin... that's awesome. Reminds me of when I was at camp in fifth grade and this one guy tipped his canoe and thought he was drowning... until the counselors convinced him to actually stand up. The water was like waist-high, lol.

Brad...

By the way Hunter, thanks. ;)

 It's not fair, why do all the good looking ones have to be old? And SK, you are just jealous that he has a nice body and you don't!
