God’s mind begot our Gospel truths
But by men they were transcribed
Human hands have formed the proof
Of the doctrine of the skies
We open our hearts to receive the law
And still the Earth has not been saved
The path to peace which Jesus walked
Has yet to be re-paved
So I will call now on the Vatican
And the church of indoctrinated hate
To learn how to stand again
Against what others may call fate
The fate of a corrupted world
To throw away common right
For favor or for holiness
At the price of converted light
The God that is, is mighty
But a tyrant? Never so
What he does is done rightly
His hale morality cannot repose
A new age demands a Gospel
Holy to the core
An honest artless fossil
From the pages of Christian lore
One cannot criticize the God of love
Only the men that choose to stray
Who clothe themselves in jewelered glove
And claim to live above the fray
Love is what Jesus preached
Love for your fellow man
But the boundaries of this law were reached
When men started walking hand in hand
Or when a woman’s gentle kiss
To another woman was dispensed
If this vision came upon a preist
His hate would be incensed
But a brand new rule is rising
Its form is now entrenched
Within the walls of churches
As the old hatred is digressed
They are simply human men
In search of what they need
A love that is true to them
Without a woman’s seed
And a woman who finds no joy
In a man’s embrace
Should not be scorned while her heart employs
A struggle that the world
And though a thousand hateful words
Have been burned into their minds
The adherents to prejudice
Will learn to love in time
