Veterans.

Valor is what it takes,
Everything you’ve ever gotten,
Taken away or lost,
Everyday they fight for our
Rights and freedoms,
And even for the freedoms of other
Nations and countries, but always
Serving for us.

Okay....this was good but this....

Rights and freedoms,

is a no-no. Never seperate a whole sentence just to keep the rythym. That just makes the poem seem odd. Other than that, GREAT JOB! *excuse the caps!

Everything you’ve ever gotten,

-Gotton dosen't sound right at the end there, it sounds a bit clumsy and just well, I don't think that it works.

I like the topic and message, but I don't think this poem really does convey the feelings and emotions that it should, it is quite bland, and really does need a LOT more depth for it to be better in my opinion.

I would suggest you read it out loud to yourself, then you will see what parts don't sound right and what parts do.

finally got around to reading this

i liked this small, nice, and very repectful to the veterans and even soldiers still serving

I see that you are respectful to veterans and that is good + the poem was good but I would say that that was only the begging. It was too short... If you would have done it longer I think it be a really awsome poem. Keep writing!!!

It had to be that length, I wrote it for school on Veterans day.
I couldnt make it longer otherwise I would.
