You know you're a writer when...

You know your a writer when you call your real friends the names of your fictional friends (charcters).

You know your a writer when...

you get annoyed at other people for repeating one word multiple times in a conversation.

you imagine people having epic battles when your bored in (movie theaters, shopping malls, pretty much everywhere)

you look at clothes sometimes and think "Oh, that's what( insert character here) would wear."

you eavesdrop on random peoples conversations to see if you can use it as dialogue

you make up stories for random people you see in public places

you have drawers and bookshelves full of notebooks

you have a favorite pen/pencil/utensil

Slamming three beers is a ritual before opening up Microsoft Word.

you know you are a writer when you feel excited and happy after joining YWG! <3

You know you're a writer when one little thought inspired from your surroundings inspires a whole story line.

You know you're a writer when you're literally writing in your dreams and sleep.

You know you're a writer when your the only one in your house that has a stock pile of writing tablets pens pencils and highlighters

You know you're a writer when you get mad when you watch a movie only to find out later that there is a book it was based off of that you haven't read. Especially if you liked the movie, because the books must be better.

You know you're a writer when your characters have babies and you feel like a proud grandparent.

You know you're a writer when you play out possible scenes you want to put in your current project to find the right words and actions for specific characters to help you fall asleep.

You know you're a writer when you stay up all night finishing 3-8 chapters for your book and you have a test the next day.

You know you're a writer when you make up a whole movie in your head when you are reading a book.

You know you're a writer when you are watching a movie and subtitles form in your head.

You know you're a writer when you have writer's block and still try to glean ideas from everything around you.

You know you're a writer when you write like ten chapters, read it, hate it, trash it and start all over again, making the story better with each failure.

You know you're a writer when you read a professional work, find one error and get so mad you wanna put the book down.

You know you're a writer when after speaking a sentence that had a few grammar errors, you repeat your sentence a second time, editing your mistakes.

Or you just edit other people's sentences.

You know you're a writer when you imagine book characters are your friends and are talking to you since you have no real friends.

Sad and true.

You know you're a writer when you take every situation, seen in movies, read somewhere, or experienced it yourself, and you think of every way that the situation could go to, including stuff which is kinda silly.

You imagine yourself as different characters while writing them.

You rewrite stuff that could be very boring into something really interesting, without changing the storyline.

You turn every dream into a story, and instead of yelling at someone you make a story that is based on them and kinda insults them.
