An idea taken from me and my friends on another forum, based on the philosophy of dæmonism. If you haven't an idea what dæmons/animal personalities are, google them. :3 Here's the plot.

The year is 2230, and technology has soared, becoming more advanced than people have ever imagined. New inventions are being made all the time. Yet there are still strong philosophies, ideas about the soul and body that science is not able to replace. A group of people, known as dæmians, believe that every human's soul is partly in animal shape, forming a spirit bond closer to them than their own heart. But alas, for their dæmons are intangible, incorpreal. They are no more than a glorfied imaginary friend, an introspective way of looking at one's self.
That is, until a scientific research company called the SSC discovers a way to make a person's dæmon corpreal.
Urged by the idea that their animal souls are truly real, ten dæmians go on a quest to find the technology and give it to the public, so that everyone will have the chance to know their true self. They begin on a quest to find the technology, facing danger all the way. For alas, they are not the only ones who know of the technology - the government has found out about it as well, and wants the technology so that they can create an invincible army - people that can send out their bodies to fight while their souls are kept within their dæmon. With that power, nothing would be able to stop them.
And so it begins.

Rules:
1. Only humans are allowed, but each person can have their dæmon, their intangible animal part of their soul. If you're still not an adult, then your dæmon is probably unsettled - it can change from animal to animal. (e.g. my dæmon is a genet, but sometimes hei likes being a bird or a bat.)
2. No 'uberwolves' - dæmons that are mystical creatures or the equivalent of fursonas, like a black wolf with sapphire bird wings and eyes that change color depending on its mood. Stick with real animals, people. This also goes for people - no 'god' characters or super-special people. And try to deviate away from wolves/big cats/birds of prey; they've been used so many times it's not funny anymore. Everyone DOES NOT have a personality like a wolf.
3. Try and write in third person, so that we're all in the same POV.
4. It's not mandatory, but we all love good grammar/spelling!
4. Don't kill off other people unless if I/that person says so.
6. Dæmons are usually the opposite sex of their person, unless homosexual/bi, and are defined by 'hei', 'shei', and 'wei', when talking about our dæmons.
7. Just because I'm anal-retentive, you can type 'dæmon' by hitting 'alt+0230' to give you the 'æ' symbol'. Keep pressing on 'alt' while you punch in the numbers.
8. Pictures of your human character and/or dæmon are greatly appreciated.

Name: Cassandra Houlen - Cassie or Cass
Dæmon: Pantheos, unsettled. Male. Usually a genet, a barn owl, a masked weaver, or a bat or a mongoose.
Age: 18
History/personality: Has been raised with the idea that we all have dæmons by her parents, who are the leaders of the Dæmian philosophy. Technology-savvy and brave, but sometimes listens to her heart when she should listen to her head. Volunteered to go on the quest to find the technology.
Appearance: Short, with black hair and dark blue eyes. Pale skin and small ears, with delicate fingers (good for typing.) Has a tattoo on her wrist in the shape of a Atlantic rune.
Go ahead and make your own characters, stating what group you want to be in. After everyone's done, I'll start. Have fun and good luck!
