Fairytale Skies
The ocean is clouded with white birds
like bright little angels, flying here and there.
The slow ripples that brush my bare feet
are soothing, warm touches.
The horizon at sunset, tinged with orange,
makes me think about your gentle face.
The passing wind pinches my cheek,
just like you do when we were younger.
Remember those pure childhood days,
when I was the Princess and you were the Knight?
Such fantasies I wished were true,
but would you allow it, if I asked you?
Let us write a book, a fairytale about the both of us,
our hopes and wishes, joys and humours.
A world of green hills and endless smiles,
where you and I can sit forever,
entranced by the everlasting sunlight.
Now you shall guide my hand
along this paper called life.
The sky above, an eternal guardian,
shall preserve the moments we had together.
