2 weeks later.
Baton Rouge, LA

Kate slowly aroused from her slumber, her heart beating frantically in her chest. Every since the encounter with Dr. Lincoln, she had been having nightmares, on and off. And they weren't teh good type. This must have been one of her worst. Living in a small town, with the same person who was giving her nightmares, was not working. She had to get out.

Swinging her legs over the side of the bed, she paded over to her bathroom door, her feet making soft tip tap noises as she walked. Opening the door, she went over to the shower and put it on full blast, closing the curtain to catch the water. Stepping out of her clothes, she pulled the curtain back and stepped in, the water hitting her sore and tired muscles like rain after a long drought. She washed her shoulder length hair with shampoo, not bothering with the conditioner, and washed her body with soap. The water ran down her back, soothing the acheing muscles. She laid her forehead against the wall, sighing. A phone rang somewhere in the house, and she groaned, yanking the curtain open.

Drying off with a towel, she walked over to the sink, her hand clinching the towel at the valley between her breasts. What could he have meant by me? Kate thought, her heart racing in her chest at the thought of Dr. Lincoln. Only 31, and one of the most successful doctors in LA. At least until that incident two weeks ago. He was also one of LA’s most eligible bachelors. At 6’2 , he had a great physique: broad shoulders and muscled arms, slim waist that lead to lean thighs and hard muscled calves. His eyes were a unusually deep blue, set in an almond shape. Strong jaw-line and a straight hard nose made him look intelligent. After working with him for three years, she had grown to see him as an intelligent man, except when they disagree. Sighing she studied the reflection in the mirror. Her brown hair was hanging limply past her shoulders. Her soft green eyes, a deep soft emerald color, stared back at her unblinking. Working out three times a week in the gym paid off by giving her a physique most women her age would die for. At 27, that was pretty hard to do. Standing 5’8 she was pretty tall. Most of her family wondered why she didn’t go into the modeling business instead of the medical field. She would simply smile at them and say, “I love helping people.”

Turning away from the mirror, she walked into her bedroom, heading towards the small dresser. Dropping her towel, she rummaged through the drawers looking for something to wear that day. Pulling out her turquoise top and khakis, a new pair of lace thongs and a bra, she walked over to the bed, laying the items on the bed. Walking back to the bathroom she turned the sink on and proceeded to brush her teeth. Rinsing her mouth out, she spat.

Heading into the bedroom, she walked to the bed, pulling on her underwear, then her bra. Turning around she looked for her radio. Finding it, she turned it on, putting it on her favorite channel. Dancing, she slid the khakis on, then pulled her top on. Shuffling back into the bathroom, she put her light makeup on adn jewelry. Sliding her feet into her slippers, she went to look for her phone. Flipping it open she dialed her sisters number.

"Hello?" a grumpy voice asked.

"Morning sun shine! Time to get up." reaching behind her, she turned the radio off. Being the older sister was so fun.

"I don't want to get up! Besides, I don't feel good. Can I please sleep in?" Her younger sister asked.

Kate thought for a second. "Okay, but you have to get up to go to school tomorrow. Love ya. Bye." Hanging up, she looked for her turquise shoes. finding them she slid her feet in them. Time to go to work. she thought, grabbing her keys and heading out the door. Today was going to be a long day.
