~Hey, everyone. Here's part 3. Enjoy.~

Part 3

The Knock

Hearing someone knocking at the front door,
I meet Grandma Essie who is talking to a
girl around my age. Her chestnut colored hair with
tints of blond, sticks out at different ends, showing her
funky style of hair. The taste of fashion shows that she likes
black and white polka dots. A lot.

She sees me staring at her and raises a dark brow
while her pink lips curve up in a excited smile.
“Hey, you must be Essie's granddaughter.”
Grandma must of told her that I was coming.
“Yeah. I'm Hailey.”
“Cool. I'm Harper.”
So the name's Harper. “Why don't you girls go
to the park.” Grandma mentions.
“Sure. Come on, Hailey. It's down the street.”
“Okay.” I smile as Hailey leads me out of the house.

The Park

The place doesn't have much, but it does show
a bridge, so the water from the rain can go underneath.
On other ends of the bridge there are flower bunches
full of white daffodils. “The elderly folks around here
try to keep this place up and going.” Harper tells me
as we walk onto the little bridge.

“I remember going here after it rained and watched
the ducks swim by.”
“Ducks?” She looked at my questionable face and
laughed. “What?”
“Yeah, they somehow got here and swam all day.”
“Oh.” I couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or
funny.

Eventually after time talking about our
childhood memories. Harper invited me to her
house. “Sure.” As I replied, she lead the way back.
Maybe living with Grandma Essie won't be
bad after all.
Mary had a little lamb. Little lamb. Little lamb!

Ugh!! I really hate my name. >.<

Yes, for sure now I see that she is living with her Grandma from now on. It took me a couple of chapters, but I got it hehe

Umm, just thought I point out that you confuse Harper with Haily and vis versa up there so just be careful with that. Also, the conversation with ducks was sort of confusing. Just be clear with what they are saying

Otherwise, another wonderful read.

PM me when you post more, Merry! :D
